I will forever choose Hercules over DAP! Strong hold and easy to use. Looks clean too 🤙🏼

This caulk was supposed to be highly rated for caulking plumbing fixtures but don’t waste your money! Within 24 hours the caulk had pulled away from the base of the toilet, so not only was it a waste of money but now I also have to remove and re-caulk around the toilet. I will not ever buy this product again.

Used (a ton of) this on a tub drain and it held up for about a dozen showers. First time I used it for a bath I noticed significant water below my tub, ceiling below the tub and somehow 2 floors below in the basement. my first observation was as I wiped off the drain, more water would pool up indicating to me that it was retaining water and squeezing water out to fill dry cavities. For example, I'd dry the drain area with toilet paper, bone dry, and then within a few seconds new water would be present. Next morning I take the drain off and it looks like ~90% of the caulk is gone and the little bit that is left is softer than toothpaste. Key thing to note is that I DID give the caulk well over a full 24 hours before first use. Probably closer to two days between applying it and the first time it was exposed to water. Regardless, the fact that this stuff was toothpaste soft a week later seems problematic for a sealant. This was the first/last time I used this stuff, tried something new and learned my lesson. I honestly don't know if maybe I got a bad batch or something, the other reviews are very positive, but I'm also not a total novice and have a pretty good idea of what caulk *shouldn't* feel/look like after 2 weeks of curing. Use at your own risk.
