Not what I expected. I even pretreated the metal before I applied. After it was put on it peeled off easily in hunks. I would of expected that possibly if I put on bare metal but I sanded it before I applied.

Wade, it is difficult to determine the nature of the adhesion problem that you experienced with the application of Henry 587. Henry 587 will normally adhere to metal roofs however, some metal panels come from the factory with either a light oil film or a clear plastic coating which makes adhesion difficult. For that reason we always suggest that you apply a few adhesion tests prior to coating the entire roof. The second factor that can affect adhesion is the application temperature and the humidity level. Didnt work for me. Rolled on 2x, 24 hrs to dry, rain came, coating ran off the roof, gutters into driveway to the street. NOT for roof restore of any sorts, paint only. Worst $200 i ever spent. Use roll roofing material. these products suck

We are sorry that you had a less than satisfactory experience with Henry 587 Dura-Brite. Since Henry 587 is a water based roof coating it is important that the application directions be carefully followed especially this time of year. Henry 587 should not be applied if the temperature is expected to drop below 50 degrees, day or night for 24 to 48 hours or if the humidity is high. High humidity can slow the curing time. This elastomeric coating settled out badly. No amount of mixing could recombine the coating. It was also very prone to plugging an airless sprayer with appropriate tip. Additionally it did not clean up well when finished painting.

Jon B, we are sorry to hear about your inconvenience when you applied Henry 587 Dura-Brite. We hope that you returned the bucket to your local Home Depot for another bucket. Henry 587 should stir up easily and also spray with the correct spray equipment. Henry 587 cannot be applied with a normal paint sprayer but requires a commercial airless applicator. While we are happy that you are pleased with how well Henry 587 applied to your motorhome, the coating that we normally recommend for vehicles that travel over the road is Henry 887 TropiCool 100% Silicone. Henry 887 forms a chemical bond to the roof that is much stronger than the typical bond formed by the evaporation process of most acrylic coatings. The stronger bond prevents the coating from eventually peeling or lifting caused by the wind passing over the roof when the RV is moving. everything had been reverse for location since I last came in. You must have fun.. Was was not what it was on-line and what was posted on bin. As in Bin price was one and sticker price on part was another one
