Please make sure that all parts are completely tightened and that the outlet box is securely attached to the house support structure. We have reached out to the manufacturer and their reply is,Sorry to hear that you are no satisfied with the fan. The blades on ceiling fans differ in size and shape depending on the design of the fan. We would suggest an open ended ceiling fan brush like model #48212.

remote dows not work
Our fan just stopped working. Changed the batteries in the remote but fan still doesnt work. Never had any issues until now. What do we do to fix. Ours has no lights nor a wall switch only remote. Auggestions on what to do to fix

I bought the fan because it came with a remote....
I bought the fan because it came with a remote. The description failed to mention it was a universal remote. The remote is not compatible with the fan. Its really frustrating when you put a fan together and it does not work. You check all the components and everything looks great. I called the 1-800 number and after being on the phone for an hour, it was determined that the remote was defective. I hard wired the fan directly and bypassed the remote. The remote was exchanged - and low and behold, the new remote does not work either. I am really disappointed because I wanted a fan with a remote. I am left with a fan that I can't change the speed of.

The first line of the description states ""This item pairs the Heirloom fan with the Universal 3-Speed Ceiling Fan remote control …"" The most important part of the installation is making sure the fan is set to high speed using the pull chain prior to using the remote. If the fan is not set on high (1 pull) prior to using the remote, the remote will not be able to control the fan speed. If the problem persists, please call Hampton Bay customer service at 1-855-434-2678 and ask to speak to a manufacturer's representative."

I was so disappointed in this fan. It's not white...
I was so disappointed in this fan. It's not white and the blades are a different color than the rest. Also, it came with a separate black remote, not one with the fan itself. I don't know if I can paint it but wish I had seen it before it was installed. It works well though.

This fan is bundled with the Hampton Bay universal remote as shown on the product page for model #19981. The blades are reversible with a white finish on one side and light maple on the other. It is possible that your fan was installed with the maple side showing instead of the white side."
