We completely agree with you that Henry 208R is a great product for quick and instant roof leak repairs. Henry 208R is a professional grade product but can be easily used by the DIYer as well as the pro to repair a leak and stop the damage that water can do a structure. Does not stick as advertised
Just rolls around when damp or cold on surface. Not good for wet or damp surfaces and never seems to dry, so rain movies it around. Very disappointed in this product.

PWSHHH, we are sorry for your inconvenience. Henry 208R will adhere to most roofing surfaces and will do so even in the rain. It is difficult to assess your issue since we do not know the kind of surface that the 208R was applied to. Henry 208R should not be applied to a rubber membrane such as EPDM or a vinyl-like membrane such as TPO. So Far, Leak Free
I used 208 R along with the Henry 296 elasto tape to repair some leaky seams/side laps in a peel-and-stick bitumen cap sheet. Was getting annoying "micro leaks" interior and finally figured out it was the seams. So far heavy rains in Florida and no leaks. Spreads well but is messy, always wear gloves and old clothes. There is no "neat" way to apply it. Hoping for an effective repair that lasts a bit.

You can use Henry 208R to repair holes, cracks, splits, seams and around any roof penetrations that could possibly cause a leak. I use this to seal failing roof composition shingles. Make sure you use fiberglass mesh for reinforcement. Clean up w/kerosene. I recommend this product.

btferg, Henry 208R is perfect for repairing composition shingles. Using the Henry 181 Fabric will make the repair 5 times stronger. As odd as it may seem you can also use WD-40 to clean off tools after using Henry 208R. Thank you for putting your trust in the Henry Co and the Home Depot.

Product was easy to use, although the nature of the material is thick and goopy...and smells terrible. Like roofing tar. Exterior application takes care of the need for ventilation in this regard. You apply about 1/8 to 1/4 thick underneath and on top of the associated reinforcing fabric. Very easy to apply both. I had water coming into the house via a screw hole in the top of a double-paned window. Then, the next day, a water stain formed on the ceiling near the window. Went on the roof to assess. Found many lifted tiles. (roof will be replaced this summer). Applied the sealant and fabric to all lifted tiles (all told an area of roughly 10 sq. ft.) and 24 hours later, when the next storm hit, no leak! Water spot on my ceiling has not increased in size after heavy, heavy rains. Definitely recommend! Was very economical. Great fix for next several months through winter.

Henry 208R was easy to apply with a plastic putty blade in 44 degree temperature. we had a rain storm of 2.5 inches 2 days later and not a drop of leakage. super stuff.

Jong, the warranty for Henry 208R is 10 years. The label illustrates the 3-course patch method to repair cracks, splits, holes and seams. Roofs expand and contract daily due to temperature changes and the fabric like Henry 181 or 183 is a necessary part of repairing a leak.
