Works great!! The only thing that we changed was the light bulb for a LED white.

I own some of these lights that fit on you posts outdoors, I know this light can be as well but I liked these style so much I got one for the indoor! This looks amazing in my Livingroom. The cord is very long and I had zero problem with it reaching to an electrical source for installation. The bulb that came with it is a bit to bright so I am in the processes of changing that out. It is a very nice light made of great materials.

In the process of adding this light to the high ceiling of the stairs to the second floor. This fixture can be installed indoors or outdoors. I really like the old time seeded glass. Has enough fixture chain to suit any ceiling height. Installation is fairly simple.

Oops! This fixture, while nice, is not quite as described. It has no wood - instead it has a walnut wood-like grain pattern imprinted on its all-steel frame. The unit I received had a minor paint defect, probably from rubbing the packaging material during transport. The defect was at the top and would not be visible from below once installed. Packaging material was form-fitting, egg-crate style cardboard which may have had more friction and less resiliency than encased foam, as used on some of THD's other fixtures. Excellent instructions, and the old-style Edison lamp is included. Adjustable chain for differing ceiling heights. Due to the design, recommended for indoor or outdoor non-windy locations only.

I like how you can alter how low you want this to hang; all you need to do is unbuckle one of the chains at the height in which you want the light to hang and then presto! It is at the height you want! I do really like the design, so much so that we ended up hanging it inside of our home instead of outside (nice that i can be done outside as well!) definitely recommend.

The Palermo Grove Gilded Iron hanging lantern is a beautiful light fixture. Included is all of the hardware, fixture, glass enclosure and bulb. You can set the hanging height to your liking. There is a rod that is part of the assembly so the light has to hang down at least that far so take that into account when figuring out how low this will hang. The glass has a nice finish pattern to it as well.

A really nice upgrade to the contractor special that was at the front door. This light came with everything required to convert to a nice hanging pendant light. The height of your ceiling and how low you want the pendant to hang will determine how much chain is required. In my case, just the rod and carabiner attachment was the perfect length. However, there was plenty of wire and chain for a much higher ceiling. It was simple to install, the base plate, attach the wires and finishing touches. All in all about 45 mins for one person. It looks elegant and there is a special bulb included that's a soft light and shows the filaments on the inside, a nice touch. The glass housing is etched to look like rain, which should reflect nicely with the soft light. A very nice, well constructed light.

The light came shipped to us and had no problems with the packing. First thing I noticed was the walnut part was not wood. It's probably aluminum with a walnut veneer. The light does take a little while to assemble. After assembly I noticed the light socket was not straight and moved side to side without a way to tighten it. Overall the light does look nice once it was installed. It does come with the bulb which gives it a nice look to it and the bulb base is the standard base. You could use a LED bulb if you like, but the one that came with it was not.

The lantern is imported, and as such the present price point is truly digestible. But I digress, the actual lamp is delivered, packed exceedingly well, which is a precursor of manufacturing quality control. That's empirically speaking. The lamp does have good weight and all the mounting hardware. The Actual center glass is thick, and has a nice bubble composure. Good lamp. the instructions are well executed. Oh in closing the inner accent is a bit rigid to move in a perpendicular position.

This is the third light we have gotten in the line from Home Decorators Palermo Grove fixtures. This light can go inside or outside. We plan to hang it inside with the rest of our matching lights. The gilded iron with walnut wood accents is a very rustic/industrial look. You can find other lights that go with this fixture by searching for Palermo Grove on the Home Depot site. The fixture comes with an attractive Edison bulb which adds to the rustic look of the fixture. Since the fixture has a chain, it could be hung on a flat or a sloped ceiling. When my husband installed the bulb, I noticed that it hung crookedly in the fixture. If this happens to you. it is easy to adjust it so that it hangs straight. My husband reached inside with a pencil to straighten the bulb.
