[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good shed for the price. I had to wait 2-3 months between purchase and installation. Contractors knew what they were doing. Not a heavy duty shed by any means but it does the job. I added my own vinyl siding per HOA rules.

If you are a problem solver, if you know how to follow instructions well and if you have the right tools than go for it! you won't regret it. We decided to go with this shed regardless of all it's bad reviews and we don't regret it because we saved lots of money by building it ourselves, two women (36 and 40 years old). You do need strength and a good back to lift up the walls once they're built. If you have extra money in your bank account than save yourself the trouble and have someone else build it for you. The negative reviews are accurate, several lumber pieces came warped, instead of straight two by threes we got curved two by three lumber that affected the alignment when assembling the walls. That is why I recommend that you be the type of person that's a creative problem solver. You will run into a few issues since quality control isn't a priority for the manufacturer of this product apparently. It is not the best quality but we made it work and the outcome was great. We did spend extra money on a window and on the architectural laminate shingles. It took us at least 12 hours to complete. It was nice that we were able to schedule a delivery date and the driver called 20 minutes before arrival. I would give it 3.5 stars if I could.

When I had this shed bought and installed, it was a good deal. After two years the roof edge has started to rot. I called about the warranty and was told I should have gotten the metal roof edge and it was an extra. How was I to know that? Would of gladly had that installed at the time! So much for the warranty because they put it on being my fault. Just beware and make sure you install a roof edge because without it , it’s going to rot!!

My roommate bought this shed to save money on a storage locker but his construction skills weren’t up to the task so I ended up putting it together. I used to frame houses so not a big deal. Or so I thought. Turns out most of the 2x3 studs were warped badly. The cut work on the siding were and facia were crappy and several of the roof trusses were warped as well. The floor is not included (something that’s not very clear from the description) and the trim was flimsy garbage as were the door handles. I ended up spending an extra $400+ and a lot of extra time correcting for poor materials and/or making improvements to the shed trim and doors so that it will A. Last a long time and B. Not be ridiculously easy to break into. I could have built a better shed from scratch for less. And faster.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love our knew Handy Home shed. They have great features and are well built. The install was very fast, about 6 hours and the installer did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend this shed to anyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this shed over a year ago. I couldn't have a pre-built shed delivered because a vehicle would have to drive over my leechfield. I was so happy they stick built it in spot! They even built it in early January. I only had to mark out the corners of where I wanted it and they came and built it while I was at work! So easy and convenient! The shed is really sturdy, plenty of space inside and the double doors are great! It comes preprinted. So far I have not painted it yet and everything is still 100% perfect. I couldn't be happier with it!

I’ve had it for a few months now and am very happy with it, especially the window which like the entire shed was installed very well, and I now have it set up with shelves and a work table and electricity and as well as a storage space I enjoy spending time there. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I saw this at Home Depot for $820 I thought it couldn't be true. All other sheds, even ones that you have to build yourself, were at least double or more. Fortunately at the time I had a 10% coupon from Home Depot so it was a no brainer at that point, I even got two small windows from Handy Home products as well that paired nicely. The downside to this was that it took 3 months for me to receive my shed and it was supposed to arrive in 3 weeks. Now I realize there was a pandemic, but I felt someone dropped the ball, either Home Depot or Handy Home or somewhere in between, and didn't actually place the initial order. That being said, both Home Depot and Handy Home picked up that dropped ball and accommodated the delivery process and actually delivered it to my house free of charge so that was cool. I even got a credit for 4 missing 2 x 4's. All in all, I rated this 4 stars mainly for price because the price of lumber had skyrocketed and the delivery of the shed. I do wish this was a 2 x 4 shed and not 2 x 3, but I knew that before purchasing so that's not a fault of the product. Honestly if I were to do it all over again, I would have just bought all the lumber myself and built from scratch. I say that because as I purchased this, I knew in my head I wanted to make it 4' longer, so a 10 x 14. So I wound up buying additional materials anyways not only to make it longer but to fortify this shed and make it super sturdy and solid built. If you're looking for a pretty decent and nice DIY shed, I would say you can't beat the price at all, not even close. I work in construction so this was easy for me to make it more of the way I wanted it, but even if you're a novice, you can build this shed because the included instructions are very thorough and easy to read. If there was any other downside, I would say that some of the measurements and cuts could have been better, especially coming from inside a factory where these are packaged together. There's an old saying in the carpentry business, measure twice and cut once. I have attached a few pictures of my final built shed and I used premium products to finish it off including matching architectural shingles exactly what is on my house and aftermarket hardware. I got this thinking great I will not have to cut anything. well i was right on that but the real question should have been should i do the cutting . so much was cut wrong I will put in a pic just so you can see. on top of that the very low quality lumber. the treated lumber was only stamped treated I could see no difference between the treated and the standard pine, not a dot of green. the job did get done with yes adding lumber and cutting lol . It took me about 15 hours to put up with me and my young boys. If your not good with a saw and tap, if its just an out building don't care to much about. go for it . if you can build it on your own do it.

