We needed a new swing to replace one at least 10 years old. This one fits the bill! Ours is sheltered under a covered porch, so we expect this one to last for years. Seating is always important and the cushions on this unit are comfortable. Get some help when you assemble this and assemble close to the area you are going to place it. It took 2 persons about 2 hours to finish assembly. Note: read the warning label on the packing box before assembly.

Took me an hour and 45 minutes to assemble without anyone’s help. Looks good. Worth the price.

I’m really torn with this review. This is a nice swing and we enjoy being on it. That said, I am not happy with the manufacturing that went into it. It took me about 6 hours to assemble this. The reason I am not happy with the manufacturing and why it took me so long is that there were a couple of screw holes that were slightly off. I had to re-drill them to get them to line up. Another problem I ran into was the machining of one of the threads that a bolt had to go into. I couldn’t get the bolt in more than 3 full turns. This bolt holds the seat and needed to be fully inserted (maybe 1.5” long). After trying a couple of times to screw it in, I realized the threads on the receiver part were damaged or not completely machined when it was manufactured. I ended up purchasing a tap and dye set to rethread this hole. Also, another of the main pieces on the seat would not line up and I realized that there was weld slag keeping the holes from lining up. I had to grind this slag flat to get the holes lined up. Honestly, I believe that the average person would have given up and called customer service or just returned it. However, I was determined to put it together on my own, if I could, and with the right tools I was able to. The bolts are all hex head and seem to be fairly soft metal. Extra care must be taken so as not to strip the hex part out. I stripped two but luckily, they send extra bolts. The swing itself easily holds three people and it’s comfortable to sit on. So, if it had gone together with no issues, I would have given it 4-5 stars. However, I have put a lot of patio items together in my life and this is by far the worst manufacturing I have seen. Because of that, I cannot give this a good rating. Made in China.

Once assembly was completed, we were really able to enjoy this swing. It is comfortable and it's canopy provides an adequate amount of shade. The assembly instructions could have been a bit clearer; the instructions rely a lot on very small drawings of part pieces that are very hard to distinguish from one another. This caused a few "oops" do-overs during assembly, for instance, the front and back legs are hard to tell apart, aside from some extra holes being drilled into the rear legs (not shown in the illustrated instruction drawings). Give yourself plenty of time to assemble, and have a helper handy because at times it will take two people due to the size of the swing. I recommend really familiarizing yourself with the parts and visually assembling prior to actually starting.

Let me start off with saying that this swing is very comfortable to sit in and the swinging motion is smooth.  The canopy does a good job of keeping you shaded, provided that the sun is at the appropriate angle.    Everything looks pretty good even after a few weeks of sporadic rain and intense Florida sun.  Time will tell how it'll hold up. Overall construction is pretty sturdy, however, assembly was a pain.  None of the pieces are labeled and there's 3 sets of smaller bars that are similar in length.  Assembly took about 1.5 hours as I was working by myself and I had to swap around the small bars twice.  Would have been much quicker with some help. Apart from the above, there's some other quirks. One of the front legs looks like it's for the wrong side as the bolt holes are not recessed and the plastic foot at the bottom is slightly lifted up.  The canopy is nice and keeps you shaded, the corners tend to ride up over time since there's no Velcro or pockets to keep them in place.  Doesn't seem like it was well thought out. Overall, it's not bad.  Mine may have some factory defects, so I guess the ill fitting canopy and unlabeled parts are the only "real" issues.

This Hampton Bay 3-person patio swing is picture perfect. It's too early in the season for placing this outdoors, so we assembled it in the garage. . . Rated a 4 only because putting it together was a nightmare! One pop rivet was missing from the joint where the slant of the canopy is set. My husband replaced it. The parts list is numbered and lettered, but the parts are not marked. This meant a bit of trial and error, including a few redos. The cross bar on the legs attached best with one end inside the frame, the other end outside the frame. Also since the parts have locking nuts, you must use an impact drill to apply enough pressure to tighten the nuts. Some of the openings had to be reamed out for the bolts to fit. Sure glad my hubby got involved ... this one I could not have done. Glad to have sawhorses for assembling the actual swing, too. Now awaiting spring!

Super nice swing that is a bit too big for my small porch. Had to move into the yard for enough room to enjoy the swinging motion. Seat height is just right where you don’t feel like you’re sitting down to enjoy the swing. It is February in Colorado so we enjoyed it for couple warm days but noe will cover it up for pending snow this week. Will really appreciate it in a couple months.

Love This Sling Patio Swing. This Steel 3-Person Outdoor Patio Padded Sling Patio Swing with Canopy is easy to assemble. Working alone it took about an hour, but would have been quicker with a helper. Everything is included in the box, including tools, extra nuts, bolts, washers, and screws, in case you misplace one. Instructions are clear with step-by-step illustrations. The finished product is a great looking addition to my back yard. The Riverbrook Espresso Brown color is perfect for the tree line backdrop of my yard. The Tilt adjustable Canopy works in sun or rain. Our first use took place during a light rain. The canopy and weather resistant feature works as advertised. Water just beaded and rolled right off. The rust and weather-resistant aluminum frame should last for many years. This swing is UV-resistance and helps keep the sling fabric from fading so the colors stay vivid. This stylish patio swing seats three people and has padded fabric for extra comfort. I'm really enjoying this 3-Person Outdoor Patio Swing with family.

I have been wanting one of these for years and never did purchase one but I finally pulled the trigger and got one and I am really looking forward to the weather warming up to be able to use this quality made patio padded sling swing. First of all it is a quality made swing that should last a few years and it comes with a canopy to shade yourself from the sun. Do yourself a favor and go on down to the Home Depot and pick one up for yourself. This came delivered to me by a freight company and they brought it around back and helped me to get it on the deck which was a blessing.

Hampton Bay Patio Swing I’m impressed, this swing was very easy to put together. Directions made sense and all the parts were available. I only made one mistake, started assembling in my carport area then realized that I couldn’t get it thru the gate to back yard, oops! Thank goodness I only had the legs & top cross bar put together. So, took apart & re-assembled on my back patio area. What makes this easier is that my husband has Allen wrench’s that he inserts into his hand drill for me to use, makes the job go much faster, more efficient. This swing weights about 64 pounds and measures 50 D x 69 H x 76 W. The frame material is powder coated steel in Expresso Brown with a beige canopy that has Velcro straps to secure to the framework. It also is fade & rust resistant. Seats 3 people, there are no “cushions”, it’s more of a padded fabric. This swing is very sturdy, very nice looking and will compliment any patio/garden area nicely.
