I saved over $100 by updating my ceiling fan with this light kit vs. buying an entirely new fan. We spray painted all the parts with a color called Satin Nickel and it looks like a brand new and modern fan.

I had a globe with a brownish tint from my Hampton Bay fan and had been looking forever to find a lighter replacement. Found it in this handy kit with different attachments to match your model. It worked perfectly, hallelujah! I can see!

Worked out great and was very easy to install.

Very compact and stylish

Very hard to hook up the wiring. Never did get the light to work on the switch. The switch is poor quality, which comes with the fan. The glass globe is to small for the fan. I will be replacing the globe or moving this fan light to a back bedroom. Very dissatisfied!!!

I didn't even realize it until we installed it - but this item doesn't have bulbs at all. Supposedly you'll never have to replace a bulb. Sounds great! The look is great and it gives a much brighter, cleaner light than the previous light fixture. Time will tell whether the new type of LED light will be a forever light. But I like this item a lot and I'm considering replacing one or more of my other ceiling fan light fixtures. It's updated, but doesn't scream "modern".

Produces good amount of light, even with glass cover. If you have the fan/light attachment shroud, then no issues mounting to the fan. My fan doesn't have the attachment, but I'm a DIY'er so I purchased some long screws and standoffs to handle the remote and speed circuits (between the fan and light) and a swag-light ceiling mount bracket - put it all together and it is a nice addition to the fan with full indirect light over the room. The multiple color hardware is also nice. One person complained about a strobe effect on the fan blades - take a piece of white foam poster board, cut it to just smaller than the glass cover with interior hole to clear the mounting bracket and reassemble, then no up-light from the LEDs. My fan didn't exhibit this strobe effect, but I was prepared if it did. I recommend this product.

The electrician came to install the light kit undthe fan and the glass shade on the light was cracked. I kept it anyway because I didn't want to have to pay for the electrician to come back. Disappointed!!

Easy to install if you have required cap for fan. Good luck if you tossed it or stashed it away when fan originally installed.

Much better light than the old circular fluorescent fan light it replaced, but because LEDs actually turn on and off with the AC current --- too fast for the eye to normally see --- the light reflected up thru the fan blades makes an annoying "strobe" effect on the ceiling. This quirk is a factor of LEDs and not a criticism of the fixture itself, which is quite nice and easy to install. So 4 stars except taking one back for the strobe effect. (This is not a factor in LED ceiling lights without a fan, and those are a great replacement for less-efficient circular fluorescent fixtures)