Almost all of the 2x3s were badly warped and twisted so none of it wanted to fit together properly. I had to use several pieces of my own wood so wall panels and roof would attach. 2 pieces from the kit were also completely missing.

It was delivered and installed in the time they said it would be delivered. My father in law painted it and it looks great! I highly recommend handy home shed’s to anyone who is looking for an inexpensive purchase!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the Princeton Shed and loved the work of the shed. It is a very nice high quality shed.

Ended up purchasing this shed because of the cost savings. Even with the added extras (wood for floor, nails, roofing material, etc.) it was about $1500. Other 10x10 delivered sheds will run you around $5K. The shed took about 2 solid days to put together. Once it was complete, it's pretty solid, but the process can be a little tedious, get ready to work... My only complaint is that this is a package/modular shed, so I don't understand why they wouldn't add in everything you need like the floor and roof. Regardless, once complete, it does the job and with a fresh coat of paint, it looks pretty good.

I surprise when I bought this product , I thought come complete , roof and floor ! I got upset when opened ! I spend more to buy the rest of material ! For total I spending 1300...I don’t returned we opened already ! But my husband made it by himself !

Ordered April 02, installed July 7th after 4 rescheduled dates The Installation: 1) Installer notified me the day before the installation and showed up on time. (Excellent) 2) Installer was extremely knowledgeable and worked efficiently (Excellent) 3) Quality of work: Poor. Why? Nails missed, bent, not corrected, no caulking on ridge roof nails, which will leak, left all the trash that I was told he was taking. I asked about it and he said he has no way to get rid of it. Unacceptable, as I now have to get rid of it. 4) Final Inspection - Installer was in a hurry to leave and never did a final walk through as I met him in the driveway before he left. Probably because he knew he did a lousy job. 5) Quality of materials - cheapest on the market 6) Construction of shed - Built to reduce as much cost as possible, which I’m impressed it actually stands on its own. That said, jury is still out how it withstands a severe thunderstorm or blizzard. The metal shed I had seem more sturdy than this. Floor is flimsy. 7) No trim and now I have unprimed, cracked, 2x3 rough lumber that I need to caulk, paint, flash, etc to make it look presentable Bottom line, the shed is a disappointment and now I’ll have to reinforce it by adding supports to the walls, floor, etc. Attached are pic of the shed as I’m sure the installer just provided a distance shot to show its onsite

However, after reveiwing the information and directions online, I went ahead. The step-by-step directions made it simple to follow and a joy to build. We are very pleased with the outcome!

I had to go back to HD and spend an additional $300+ to buy better materials to complete project. They only sent us 1 package of shingles which was not enough also the hardware nails and screws not enough.... You need a carpenter with material knowledge to build this shed because it's all inadequate materials.

Awesome fit and workmanship

It has only been 3 weeks since installation, but so far it's sturdy and works great. I painted a few days after install and then it rained 5 days in a row and still looks great. So far so good, and we love it!

