Bought five of these fans for the house we purchased recently. I had an electrician install the fans so I can't comment on the level of difficulty in installing them. He did not complain and had five of them installed in about four hours. The fans look good and work good. The remote works well. I had to label the remote for each room. In our previous home, we had two remotes for each fan that were from a different manufacturer. One on the wall that occupied the same place as a normal wall switch. It had all the same functions as the handheld remote including fan speed and light settings. That was nice so we did not have to look for the remote in the dark. Those fans cost us twice of what we paid for these fans. I do recommend these fans.

the fan controller installed like any other and works with the remote. pairing to wink is a whole different story. I couldn't pair from the beginning. so ok no problem.l, let's reset it. followed instructions on 3 secs off 3 secs x5 (even tried 8x like the app suggests) nothing. no pairing mode

Installation was a bit difficult but that was to be expected. However the unit did not have a proper integration to Smart Things and would lock up occasionally to the point where I would have to cut power to reboot it. It also would not send out reliable status updates when the fan or light was turned on. Also the lack of detailed pairing instructions coupled with the difficulty to successfully get the device into paring mode is my biggest complaint next to the limited support with other ZigBee automation controllers. In the future I would recommend sticking with a pair of traditional wall modules for a more reliable setup, such as the GE ZigBee series modules. The only reason i gave it a star is that the remote works as promised unless the module has locked up. The remote should come with a wall mounting bracket and does not.

It works well as expected with Wink. However, the Fan cannot be used with Alexa, only the light.

Works great but sometimes too many commands at once essentially bricks it where you need to power off and reset the fan other than that love not having to yank on the chains any more.

The remote control does not work half the time. I have the switches set correctly but it's unresponsive 90% of the time.

Great fan for the cost. If you do a flush mount the space is tight to install the remote receiver but it works. That is the toughest part of installation. The light puts out ample light and the fan operates quietly. Overall function of the unit is great. I am happy with the purchase.

It does not control the fan. It only controls the light.

The fan was easy to install and it looks nice. The fan is quiet even on the highest speed.

I was unaware when I bought the fan that it was not pre-wired for the remote. Got the fan fully assembled following the instructions included and then opened up the remote control box to find out that it had needed to be wired up In the top.

Fingers crossed that these latest two replacement Hampton Bay Universal Wink Fan Controllers work. So far so good after about 10 days. The first two had issues atthe highest fan speeds - they stopped working after a day and only the lower speeds worked. Doesn't appear to be an issue with the fan as they are working fine now as well as a third controller that never had an issue.

Signal is weak, I have to stand up to get it to work.

The remote worked seamlessly, my son came over and installed 2 fans w/ remotes.That's when we found out that one remote could operate both fans but we didn't want that option.We wanted the 2 fans on separate controls and they along with the Hunter fans work perfectly!

The works just like all the other light/fan remotes we have in our house. The exception is the variation button on the remote. It makes the fan vary in speed like there is an occasional breeze in the room. Loses a star because it is missing a mount for the wall to place the remote when not in use.

The remote works fine, but I was hoping to use the App. We had the fan installed by an electrician so I don't know whether he installed the connection wrong, but it will not easily connect like the App was showing. We have almost lost the remote twice so I was hoping the App was going to be easy to use.

Overall this remote has been great. The device is a little tight to fit in the fan itself, but once it's wired, it has performed well, and as expected.

Looks good and works great.

I really want these to work. And when they did work they were great products and easily paired with my wink hub. Problem is 2 out of 3 the light stopped turning on all together while the fan controls work. First one stopped working the first night and second one stopped working a week later. I'll look for another unit that unfortunately will not have wink support.

Doesn't fit in fan housing

the remote is very convenient with the fan...there are no wires and I can just click and fan and light are on or off.

Really nice fan, super easy to install, you can dimm the light and the remote control makes it very easy to use. Love it!
