Love this flooring!
I bought this flooring for a 800 sq ft basement remodel - my contractor had this installed in a day and a half - it looks amazing! The finish is matte which is the look i was going for - i am thrilled with the results
We ended up buying 1500 sq feet of this laminate for the basement. We used the quietwalk underlayment with vapor barrier. It was expensive, but the laminate was going over concrete, so we wanted top quality. The flooring looks great so far, but the contractor is only half way done. The contractor stated it was difficult to install this flooring and he is an experienced contractor. The flooring boards keeps chipping and the snap-in sides are breaking. He hasn’t finished but has already set aside over 25 broken boards that are not useable. I’m glad we factored in 20% extra instead of a standard 10%. I would encourage you to definitely purchase extra. Hopefully it lasts! We are definitely disappointed about all the broken boards but trying to keep an open mind about the product.
Looks great, but has a fishy smell after installing.
The floors look great in my spare bedroom in shorehouse. They were really easy to install. I went to the house 2 weeks after installing and the room smelled fishy. There was never an odor in this room before. A few Google searches and I am leaning towards it is off gassing of formaldehyde. If that stops soon ill be happy with the product, if it continues to smell I might have to rip it all up.
We had purchase Home Legend Stranded Bamboo with attached underlayment. WHAT A MISTAKE. We ended up taking it back as it was defective. We bought this and put it down in the same area as we put the other defective floor in half the time because the floor was made so well. The inter-locking pieces went together like they should. What a difference in quality. We purchased the FloorMuffler underlayment, and it was also easy to lay. Both made in the USA! In the attached image, those are not footprints. It is the light reflecting on the floor.
Im so happy I purchased these floors! I originally purchased centennial oak, but saw these in store and knew these would be a better option. I read the medioce reviews, but still went with my gut and had these installed by a contractor friend. He said they were super easy to install and only took 2 days for our entire home. I one million percent recommend these floors.
