DO NOT buy a shed from Handy Home Products if you are in the Kansas City area. They hire another company to build these sheds and it took them 2 months to build mine. They put the shed on stacked 2x4s and it looks like it could fall over at any time. I complained about it and they kept blowing me off. Buy a tuff shed, save yourself the headache

  • Great looking, but not worth the money

You could easily buy materials and make this yourself for a fraction of the price. Having all the cuts done seems like it will make it so much easier...it should and would, except that there are no 12' pieces in this 12' shed kit, so you end up having to join pieces together by toenailing them. The nails that come with it are absolutely worthless, so this is nearly impossible with what youre given. I was hired to put this together and was blown away by how little you get for the money. Could not in good conscience recommend this to anyone

Bought this to replace a 8 x 10 shed that was falling apart ath the new house my wife and I bought. Easy to assemble with a little help mostly to put up the roof. The rest was done by myself. You do not need the floor kit for this model. I built mine on top of a floating deck that I built first. Just beefed up the supports a bit. Only issue I had is the hardware, screws etc. were not all included with the kit. Some were missing, not enogh, etc. I contacted the company and they shipped what I needed but still some were short. The company advised I could buy what I needed and they reimbursed me for the missing pieces.

Pros Easy to Assemble, Sturdy, Looks Great, Nice Design Cons missing hardware

I absolutely love my new storage shed! It is sturdy and built with real wood. Has a 15 year warranty. It is still empty at this time because we are evaluating ramp systems that will be as strong as the shed is. Looking forward to many years of good use for this shed!

First off, sorry about the nickname... I used that when reviewing a fridge and cant change it now lol. I recently ordered this shed with full installation. I really like the shed itself. The only thing I wish was different is the fact that the rafter braces are not one solid piece .. they are 2 boards that are braced in the middle. Attached is a photo of my shed. We still have to paint the doors and ramp. (Of course the ramp was not included which I didnt realize and I had to have someone else build it for me afterwards). What I do want to warn you about is to triple check EVERYTHING with a fine tooth comb BEFORE your installer leaves! The installer I had came from New Hampshire, I live in RI. He used deck boards and asphalt shingles to level the shed! I had to hire someone to come in after, jack up the shed and properly level it with cement blocks. He also left nails, screws, and staples poking through all over the inside. I sliced my hand on one! So I had a friend bring a grinding wheel over and shave them all off. I am not happy about that because what if I was unable to have these things fixed??? So, yes I like the shed itself. But I warn if you have it installed, to triple check their work before they leave! And check what they will be leveling it with first. They may require you to have blocks on hand for them to use. And I had crushed stone already in place, thinking a small crew could rake that to a level position as I was not physically able to do so. Nope, it was a one man crew who will not do that.
