Customer Reviews for Hillman 100 ft. 150 lb. 12-Gauge Galvanized Wire

This product comes up in a search for ‘galvanized steel wire’ at Home Depot. It is soft & Flexible and I would guess that it is aluminum, not steel. The 100 ft. roll has a very small diameter (~8”) so its ‘memory’ makes it difficult to use/uncoil without kinking, especially in long runs. I would assume that the smaller packaging (not as seen on the Depot website) is for shipping ease and display, but previously the rolls were 2 feet in diameter which made it easy to mount in a wire jenny for no fuss unspooling. I would not buy this product.

The wire is not strong enough for what I need it for.

Wire was very soft. Handled more like Aluminum wire than galvanized steel. Not strong enough to support much of anything, even though it is 12 ga wire. Disappointing in all respects.

Wire was exactly what I needed for my Berry Trellis.

So useful when needed to tie anything, I also make handmade baskets out of them to put my plastic ported plants like a wall hanging basket and hang them on a balcony railing or make a vertical tower garden and hang the potted plants on a mesh panel. They have many uses fro have around the house especially for outdoors.