Most of the pieces provided were terrible! Ragged edges, twisted boards and bowed wood. Most parts not marked so we had to measure and guess what was what. We are not finished yet because it is so time consuming to make parts fit right! Not to mention after three promised deliveries, we were supposed to get delivery fee comped and a discount, but never heard back from Home Depot. Do not buy this unit. Spend more and get quality!

Love my new shed! Mike the installer did a great job! I primed it for extra protection and then painted it. It looks great!

Although it seemed daunting at first, once we got into the build and followed the directions, this shed was easy to build and the final product looks great. I did build my own base because I wanted a more solid feel than the one that comes with, especially since I had to buy my own 3/4 inch sheets anyway, I went with full 10 length pressure treated 2x4s for the base frame. It took a long memorial weekend to build, but at an easy pace. Friday we laid gravel pad down and built the base , Saturday we built and installed the walls and Sunday we put the roof on and shingles then primered the trim, door, and floor. Monday was paint the floor, walls, and trim. Overall, great product for the money. If you can read directions and are somewhat handy with a hammer and nails, this DIY shed should save you lots of money on installation. With the money we saved on installation, we were able to spend a little more on good paint and the good floor paint making this look like any 2000 dollar shed on the market. It does ask you to use wood glue on 2 steps but does not call it out on the buy list, everything else seemed straight forward.

We bought this shed and had it installed by Home Depot's sub contractor, Handy Home (Backyard Products.) There are gaps in the corners and edges that rain and critters can get through, and one of the trim boards is split down the middle. There also appears to be a leak in the roof. While the shed appears to be a decent one, it isn't worth a dime if it isn't installed properly. This is the 3rd time we've had an issue with a Home Depot installation, so needless to say we are NOT happy. My advice-- if you buy the shed (or anything else from Home Depot) put it together yourself, or hire a trusted contractor to do it for you.

Overall I was pleased with this shed. The instructions were fairly straightforward, well done and accurate with a few exceptions. On the page concerning "wing wall panels" it said to find a "lip edge" and a "square edge", there were no such edges. On the "gable trim" page, this should really be done while the walls are on the ground as opposed to doing it once the wall is raised. The same is true with the "trim/endcaps". On page 45 of the instructions, the "door weatherstrip" could be installed much easier on the ground as opposed to once the doors were set in place. I installed my shed on a cement foundation and some of the instructions do not apply if that is the case. It should be specified in the instructions that a certain step can be skipped if the installation is on a cement foundation. For example, on page 43 of the instructions, installing part "OO" can be skipped if the shed is built on a cement foundation. I was missing one door hardware part. Some of the wood quality could have been better but for the most part I'm very pleased and would recommend the product to others.

I have never built a shed, shingled a roof, or done a project like this yet the instructions guided me perfectly through the entire process! it took me a few days working about 4 hours a day to build the unit by myself. The only part I needed help with was putting the walls up which was an easy process. I did not use any of the screws or nails the unit came with I purchased my own. Yes a lot of the wood was warped but it did not cause issues erecting the unit level and square if you have a brain. As a matter of fact most of the 2x3's were warped or bowed. This still does not make my opinion of the shed different as over all the unit is very nice and worth the money. Also yes the instructions have some misspellings but who cares! I didnt buy the shed for the intruction manual. It has been raining not stop for days and the unit is dry as a bone inside. I fit a 54" zero turn mower, push mower, pressure washer, several ladders, 40 gallon trash can and many other items in the shed with no issues.

I have had my shed about a month. Mr. T. Knight, fast and efficiently, built the shed in about 7-8 hours with only short breaks and I might add, all by himself. He also cleaned up the debris and hauled it off with him. Two problems: 1) the doors, which are manufacturer issued, do not hold in place enough with the standard latch assembly that comes with the installation. I added a second bolt lock on the top edge of the doors to keep them from appearing to be open. 2) Purchase paint because you will also have to do your own painting to cover the borders because the two by fours used in installation are not painted, but rather raw timber which is not how it appears in the display picture (see white border and trim in display picture). Overall, it was a good experience, but I haven't painted yet. The bricks and walkway are some things I am working on so disregard. Would I buy again?, Likely, given, with the 10 year warranty!
