This hampton bay 52 in devron ll indoor ceiling fan comes with the quickfit installation which takes about 1/4 less to install.it has 2 sided blades and can blow over 3400 cubic feet per minute of air.i does come with four led bulbs and can be installed very close to the ceiling or you can place a 24 inch down rod.it took about 20 minutes to install this fan.it is very well designed and engineered to make it a breeze for any diy to tackel this jod.

This is a perfect fan for one of my rooms that doesn't have a center light fixture but needs a fan to cool the room. Its an old style room where the light switch controls an outlet. So I am getting an electrician to install a ceiling fan box and I will install this fan my self. I find the fan is well made and decent weight to it. So I am prefitting the parts so that I would have it ready. Make sure you have a magnetic tip philips screwdriver since you will be installing some screws while on top of a ladder looking up. See my pic as how you need to disassemble the canopy and bracket that is shipped together so that you can correctly reassemble with the ball/down rod and have the wires pulled thru it. Also there are several other things to make sure to do, there are rubber stops that needs to be removed so that you can install the fan blade bracket. Also there is an access hole that you will need to use in order to tighten the two screws for the fan blade bracket. See pics. Plus when you install the lighting bracket, the power connection are easy to connect, so I like that feature, no need for wire nuts. Plus once you make those power connections, make sure you notice the cut outs on the lip of the fixture that has to match up inorder for you to be able to screw in the screws to hold the fixture in place. Note, that it also not using the small machine screws which are a real pain to deal with while up on a ladder looking up. The machine screws that they use on this ceiling fan fixture are bigger which I like. Also the fan comes already with the LED light bulbs which is nice and they are the typical light bulb screw base. The light bulb sockets are also porcelain which is good to dissipate any heat coming off the bulbs. Overall a nice five blade ceiling fan.

What a huge upgrade! My wife hated the old dome style light/fan we had because of lack of light output, she felt like the room was always dark, so this new one with 4 lights seemed like it would fix that problem. Let me tell you, it sure does. The four bulb housing outputs so much light it's insane. Four LED bulbs are included with this kit, and they are extremely bright. They will light up your room without any issue. I will probably end up placing the lights on a dimmer switch as one of the lights points directly at our bed, making it uncomfortable. If you do decide to place the lights on a dimmer, just note that the included bulbs are non-dimmable and will need to be replaced if you put the light on a dimmer. Overall Installation was straight forward with everything lining up without issue. Installing the fan blades was interesting as you must work through a small hole in the light housing. Not impossible, but this is the first time I've encountered this style of blade mounting which made installation a little awkward. The result is a clean installation with no mounting hardware visible. Connecting the blades to their arms was super quick and easy with the quick connect system. (To this day I can't find a system that I love more than Hampton Bay quick connect). Blades come in two colors; you just need to flip them to your desired shade. Plenty of wire is provided on the unit in case you want to use a longer down rod. Since I was using the standard included down rod, I cut off the extra wire without any issues. Instructions are clear and found them novice/user friendly. Just be cautious when installing the fan, as I found the metal edges to be rather sharp, especially those of the light housing. The result is beautiful fan with no exposed screw heads. It's simple and elegant which will tie in nicely with any room. Fan moves a bunch of air (3,422 cfm) so it's been nice for these warm summer days. Works flawlessly with my fan speed controller. Tools used for the entire installation: Phillips #2, wire cutters and a low-profile Phillips screwdriver.

Just installed the Hampton Bay Devron II 52 in. LED indoor brushed nickel LED ceiling fan with light kit and like how it works and looks. The fan has a bright brushed nickel finish on all the metal surfaces and the blades have two color choices with a nice wood grain finish to them, light shades have a white frosted look to them that give a nice glow when the lights are on. Installation was straight forward and easy for a ceiling fan and the slide on and lock in place fan blades are a real time saver. Once up the fan works great and moves plenty of air as we have it set to the lowest speed for now, the four LED bulbs (included) give lots of light, actually way too much for us as we dim the lights to about half way (we might get some clear Edison bulbs to add a classic look). Overall a nice fan that looks good and works great.

I had a really difficult time installing this fan. The directions were pretty straight forward. However the metal was bent which pushed the fan motor into its housing. This caused the actual motor drag along the fan blades and not turn properly. I literally had to take apart the entire fan to figure out all i had to do was pop the aluminum housing back out so that everything could seat properly. Imagine installing something twice, even three times and its rubbing and dragging and leaning. I finally got everything working properly but this was poor quality control.

The Hampton Bay 52 in. Devron II ceiling fan installs quickly and even includes 4 LED bulbs. I have installed several Hampton Bay ceiling fans and I have found they always provide a good product at a great price. The fan is quiet and wobble free. The four 9-watt LED bulbs provide lots of light. I really like how quickly the fan blades install. It is simple but it holds the blades securely in place. So much better than having to install screws in each blade. They are also easy to remove if you ever what to switch the reversible fan blades. Everything was nicely packed.

I have to say I have own and installed at least 20 Hampton Bay fans over years in many houses. First they seem to last forever, I’ve never had to replace one because it broke on me. Second they are pretty easy to install, just a little patience and read the instructions, I still take a good look at them myself. This fan from opening the box and removing the old fan to lights on and fan running took about an hour and a half. A big chunk of that was because whoever installed the last one really messed up.

