upon reading other reviews I was a little weary about purchasing this fan. I don't have any issues with the remote or lag time as other have stated. It's beautiful, quiet and the remote is easy to use. having the capability with he remote to change the color spectrum of the light is a neat idea. This is by far one of the quietest fans I have ever purchased or even been around. You can't go wrong if you're in the market for a new fan.

This Hampton Bay ceiling fan is just beautiful. The ceiling fan operates really smoothly and very quiet. I love the air velocity that it pushes around my great room. The fan seems to be built very well. The installation took me about an hour.

These fans are reasonably priced. They're unusually easy to assemble. And this is important they are very very quiet has a nice remote control. One small issue. Lighting fixtures on the fan. One is twice as bright as the other.( I bought two fans). They'll send me a new lighting part. But It's a 2-month wait at least. But I would buy them again. Great if you don't have vaulted ceilings

Nice fan but the glass bowl fell for no reason,the fan wasn't even on.

My kids and their grandpa were sitting around the dining table with our new ceiling fan above it. It had been installed about 2 weeks. Suddenly withoit warning, the glass covering to the light fell, hit the table and shattered, spraying glass at them. Thankfully, no one caught any glass to the face or the eyes. But wow, never had this happen before with a product from home depot. My kids climb on the table a lot. This could've hit one of them. Returning!!

This fan is very plain, but it has a lot of nice features. We put this in our bedroom, replacing a fan/light that just didn't provide enough light. The light kit is great! It is really bright, and has the 3 settings so you can tell if you have black socks or blue! It has more fan settings than our old one (a 1983 model) and is quieter. It was pretty easy to put up. The remote is nice, no chains hanging down to eventually break. The fan blades can be switched from brown to gray. It is close to the ceiling - so it works well on lower ceilings.

I love this fan! It’s gorgeous and puts out plenty of circulation. My only issue is that within a month of installing it, the light no longer works. I try turning in the light and it’s so faint, I can barely tell it’s on. Almost like the light bulb is dying out. I think I may have bought a defective fan.

Easy to install, looks good, and priced right. The remote control saved time and money because I did not have to add new wiring or switches to run the fan. The fan is powerful on speed 3 and very quiet on speed 1. Perfect for running all night long

I’ve installed too many fans in my life and i can’t express how easy these are to install. I put up two in my house and they look and function beautifully! They are quiet and the multiple light temp is a nice feature. I highly recommed this fan.

The change between colors isn't very drastic, you'd have to play close attention to notice difference.. There is a delay from remote but once you're use it it, you don't notice it . What's suspicious. I had this thing sitting in is box 3 weeks before install and few moments after it was powered on, I got email to review it. Scary.

Before deciding to give this fan a try, I read a lot of the reviews, both good and bad. Sometimes I find myself paying too much attention to the bad reviews. I'm glad I didn't do that this time. This Home Depot fan is a terrific fan and a great value. First, the fan looks and feels like it's manufactured from quality materials. The finish is pretty much flawless. Second, the mounting system is cleverly engineered and you can tell that a good deal of thought went into making the fan a one-person installation. Even the fan blades are easy to attach which isn't at all the case with a lot of fans. I think it took me about 20 minutes from opening the box to turning it on and testing it with the included remote. The integrated lighting is LED and provides plenty of light. The remote allows you to cycle between 3 color temps ranging from a nice warm white, to a little brighter but still warm, to a final "surgical" white. The LEDs should last the life of the fan. Lastly, the fan is really quiet. There is virtually no sound other than moving air, and it really does move some air. There is no beeping from the remote or the fan when changing settings. There is an ON/OFF switch on the remote so that the fan will start with the last settings that were used. I like this fan so much I'm already planning to purchase three more. And, hey, if you were to be unlucky enough to experience a problem with one, Home Depot won't hassle you about a return or exchange. You can buy this fan with confidence.

I bought 2 of the 44" about 2 months ago for the bedrooms with no remote. We love the so much we bought 2 - 54" for the living room and den. I have a old 10 room colonial and the 4 rooms on the 1st floor are all around 14'x16' and 1 large window a/c in the dining room. The old 60" fans really didn't draw the cool air into the other rooms. But these new fan do. The whole 1st floor is very comfortable now. I would have given them 5 stars but I have 2 issues. 1 is the fan blades, on the light color side have chatter marks on them. 2 fans, all 10 blades. Good thing my wife wanted the darker sides showing. Poor quality control from whomever you buy the blades from. My 2nd issue is even though these fans are 2 rooms apart, the remote controls both fans other words my wife watches her shows in the living room and I watch mine in the den so when she controls her fan mine changes with hers and visa versa. She thinks its funny because now she can gain my attention when she wants to tell me something. Not so funny.. I read the control codes are pre set at the factory but there must be some way to correct that problem. Other than that, we do love them.

Honestly, if I could, I'd probably give this thing 4.5 stars. Now...I've just purchased it today and installed it (probably took about 15-20 minutes to install this after removing the old one). For what it's worth, I'm not sure there's any such thing as the perfect ceiling fan - if there is, I've yet to find it. Pros: * I hear no motor noise - you will hear the air movement if you have it cranked up on high, but on low and medium the entire unit (even the air movement) is very quiet. * Install was seriously one of the best I've ever encountered. Well thought out, and easy to do just reading the directions * Attractive - in my opinion, this is a nice looking fan * Controller works well Cons: * The light output is very much on the low side. I believe it says it puts off 1100 lumens, but that really feels like it's overselling it. The ceiling fan I replaced had one of those exposed bulb type of light kits with four bulbs and it destroyed this in comparison * There is a noticeable delay from when you turn on the main power switch to when the light / fan turn on * Every wireless controlled fan I've ever installed uses a single wire for powering both the light and the fan - this would be a plus if every room that was designed for use with a fan / light kit typically has two switches - so installing this (or any other wireless fan) basically makes one of your switches a dead switch. Granted, having only had this installed tonight, I don't know what long-term performance will be like, but the fan it replaced was so loud from the motor that I couldn't take it any longer. At least I have that peace back :-) Now I've just got to get some lamps to put in the room because the lighting is too dim to do much of anything now. I've include 5 photos...one is just a picture of the fan from underneath to show you what it looks like using a video light in the room just so you can see how the fan looks in a good light. The other four photos are using the fan light settings for soft light and day light without any additional light in the room (you'll know which photos those are because the room looks VERY dark...and it is - it's very representative of what the room looks like when only lit by the fan light). The other two photos are mostly the same shot except with the video light on in the room just to show you what the well lit room should look like. Hope this helps - the fan looks decently bright in store, but you can't see how well it disperses that light. This should give you a better idea. Ultimately, if you're going to be in a room where you need light to see - like to read / write, or anything like that, you'll likely want to invest in some space lamps to give some nice illumination.

Absolutely easy install, did not need a professional to install. Works great, low noise and provides balances temperature.

We've got it about a month ago and the product is above the expectation. Nice and modern design, texture and color. Lighting has excellent features. One drawback is...the remote controller doesn't function once in a while.

Although I had an electrician install it; he was finished in < 20minutes. I am very happy with my purchase as it does a great job of keeping me cool & looks good besides. I love the sleek design & remote control with no strings hanging down. I was reluctant to get a ceiling fan as the great majority of them I find unattractive with chandeliers & cords hanging from them. Not the Ashby 52"; with its sleek design, it looks great & enhances the look of the room. Oh did I mention the light is bright enough for the room with 3 different output settings.
