Floor looks really nice however, after a week or so that it's been down it's starting to seperate in places. Still looks good but not real happy about this. If I had known this I wouldn't have bought it.

This flooring was great, we had NOT one bad piece. We purchased enough for 300 sq ft, and padding. It went together very easily. Our home was built in the early 60's, pier and beam and on sand so the floor was not always level. The flooring looks wonderful and this color is just what I wanted, no red in it, beiges and browns. Perfect colors. Also we had some cut off pieces outside setting in rain over night, I brought a good size piece inside to dry completely just to observe how it would react to being in the rain, there was no change in it whatsoever. So I am very pleased w/ my new floor

I had my new condo's carpet flooring completely removed and replaced with this laminate flooring. It looks amazing and I love the handscraped feel of real wood. It's thick and appears to be very durable but only time will tell. I was going for a low gloss laminate that had a rustic look but can be modernized with contemporary furniture and it definitely did that. The floor is just a small shade over medium so I painted the walls with a warm white and a comfortable light airy sage green and the room looks amazing. The contrast looks great with my paint colors and my cherry cabinets. The prior kitchen floors were a deep red cherry, which was too matchy with the cabinets and made the kitchen feel angry! The distressed brown definitely toned it down. I noticed a few planks were a little raised but I think my contractor glued those down so hopefully, that won't be an issue. Otherwise, the warranty is great on residential use. My contractor said the product was good quality but the installation of the planks could be better but it's not the worst he's seen. On a side note, I was going to take advantage of their basic install promotion but Home Depot required that I use a store purchased product. According to my condo standards, none of their underlayments were sufficient and I was constantly being sold of the floor muffler product. It's just a thin foam pad that doesn't really have any acoustic value. I ended up going elsewhere to buy acoustical rubber, and hired an independent contractor. Home Depot really should consider being less stringent because they didn't get my install for not allowing me to purchase my own underlay. I did laminate floors at my prior home in 2008 and at that time, I was allowed to buy my own underlay product without question but not this time.

Pros Feels Like Wood, High Quality of Material, Looks Like Wood, Sturdy, Looks Great, Great Accent, Looks High End Cons Difficult to Install

  • Beautiful, but kind of noisy!

This flooring is absolutely beautiful! We installed it throughout our home in every room but the bedrooms and bathrooms. The only downfall we have noticed is that it's often noisy. When the home is warm it's pretty quiet when you walk on it, but in the early morning hours when our interior temperature is cooler it crackles when you walk on it. I believe there is a LOT more expansion and contraction in this product, which is the case in any wood or laminate product but this one seems to be exceptionally noisy. We used a medium grade underlayment liner so maybe a more sound deadening one would be better. Also, it recommends that you don't have any runs longer than 30' without the use of transition strips and we didn't want to do that because of our layout. That may have contributed to the movement and noise. And like anything, inspect each plank for any blemishes before installing it. Be careful with scraping things acrossed it. Just like a wood product, it will show if you aren't careful. Overall, this is the most beautiful flooring I've seen and everyone who comes to our home loves it.

Pros Comfortable, Easy to Clean, Easy to Install, Feels Like Wood, High Quality of Material, Looks Great, Looks High End, Looks Like Wood, Sturdy Cons Scratches Easily, Noisy

I was disappointed in the way the ends locked together and also the strength of the side locks was not the best. I have had other brands that locked much better than these did.

  • Great appearance! Some flaws in design.

Pros: Appearance, price, pattern repeats randomly, even in same lot number Cons: could not use from different boxes randomly, dimensions were slightly off on a few, making it very difficult to get together properly. Some long seams don't completely meet. Be sure your floor is perfectly flat. Since these do not have lips on the end that lock together, they don't stay smooth. The instructions say to glue the end seams on first row of any run, do it. Otherwise they will stick up. The 6.26" width and 50.78" length makes room layout a little difficult, but not bad enough to not buy this flooring. Overall, for the price, this is a great choice for flooring.

My new floor looks amazing! It might be laminate but it looks so much like real hardwood. Just the right amount of rustic but with very little maintenance.

Purchased and installed 2400sq/ft of this flooring after looking at many options. The install went pretty easy as this isnt my first install of laminate. I did feel during install that the locking/joining method had alot to be desired but figured that it was fine considering all the good reviews. Now that all of the flooring is installed and being walked on i see that i should have taken my concern more to heart. The end sections on the boards are weak and you can feel them give way when walking across the room(s). This causes the floor the feel cheap to me. The last laminate i installed from homedepot in another house was half the cost and never did this. The install was correct, the floors were level, correct undelayment placed, etc. I work as a industrial engineer and can confidently say that the method the floors connect together end to end needs to be evaluated to keep this from happening. Some manufactures used a plastic strip that “catches” the next piece when put in place where as these simply overlap with a rectangular notch. I now have 2400 sq/ft that i wish was not installed but no ability to change things now.
