I have a few rental houses... on the ones with the front door facing south, about every 3 years, I have to replace the door bells. Seems the white plastic used for the button has no UV light protection. The button chalks up and disintegrates after a few years. Guess I should get some high dollar button, but like a fool, I just keep getting the same ones!

This doorbell button looks great. However, the plastic button does not stay secure in the metal escutcheon. I am really getting sick and tired of Home Depot stocking their shells with junk. Come on guys get it together.

It's a plain old-fashioned doorbell so there's not much to say. Installation was straight-forward -- connect the power wires and screw it to the wall. It works and the light is bright enough so it won't be missed in the dar.

Price seemed high for a simple, cheap button. When I got home, I discovered the button was not rated for the 24 volts put out by the old garage door opener. Returning it.
