This fan is quiet even on high speed, and pushes a lot of air for its size. Beautiful fan blade colors on either side that you can pick from. Lights are very bright and the pull strings are perfect length. Very happy with this fan!

Cant believe someone expects you to feed wires back into junction box through this hole. Very difficult to do. The Channing is so much easier to do. Cant recommend the Malone for the DIYer.

I have 3 of these fans living in an apartment needed light kit for the poorly lit rooms. Moved to a house where we did not want a light kit. After much digging looking for a cap. Found that the Rockport cap fit perfectly fan looks great. A note of installation the blades are a little difficult to install. Second time around I installed the fan brackets before hanging the fan then the blades after hanging much easier also let me instal the cap as well. I cut the blue wire short to have one les wire in the canopy.

Beautiful fan, works good. But for the amount of power it claims to have, I feel it came up short. Claimed to have twice the power of another one I looked at. The power was average at best. But quiet. Aesthetically pleasing. Just wish it were stronger! Works great with smart bulbs too.

Love the look of this fan, but it is very noisy. We are on night two and seriously thinking we are going to take it down and return it. It wobbles, which is tolerable, but the noise is terrible. I don’t think we can handle a third night. I thought maybe something was just wrong with this one until I read these reviews. Save yourself some trouble and spend a little more money.

Pretty easy to install, and looks great. I put it in my bedroom and it is very quiet.

We are really happy with the fan. The cheap led light bulbs that came with it are horrible. When the light is dimmed, the bulbs flicker. Replaced the bulbs with "no flicker" Edison bulbs and it works great.

This fan was installed in a hard position, about 13 foot up and on a sloped ceiling. This is my second one of these fans and I picked it for this operation for several reasons. Strong easy to install ball bracket, plenty of wire, easy to install fan blades and light fixture. To say nothing about how good looking this fan is! If you are looking to install a fan, even if this is your first one, it is a good fan to work with!

Bought 2. Easy install, took about 1 hr total. Looks great on ceiling. There was a sale price online and I went to the store and the tag was $10 cheaper. When I went to check out, the price was even $10 cheaper because it was on clearance at the store.Definitely will check the store before buying online for other items in the future. Also, make sure you wire blue with the blacks.

I like the ceiling fan with four blades which makes it looks simple. Also the four led bulbs with E26 bulb base are very common and pretty bright. I will highly recommend this product.

Yes I would definitely recommend this fan. It was the perfect color and size for my living room. It was a fast and easy installation. Only issue I had was not waiting for BlackFriday, it was almost 75% off. Oh well maybe Home Depot can send me a credit.

Right out the box everything was well organized and ready to assemble. The instructions and instructional video were both on point throughout the entire installation process. I installed this fan in my Bedroom which is 8ft x 11ft with an 8ft ceiling in under an hour. Appearance : I chose the Dark Oil-Rubbed Bronze which contrasts great with my lightly colored walls/ceiling and it looks great. Quality: Built very well and sturdy, circulates a lot of air in my room(on high setting) to where i don't have to run my window unit all the time. Mid and Low setting also perform well for a mild to light breeze. Value: For just around $100 this fan is an absolute steal and i would recommend it to anyone flipping houses or just someone needing a new fan in their house. Ease of Installation: Easier than i thought PROS: Pushes a-lot of air in my 8x11ft bedroom, looks beautiful, great lighting, easy install. CONS: Choppy air noise a bit but it helps me sleep, some people may not like that.

Dia downrods for installation on high or angled ceilings.

The MALONE 54 IN. LED BRUSHED NICKEL CEILING FAN WITH LIGHT KIT is a definite upgrade in style and function to our older, contractor pack ceiling fans. This product comes with 4, soft white LED bulbs but we prefer the daylight bulbs (5000K) so this wasn't an added benefit to use but could be for you. We elected to install this fan with a Hampton Bay wireless remote kit as the wall switch was a single pole and are not able to control the light and fan independently from the wall switch. To use the remote function, set the pull chain on the fan to High and the Light pull chain to on. This will allow the remote to control all functions of the fan (except reversing the blade direction). Installation was simple; however, the downrod assembly with all its covers was a bit of a trick to figure out at first. I was able to remove the old fan and install this new one in about 40 minutes. The glass globes attach to the fan by screwing down a plastic nut. Time will tell if this plastic nut will hold up but visually it is better than seeing those annoying 3 set screws which used to be the norm for holding the globes. Overall, we are happy with this product: It provided great light and the fan allows for adequate air movement in the room.

