Hampton bay Esdale is pretty light, but the globe is very lightweight and thin so i returned for the luray. I am attaching pictures to help other customers out so they dont have to order both to compare like i did. Also, the copper accents you dont really see after the light is installed because the globe blocks it so its just a pretty almost black color that i love!

I bought several types of ceiling lights for my kitchen and we finally found this light that works perfectly for our needs. It puts out a good amount of light, looks great, was easy to install, and also happened to be the cheapest of all the others we bought!

The lamps looks good where I installed them,beautiful lamps for few dollars.

Gorgeous farmhouse look with good light output. Ease of changing out the cover to change the bulb.

Easy to install, looks great, didn't have any problems with glass globe mount as others have reported, just had to make sure to turn it the recommended 1/4 turn. Very happy with this purchase.

We have an old craftsman home and these lights really fit the style. We put the larger one in a hallway and the smaller one over the kitchen sink. My Husband was able to put this up in an afternoon with only one trip to OSH.

This is a simple and classic schoolhouse light. We used them in our walk-in pantries and over our kitchen sink. Adds a timeless touch to our kitchen. The globe attaches a little akwardly, but we fidgeted with it a little and you kinda feel it when it fits best, and then tighten the screws. Love it.

The globe is difficult to install

Worst light fixture ever! Do NOT buy this light fixture. It was installed per the directions and hung in my hall for less than a month. Tonight the globe came off the fixture and smashed to the ground. Instead of having screws to hold the globe it place it screwed into the canopy. Very poor design

I bought this to replace the previous one, which broke. The glass orb popped out of the base. I saw other reviews that indicated the orb did not feel secure, and I would agree. However, we have one at the bottom of the stairs and at the top, and they really look nice in the two halls in our two hundred year old home. Thus, I decided to replace it with the same, and I'm glad that I did. They changed the base, and the diameter of the opening in the glass orb is smaller, such that a standard bulb just fits through it. With a small twist, the glass orb seems to have a much more secure/snug fit to the base. What you see, is what you get, and what you get is a beautiful, well-made, semi-flush mount ceiling light.

These lights are cheaply made and my husband broke globe trying to get it screwed into place. I don't know yet if I will try to order a replacement or just give up and buy another fixture somewhere else. Very disappointing and frustrating.

the light fixture looks great but I would NOT recommend it. if the globe breaks you CAN NOT get a replacement globe, standard ones in store do not work as these are "threaded" to fit ONLY this particular mount, very poor service from Hampton Bay. Have a long hall/foyer that requires 3 fixtures. Makes no sense to purchase a fixture if you have to replace whole thing should the globe crack/break. I now have to replace ALL 3 fixtures in order to have a uniformed look. Really upset/angry. would have given 0 stars but don't have this option.

Love it!! We have purchased this light multiple times for our projects. We were very disapointed to see that our local store no longer has them in stock. We don't always have time to wait for an online order. Please put them backn on the shelves & we'll keep buying them!

Great hallway light. Easy to assemble. The glass shade is perfect for a farmhouse look. Looks awesome!

Light fixture is perfect, it looks like an antique.

Well, we have had this light for a couple of years now. Taking the glass globe on and off has proven very tricky and it doesn't fit on securely. Just took it down to wash it and when I screwed it back into the fixture, the globe broke. Needs to have the type of attachment that larger lights have where the globe is held in place by screws through the side of the fixture. I hope the manufacturers can fix this because it is a lovely light otherwise.

Very pretty to look at... for six months, until the bulb went out. IMPOSSIBLE to unscrew the mount and change the light without breaking the glass shade. Had three matching fixtures... Not any more. Such a poor design, waste of time and money.

This light was very hard and annoying to install. The globe was also difficult to put on. A few minutes after the light was installed it fell from the fixture and smashed on the floor. Not impressed!

I would like to start by saying that I don't like to give or read negative reviews. But I think that this warranted a negative review to prevent this from happening to someone else. This light fixture is very cute, but that is about it. We put two in my walk-in closet, and I loved the look. The glass broke on one while my husband was adjusting the globe after putting a bulb in. We contacted the company and were able to get a replacement glass globe. I don't remember what it cost us to get a replacement, but it didn't matter, because after being installed this glass shattered out of nowhere when we were not even near it. Not wanting to go through the hassle of trying to get a replacement again, we just bought a whole new light fixture and used that globe. Fast forward a year and a half, and one of the bulbs burnt out in my closet. Both glass globes did manage to finally stay intact, but now we absolutely cannot get this one off in order to change the bulb! It is inevitable that this glass is going to break again if we force it off. These globes screw off, but if you look at how they are designed, there is really no way to even tell that they screw on/off. We are going to avoid having to deal with these lights any longer, and I am at this very moment ordering two completely different light fixtures to replace these. Such a disappointment.
