Looks great! The part above teh ball on teh hanging cord is plastic though, not metal. It allows it to hang at whatever height you need. It was good for us because we installed on an angled ceiling. I wouldn't want it hanging low in a kitchen though.

Good fixture, great price. Here's an improvement I made (see photo). I don't like the look of light suspended by the electrical wire, so I made a down rod. I used 1/2" copper pipe and sanded it to have a similar brushed look. Then I applied 3-4 light coats of lacquer to resist oxidation (Deft brand). During installation, I simply slipped it over the the wire and pulled the wire tight. I'm happy with the outcome since it gives the fixture some contrast to the brushed nickel appearance.
Used these to replace 6 existing track lights for an updated look to our kitchen. The previous pendant lights had large connectors containing transformers and after 10 years, the transformers have been going out one by one, having to be replaced at a cost more than the cost of each of these lights. I used dim-able LED bulbs, which are more efficient than incandescent and much cooler. Overall, I like the look and shortening the wire and installation was pretty straight forward. I did have some difficulty connecting to the track on some units-I needed to bend the contacts a bit so that they would line up with the track. Also, I would recommend looking in each box to make sure that all the parts are there--some unscrupulous customers returned lights after they had installed them--without all the parts. I was disappointed more than once and thought that Home Depot should have made sure all the part were returned before restocking.
We purchased three fixtures after seeing them in neighbor's house. Living on the NC coast we are always concerned about corosion on metal. Our neighbors have had their lights for over two years and they look new so no problem there. The design and quality are great. We opted for the non trac lighting installation which was more difficult but no different than installing any other light.

Absolutely a fantastic bargain. This fixture looks like a $200 fixture, not a $28 fixture. Was very easy to install, even shortening the cords to get equal length out of multiple hanging lights was easy, but did take some time. Construction is superb for such an economical fixture. The light output is perfect, and looks great on a dimmer. Did have to do some fiddling with the connection to Lithonia track, but well worth the effort.
