Good looking fan. Moves ample amount of air. Easy to install. Is well balanced and does not make noise. Paired with smart fan light switch to control fan speed and light. Works great so far.

Overall it is a good fan for the money. The light cover is plastic not glass which could be good or bad depending on your preferences. It was extremely difficult to get the light kit attached to the fan once it was hung up. There are 3 little screws that are basically impossible to get in when you are trying to do that with the fan up. I ended up having to take the fan back down and place it on the floor to get the light attached.

This is a beautiful fan! It's not easy, easy (as advertised) to install, especially with the light kit, but this fan is worth it. The fan comes with everything needed for a complete install, including the electrical nuts, the hanging apparatus, etc. The look is simple, classic and handsome. The fan and the led lights work perfectly. We highly recommend this fan!

Easy to assemble, quiet running, great price!

Not too difficult to install as fans go. Gives sufficient breeze for master bedroom - some modern fans are too slow. Decent illumination, too, unlike some of the fans that have the LEDs built into them rather than having replaceable LED bulbs. You can replace the bulbs with this one, which is a plus, and with three bulbs it is not dim like some of the modern looking fans with the tiny LED circles for lights.

it was a piece of cake to put up, saying it was replacing a current ceiling fan. Very quiet works great would definitely recommend it.

This fan replaced another Hampton Bay fan, 20+ years old, and is quite nice looking. For me, the dark brown blades and simple/smooth brushed nickel were exactly what I was looking for. Since it was replacing an existing fan, I photo'd the old wiring which made a 2 switch install all the easier. (the documentation doesn't cover 2 switch setups as other posters have stated). Quick blade installs are a great feature. No wobble, I mostly run it on low and when sleeping with the slight hum of the motor, it's a great white noise to sleep with. Globe is real glass, not plastic. As for the hum, on a scale of 1 to 10, previous fan was quieter about a 2, this one is about a 3, but very acceptable. Old fan had ventilation holes on top and bottom, this one only has holes on the top. Maybe the extra holes dissipated the hum, speculation on my part. No holes on bottom of fan makes it more appealing to look at. Overall, for the price, this is a great fan, so far. If it lasts 20+ years like the previous one, I'll be very happy.

The person installing seem to do it very easily & quickly. I love the look of this fan and works very efficient. Keeps room cool.

I liked the fan features and the light fixture, but during installation I noticed the fan ball/socket where the down-rod fits into the top support bracket was not rotating freely. This ball and socket connection is supposed to friction-less in order for the fan to hang vertically. I triple-checked the install and determined the problem was with the design, or else there was some part missing on the support bracket that allowed the metal edge of the support bracket to dig into the plastic ball and keep the fan from hanging freely. I returned it to Home Depot for a refund. Not sure if I want to risk buying another Hampton Bay product as it is an investment of time to select, buy, transport and install, and then find a flaw and do it all over again!

Difficult to install - screws were too tight to even loosen, and could be easily stripped. Cheaply made. Would not recommend.

Great ceiling fan. I have one in all my bedrooms.
