Great idea but I open the box and it doesn’t even pull out more than 5 inches. A true piece of garbage in construction. It is a shame when a great idea meets cheap manufacturing. 2 stars only because it is a great idea. Back to the store :<{

Smart product to hang things and priced right

Best customer service. I saw this product being reviewed on YouTube, by Angela and had to hang a mirror myself. It was so easy to use the Hang-O-Matic but then it didn't retract back and I was dissappointed. I was about to return it but decided to contact the company direct. It turns out it's a new invention and invented by this family. They shipped me out a new one right away. Eye opening that some of these products in stores come from small business. It made my purchase and experience that much better.

Doesn’t retract right out of the box

Let me be honest after 3yr with it. It's a crappy product. The material starts become flimsy. The red tab you use to push the pin to leave a indent mark it comes out. Then the balancer is off every time I use it. Making my pictures/frame one side higher/lower. It is very annoying product. Buy the ryobi one or any other brand. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

This product is good in theory. The bubble is very inaccurate. Tried to level several times and each time the bubble was on center, it was at a different point. Don't rely on the bubble level to give you an accurate reading. It will NOT BE LEVEL. Went back to a standard tape measure and true carpenter's level.

Great tool for hanging pictures

It takes the guess work out of hanging things. You mark the wall in one step & know measurements are right & confident it will be level first try.

The concept of this produces is great. However, the tape measure wouldn’t recoil back into its case after only one use. So to the trash it went. I hate how disposable everything has become.

I can't believe Homedepot sells this. It is totally worthless, unless the picture you are hanging is less than four inches wide, in which case you don't need this, so totally useless.

A great tool to have. It takes all the guess work out and is easy to use too.

Don’t trust the level bubble it’s bit off.

It broke almost immediately. Will not rewind.

I purchased this item a year ago, so delighted with it. Showed it to some of my artist friends and they wanted one. I could not find it in Canada, so I purchased a few more for gifts for family and friends. This picture-perfect tool enables me to hang pictures all by myself!

Easy to use and works well.

Why didn't I buy this sooner! Made hanging my double hanger pictures so easy.

Very poorly designed. NOT A GOOD VALUE. It’s easier to just use a regular ruler and small level.

Started out well, however, the tape measure started to get harder and harder to retract and eventually would no longer retract into itself. It’s a good idea but very poor manufacturing.

Made hanging art easier.

Super clumsy. Plus I hate when you can’t measure correctly because of all the junk at the end. Where are you supposed to start measuring from? Also it felt like the level was not reliable.

Total garbage. The tape measure is too flimsy & folds over. The “markers” slide too easily (no way to lock in place) so there’s no accuracy. Great in theory, horrible execution.
