Best part about this light is the glass shade...I had gotten one before that has the fabric shade, and it is no near as classy as the glass....the only thing I don't like about this light is the cord....ugh....why?? I know they can hide the cord in the wire lines, so knowing that, I am never happy seeing a cord! I think if your on a budget you deal with the cord....but if you can afford not to....DO!

I bought two of these pendants to put over my dining table. They are well made and look awesome installed. I know that some reviewers didn’t like the fact that the electrical cord is kind of loose and swirled around before it enters the ceiling plate but, in my opinion it just adds character to the overall finish of the fixture. It is meant to be a contemporary modern fixture with a mix of classic flare in the drum shade. If you don’t like the wire loose it can be pulled up through the ceiling plate. Again, I think this takes away from the overall look but, to each their own. I can’t comment on the ease of the installation other than to say our electrician had no problems with it at all. The only reason we hired an electrician was because we had to have a second junction box added to the ceiling since there was only one light there before with one junction box. We decide to just have them installed since he was here already. We are super happy with the result and highly recommend this pendant.

It has a nice modern and contemporary appearance and goes well in any room

My contractor installed this and said it was difficult. He usually is pretty quick putting together items and installing but this took some time. Once it is up, beautiful light for a great price!

Beautiful lamp! Classy! It is very hard to install, the wires are very long and you have to shorten them. But it is all worth it!

Pretty light, like there is no exposed bulbs, wish it was a little easier to shorten the height. Modified the wiring so it hangs down the center, not tethered to steel cable.

Unfortunately the chandelier could not be used because the electric box was not centered over the table and the chandelier cannot be swagged. My bad in not noticing before my purchase. Returned shortly after receiving.

I got this to match the semi flush mounted ones I got. They really look great together. Got this in the kitchen area. The polished glass is what I love about them.

I am very pleased with this light, especially because it has dimming capability. You are also able choose the size of the light with the cabling.

This light did not disappoint. Looks expensive, very classy, simple but elegant, I just love it! Just FYI, you can adjust the wire cord taut, so that it goes straight up not wavy for a more streamlined look.

the Bourland 3-Light Polished Chrome Pendant with Polished Glass Drum Shade was shipped in the retail box. It comes partially assembled, the main light fixture is connected to the 3 wires that it hangs from and the power cord that run to the mount base that they hang from. the glass must be put in the fixture main section. The sockets look to be ceramic with metal covers, it takes standard bulbs , led bulbs can be used, if the bulbs are dimmer compatible a dimmer can be used with this fixture. the main light fixture assembly is made of metal, it hangs from small steel cables, the ceiling mount base is also metal, and it has metal mounting brackets to mount to the box. the steel cables can be shortened, the procedure is listed in the instructions. it has standard 3 wire connections, hot, return and earth ground. their are instructions with pictures in multiple languages.

i Like it, t looks nice.....its pretty bright...........my only issue is the dangling cord. it seems like they could have figured out a way to hide it into the wires that the light hangs from....i ended up leaving it the way it was and it has gotten some compliments regardless. Def has a more modern look than the 1980's chandelier i replaced with it.....if you want a nice ceiling light and dont want to blow a ton of money this will suffice

Wow, what a pretty light fixture. Super easy to install, for the average DIYer like me..always easier with a friend helping you too (since it weighs about 7 pounds)...Typical wiring schematics. It can hang as long as about 77 inches. I am not a fan of the big spiraling cable, but when done right, it looks great. This light fixture takes 3 60w bulbs. I used LEDs and it is very bright, but you can also rig a dimmer switch if you want to set the mood. I love the pieces of chrome on the shade. Adds a modern touch to this contemporary look. The shade itself is offwhite and warm. I really love this light and hope to get the matching flushmount shade that they sell as well!!!

Nice looking light fixture! I like how it hangs from the three steel cables. Assembly is required, and it isn't necessarily intuitive. Fortunately, the instructions are clear enough, and it goes together without any problems. Actual installation in the ceiling box is straight forward; wiring is standard, hardware is standard. The instructions say to use incandescent or CFL bulbs, but I put some LED bulbs in and they work fine.

This light is cursed. Legitimately cursed. The first one we bought had a broken glass piece. Not a big deal as I understand things happen during shipping. I return it to Home Depot and they swap it out. Opening up the second one reveals all 3 glass panels fully intact and I set about putting it all together. Upon shortening the 3 metal guy wires I find out that 2 of the 3 don't lock and therefore it will not work. I return it to Home Depot and they swap it out. I have just opened the THIRD light, only to find that the metal brackets that hold the glass pieces together are missing along with the ceiling mounting hardware. I will return this to Home Depot and I will never ever attempt this again.

Very pretty, however, the bottom glass does not sit like it shows in the picture. The screw inside is short so the bottom glass sits higher and the bottom screws on the inside of glass show. It's fine and not offensive looking but we spent over an hour trying to figure out what were were missing. We ended up getting a longer screw from the hardware store that was the same diameter.
