This fire ball pit was worth it. It was a bit of a pain and time consuming to put to together, the instructions weren’t completely clear. I recommend watching a YouTube video. But with that said, it was well worth the time and effort. Very nice and appealing. The birch wood trees give a nice accent. A lot bigger than appears in the pictures. Love that it has the sliding door. Can’t say anything negative about the actual product.

Takes some time to assemble but worth the effort! I followed advice of others and painted with High Heat spray paint to ensure it lasted! Opted for silver accents as they only had 2 cans of black paint.

I wanted a fire pit for my backyard and got this fire ball pit with branches as my Christmas gift for my home, it’s a big pit and gorgeous when it’s lit up. It’s therapeutic to sit, watch and hear the crackling woods burning, while I sip on a hot cocoa near it. I bought it already assembled. I’m happy with this purchase.

Read other customer reviews so I decided to spray paint before assembling with high heat spray paint. (Read about rust forming after 1st use). My husband & I assembled it in about an hour and a half. Instructions weren't the best but a little common sense between us got the job done. Looks Good and the heat radiates from all angles. The wood tray comes out easily for quick clean up.

We just love it! So Sturdy. Comes with hook to maneuver top and stoke. Just great for aryies or cool nights when u want to pop a log out and just chill.

I purchased this yesterday at the Cary, NC Store. My Son and his GF came over and it took three of us to put this complicated thing together but, after two hours we loaded the pit with wood and were happy with the fire, it produced nice warmth during our Covid Outdoor Movie Night... This morning I went out to pick a couple of things up and noticed the very top of the pit was deteriorating, the paint was not only bubbled, it looked like it was ashen! Now I have to figure out how to get this dirty thing in my sedan to cart it back to Home Depot :( I wouldn't recommend it...

After viewing several sizes and types of fire bowls, cauldrons and pits, this one stood out for its quality, unique design, and value. It is of heavier construction - not flimsy - and will last several years. It was relatively easy for one person to unpack and assemble in under an hour. At 35 inches across, it adequately heats 4-6 people in a circle. The removable fire/ash tray makes cleanup super easy. Would recommend buying a cover to extend the product's life and protect it from rust.

I was a little reluctant to buy this fire pit after I read all of the reviews. Some people said that it was hard to put together things didn't lineup and the such. It took me one hour and 15 minutes to assemble by myself using a little common sense. The pictures that come with the fire pit are a little hard to read but common sense and lining up holes made the process a lot smoother. The metal around the fire pit seems a little flimsy but the base is sturdy and a fire pit bowl is sturdy as well. I do recommend buying it because it is good looking and puts off a lot of heat with the base being made with holes all around so air can flow through Nd heat can escape.

We were looking for a large, stable fire pit for fall nights and s’mores that did not break the bank. I didn’t hold out hope that our local store would have anything left in stock, but we were super happy to find this guy. It’s beautiful and pretty solid once assembled. I didn’t find the directions difficult, but a big thank to the reviewer that mentioned the 4 bolts that are slightly larger. The directions list them, but it’s easy to miss. This is a cheaper fire pit, so rust could be an issue, but we’ll keep dry and revolt with rust-oleum if necessary. I do think it should come with a cover for this much money. Thank you Home Depot for a little joy during these crazy times!

I live in a walkable neighborhood so the lots aren’t that big and this fire pit is a pretty good side even for urban living. I think it has a nice look to it and is fairly contemporary looking. It’s capable of holding a big fire and creates a really nice ambiance.

Easy to assemble, took me a little over an hour by myself. The instructions were relatively clear - just pay attention to which bolt you’re supposed to be using (some are longer than others) and you’ll be fine. It’s a relatively attractive addition to our deck, and I love the size

The firepit is very nice however the assembly instuctions are useless. Hampton Bay should be ashamed of themselves for the lack of instruction. I am a very handy guy and this thing took me three hours to build. How difficult would it be to have good step by step instructions??? Instalation took a lot of guessing, trial and error, and YouTubing.

Easy to assemble and beautiful!

The finished product is cool - bigger than you expect - and works well. I'm not giving it a 5 star rating because it was kind of difficult to put together, even though I'm good at those kind of things. It's not so much that you can't follow the pictures in the instructions (there's no text), but some of the pieces are tough to fit together, especially at the end when you are trying to put in the pieces that form the door that swings up and down. We almost gave up and returned the thing until we started undoing/loosening previously put in screws until we finally figured out a combination that allowed the swinging door to be connected, and then went back and tightened the pieces we had undone. So - be prepared for some possible frustration. But - again - we really like the finished product - it looks really neat when the fire is going. I would suggest ordering a round grill cover to protect it when not in use so the ash bed doesn't fill with water and get clogged if you don't empty it after each use.

the instructions were very non helpful when assembling this monster of a fire globe. but after getting it put together.. the first time use, I love it!

It's WAY bigger than I expected--photos (including mine) don't do it justice. I suppose I should have looked at the specs more carefully, but I also don't remember seeing that in reviews. If you're planning on using as a portable fire pit (we bring it to the beach), I would look elsewhere as one person lifting it will definitely have it rubbing against you're clothing (although it is light). The quality is OK. Sturdy enough, but not amazing by an means. The design is a little funky with the lid getting caught sometimes. Ours started showing a little surface rust after one night outside, but nothing concerning.Assembly was a little tedious, but not as bad as many reviewer's make it out to be--just look real closely at the instructions for the size of the screws (four are shorter than the other ~20 and they don't call that out too clearly).

Purchase this item on 5/30/20 and I noticed on 6/7/20 that its 50% rusted. Just after 2 weeks. It's my first fire pit I ever purchased. I never put a cover on it when I wasnt using it. I dont know if I was supposed to. But 2 weeks and rust. Never again !!!@

The first time using this was a really great experience. I have three young boys and with the lid opening half way I feel better having them around the fire. We made s’mores and it worked great. After putting it together it was bigger than I had imagined which was a great surprise.

Took about an hr and a half to assemble. Bigger size wise than I expected which is nice. Looks good and decent price at $150. I would recommend.

This is a beautiful and unique fire pit we love it whenever friends come over and see it for the first time they all want to know where we got it how much it cost and if they mind if they copy us LOL Reasonably priced as compared to other fire pits but so much prettier aesthetically

This fire pit is totally worth it! However, Know going into this that it will be a little challenging to put together as the directions are pretty poorly explained. I had to do some interchanging with screws to get them to work in some areas, as I found the place that called for some of the shorter screws really benefit better from using the larger ones. Everything is still turned out completely fine. Once you figure out where all the pieces go (i’d highly recommend using YouTube for some videos that people have made assembling this fire pit) and that you’re going to spend a good 2 to 3 hours assembling this globe, it all works fine. The end result is stunning. We just used it for the first time tonight, so I can’t testify to how well it stands up over time.

Definitely worth it. Not difficult to put together at all, and good quality. My favorite part is the lid rotates upward and remains attached, so convenient! Fits nice on our patio and id recommend ot for sure.
