Easy to install and provides excellent movement of air with little noise on the low and medium speeds for sleeping. High speed is pretty darn strong and not too noise for daytime. Looks great. Great price and I am glad I got 2.

Thank you for your review. Please note that the light shades appearance may be affected by the color temperature of the bulbs. For a more true white appearance, we would suggest replacing the included bulbs with 5000K (daylight) temperature bulbs.

Love this fan. I’ve purchased 4 of these for my home. Unfortunately, the motor burned up in one so I had to get another. I chose to buy a replacement as opposed to using the lifetime warranty because the cost of the warranty process was almost the same as an alll new fan.

3 of 5 white fans recently ordered were BAD
Do not buy! I ordered 3 white fans to replace the fans in my bedrooms. My dad (an electrician, btw) installed the first two and they were fine, but the third one’s motor was dead on arrival. So I ordered a replacement and he finally visited again from TN earlier this month to install it, and the motor worked but it made an awful grinding noise on high speed. So, I ordered a replacement, and we just tried that one yesterday and that motor made loud grinding noises on all speeds. Unbelievable!

I purchased and installed 2 of these. Then I turned them on. There was more motor noise coming from these than the ceiling fans from the '80s that they replaced! I have 2 other Hampton Bay Ceiling fans from a few years back that are totally silent, so I figured these would be the same.....NOPE! I removed and returned them an replaced them with 2 store brand fans from the blue competitor that were totally silent. What a waste of an entire Sunday afternoon!

We are sorry to hear that you had this issue. In general, if there are any issues with the fan, we suggest calling Hampton Bay customer service at 1-855-HD-HAMPTON (1-855-434-2678). Most noise issues can be attributed to loose or incorrectly installed parts which can create noises. In most cases, issues can be resolved over the phone with some minor troubleshooting to save you from having to uninstall and return the items.

This is a beautiful and quiet fan. I purchased two of them to replace older fans. The fact they are ceiling huggers was a plus. They bring the areas they are located into the modern era. Recommend.