While I have four other ceiling fans in my home, this new ceiling fan from Hampton Bay has greatly impressed me with its ease of installation, design, appearance/style, and performance. The hardest part of the installation was running power to the ceiling as the bedrooms in my home all were wired with the light switch providing power to the top half of a power receptacle on the opposite wall (for desk lamps). So, I first replaced the receptacle with a new, unsplit receptacle and hardwired the source power from the wall switch to that receptacle. Next, I ran power from the light switch up into the ceiling. Fortunately I could access the ceiling from the attic. I installed a Remodel Construction Ceiling Fan Brace (purchased from Home Depot, Model CMB150-OB) to hold the fan/light kit. Once this was done, the easy part was the installation of the fan itself. Hampton Bay supplies a fantastic step-by-step instructional video for this specific fan, so installation was a breeze. I have installed six ceiling fans over the years and I can say this was probably the easiest one to install. This has to do with the well thought out design as well as the fantastic instructions/video. I watched the video and then scanned through the printed instructions that accompanied the fan. From what I could tell, the printed instructions are quite accurate. When I went to install the fan, I simply followed each step in the video instructions, pausing the video while I completed each step. The video instructions are flawless. If you have never installed a ceiling fan you will be quite pleased with these instructions. The fan/light kit is packaged exceptionally well, using heavy Styrofoam which provides protection against scratching or breakage during shipment. If you examine the packaging itself you can't help but to be impressed by the design of the packaging materials themselves. You can tell that a lot of careful thought went into the entire product. The fan itself can be installed on a level ceiling or a ceiling that is sloped. This is accommodated by the smart fan design which employs a ball/downrod assembly that keeps the fan level regardless of the slope of the ceiling. This accounts for and corrects imperfect ceiling mounting brackets as well, or if your ceiling itself is not perfectly level. The fan features a slide on bracket which you screw to the mounting bracket in your ceiling. This bracket is used to attach the fan itself to your ceiling fixture. One note, it is assumed that your electrical box has the two screws needed to which you attach the ceiling fan bracket. The brace I used (and mentioned above) includes two very short screws which were not really long enough so I had to replace them with longer ones. Note the kit comes with a 6" downnrod which is appropriate for level ceilings. If you are installing this fan on a sloped ceiling you should get the 36" downrod (sold separately). The fan's light and fan may be operated independently from one another. The light is on/off and the 4 supplied LED light bulbs are pretty bright and will provide a great deal of light for a large room. The light bulbs are each 9 Watts which are 60W equivalents. The fan has three different speeds and is reversible so you can change the airflow during winter and summer months to either push air down during summer or pull warm air off the ceiling during winter. The fan design is such that screws are hidden from view and canopy hides all the other connections and wires, making for a stylish, attractive fan/light kit with a nice brushed nickel finish (see photos). This being a 56" wide fan assembly, the proper room size for this fan ranges from 12'x12' to 18'x18'. The fan blades themselves are reversible, providing you with two colors (gray wood or a black wood finish). Each blade attaches to the motor assembly via 3 screws with a tab feature that helps to ensure the screws are lined up properly and to help prevent wobble. Note that since the fan includes two power source lines (black and blue wires), I assume you can run 4 wire power cable to the fan and control the light and fan separately from two wall switches versus a single one (where you connect the black and blue wires together and connect to a single source/black house wire). I did not try this nor does the instructions mention this type of installation. As with any electrical fixture, if you are unsure of what you are doing, hire a certified electrician.

The 54 inch Malone is a very stylish fan with nice clean lines, a nice replacement for a 20 year old fan in our house. The brushed nickel look really is an update from the gold one we replaced. I have installed at least 20 fans over the past 25 years and this was one of the easier ones I have done. It has two improvements that helps minimalize the amount of time you spend with your arms above your head lifting up the motor, a very nice thing, thanks! I did watch the video and looked through the instruction manual, both well done, except my fan had four wires coming from the house and the instructions only talk about 3 wire systems. Called into customer support late afternoon on a Friday and got no response, so I confirmed what I expected on the internet and was an easy fix. These are good fans and would recommend this companies fans to anyone.

We renovating an old home. Home Depot was chosen as our resource. The fan was installed a Home Depot pro, unfortunately the fan was defective. The pro returned the fan and Home Depot and the pro solved the problem that day. The pro was truly amazing and will do all our electric work forever. The pro is a real asset and a keeper.

Rarely am I truly impressed with a product. This one had clear instructions, very easy to install. My favorite was how quiet this fan is and how bright the lights are. We ended up changing out the lights with dimmable bulbs with a dimmer switch. Bought two more.