The 52 inch unit is easy to install. Maybe you are replacing a old fan or a new install. Love the way the blades connect to the arms. Just line up with the mounts and pull. It locks in place. If you ever want to swap the blades to use the other side ( color ), Just un clip and pull. The light kit comes with the LED bulbs. The frosted globes are very elegant with the brushed Nickel finish and brown blades. When installing the arms to the motor, Do this before attaching the blades. The screws can be reached by a slot that you will have to keep moving to each of the 8 screws.

I started with a flush mount. Had the fan body wired but couldn’t get two canopy screws to go all the way in. Nothing appeared to block the screw from tightening flush, it just stopped. I tried soap, it just wouldn’t go any further and after several failed attempts, I disconnected the wiring, took the fan down, and opted for the down rod install. I had to start over because different parts were needed and other parts not used for down rod. Thankfully I left just enough wire because I cut them down for the flush mount but got away with it. I omitted the 2 screws from the canopy so I can get the trim piece on. I felt the Dow rod is supported by the bracket now, so the screws aren’t as critical now as they would have been with the flush mount, which is what supports the weight of the fan. I don’t understand why the screws wouldn’t tighten all the way, I even tried it with the fan completely disconnected. The threads seemed fine, but the head of the screws were starting to strip, which is when I decided to go with the down rod. I had enough aggravation. Then I saw a tag that said remove the rubber screws before installing. It was not in the directions, and by now the fan was finally wired and up. To put the blade stems on, you had to use one single access hole to fit the screwdriver in. This should have been assembled on a table, before mounting to ceiling, it was a real pain. The box said the installation for this fan is 25% quicker to install than most conventional fans. What a crock. I installed ceiling fans my whole life, none took as long as this or gave me the trouble this one did. The one thing that was outstanding was attaching the fan blades to the bracket. That took less than a minute to get all 5 blades on. That said, this fan is super quiet, and one of the brightest out there. It looks great too, I just don’t understand the issue with the canopy screws. I would still recommend because it performs well.

It took me a while to find a replacement hampton bay fan with the same fan mount. The Devron had the same mount as the fan i was replacing(which was about 15 years old). Having the same mount makes replacing so much easier. The color is not white, its an off white(grey tones), but it still blends with the ceiling.

These fans are awesome! We have dark, hardwood floors in our house with lots of white and black accents throughout so this fan went absolutely perfect. The black base, along with the dark brown blades (or lighter is an option, as well), along with the pure white light shades is stunning. These have a very modern look, but could also work in a rustic inspired home. I also love the look of the bronze colored chains with the rectangle shaped pulls on the end. I'm a big fan of straight lines in my design and these work great! I cannot speak to the ease of installation but I can say the blades snap in and the overall process went rather quickly.

This is the second HB Devron I purchased. The fan looks great and very straight forward installation, just take you time. Best is they have a fan model specified YouTube video on the installation. Both bronze and polished nickel look great.

We bought and installed yesterday to replace an eighteen year old hunter. It looks nice bout that is about it. The second we turn on the switch there is a slow hum, this is even before the blades rotate. I took the fan down today, checked the screws, connections then reinstalled. Same issue...humming. Even at slow speed. Dont believe it's out of balance, the chains aren't moving at all. Time to stick with hunter.

Nice looking fan, easy to install. Is well built unlike some others. I do have a small issue and you should know that this remote control is a direct connect remote. Meaning, you have to use the remote control, the pull chains and wall switch wont work correctly. If the remote control dies, the fan wont work until you get a new remote. Other than that, its a great product.

Great fan! Easy to install, includes extra long electrical cables so you can easily wire. The speeds are just right also, sot blowing you away, but still enough power to feel the breeze.

With help of YouTube, it was easy to install with step-by-step instructions. This was my first ceiling fan to install. It looks nice and definitely help the air circulation in my living room/dining room combo which is about 30' x 15'. I plan to purchase three more for the bedrooms.

This fan took me about 1.5hrs to replace an existing fan. The instructions were straightforward and easy to follow, just dont rush through it so you do it right. After completing the job, happy with the way it looks. Works great!

Easy to install

It's a really pretty ceiling fan, but that's about it. I bought it for my room, I expected it to be cooler, even at fast speed it looks like it's on medium, I've had better ceiling fans than this. Didn't want to go through the whole taking it down boxing it up and returning. They know most consumers dont want to work double. I'm not satisfied.

Bright and powerful. Like many ceiling fans, plan on a few hours to install. About 2 hours for us. Getting wires and remote receiver tucked inside to put on housing was a bit tedious. We flush mounted.

These were even more beautiful hanging on my ceiling then on the box. I bought 4. I was so pleased to see ithem working and I am very happy with them and would recommend them. Theyre very silent, you don’t even know theyre working except for feeling the breeze. I also purchased remotes to add from Home Depot and coupled that with these fans and I’m just delighted.

I decided on this fan because it was not LED. This can has 4 lights that give much more light than any LED lighted ceiling fan. It installed fairly easily with little assistance from a second person. Looks great in my kitchen dining area. I will buy another one for my living room to match it. I did change the glass covers to match lights in my living area.

The biggest issue I have with this fan is the noise of the motor. Hence, why I would not recommend it unless things like that doesn't bother you. I installed in my bedroom and I know the motor's whine will keep me awake at night until I get used to it. It's not a loud pitch whine but its noticeable. My husband installed and said everything was rather easy except the attachment of the fan blades. While it wasn't difficult it was just awkward compared to other fans. Other than that, its a beautiful fan and very bright lights, which I love.
