Sooo Easy To Use
You do have to remove the light switch or the outlet to use this. Just slide it on the box. Put your drywall up next to it. Give the drywall a little push on the opposite side of the box. You should have 6 little hole punches. Draw a line from each hole to mark your cut line. Cut the drywall hole. Put drywall back and it should just slide right over the box. Great little product.

they should make another model that has longer pins. ...
they should make another model that has longer pins. The receptacles were already in place so the middle was cut out to fit flush. For my purposes it worked far better. The end result was quick and accurate cuts.

Great gadget, works great. When the board is lined up set the SAVVY mark. It takes the measuring out of the equation. Always helps to have a helper working with you.

For ease of use, this tool is exactly what you need to cut accurate holes for 1-gang boxes. There are some rules: the drywall has to be pre-cut to size for dry fitment, to allow you to line the hole up correctly. Additionally, it cannot easily be used with pre-wired boxes, so install outlets last.
