This is a quality product that looks like real wood. We are installing ourselves and the snap together design isn't quite as easy as it sounds. Overall a very well made product that met all our expectations for a pleasing floor upon completion.

Very unhappy
We purchased a new home and took out carpet and replaced entire house with the Universal Oak flooring. The color looks lovely but we are so disappointed in how easily it scratches. We have scratches all over the house, in ever room. We put pads under all our furniture but still everyday living causes scratches. My husband slid a shoe box across the room and it scratched! We are also having issues with the planks separating and warping where our oil heater is. The separations are happening all over the house as well. New flooring was our most expensive piece in the budget and being so disappointed feels terrible. I can't even imagine tearing it all up for new floors now that all our furniture is in the house or the thought of the expense to do so. I would not recommend this Home Depot brand of flooring. Go with a more reliable brand. We filed a claim with the manufacturer and they only replied that the floors are "scratch resistant" not "scratch proof".

This flooring was adversities as scratch resistant however, after less than three months of normal wear on the floor (i.e. scooting chairs in and out from under the table, moving end tables to clean) it is horribly scratched. A floor should be able to endure normal life and this one does not.

Loved it. The original purchase included matching quarter round. It was unavailable for the second purchase. The manufacturer recommended another replacement, and it looks just as great. The Home Depot chat rep was AMAZING in reaching out to the manufacturer and had the new item ordered and delivered in no time. Laid this floor in 2 hours and I'm no carpenter by any means!!! THANKS!!!

We love the flooring and it was relatively easy to install right over the existing ugly, yet well installed, tile that was on the bathroom floor. We needed less than the recommended amount of planks so we returned one whole box after we were finished. Don't hesitate to buy this!!

        new basement flooring!
This flooring is so beautiful! My husband, and I installed it throughout our basement. We did put a 2-in-1 underlayment, over the concrete, so it wouldn’t sound too “tappy”. I am glad we did. I love the lighter look, but it definitely takes on a gray tone, and not too yellow. Just what i was looking for. I didnt want a whitewashed look, and this is more of a natural look. Also, I highly reccomend the Roberts pro installation kit. It just makes the process so much easier, and gets all the pieces nice and snug. You wont regret this flooring, especially since the price is very good, and it has a lifetime warranty!

Just replaced the flooring in my parents kitchen and entryway with this product. Have been replacing flooring in my own home with same product just a different color. I really love the look of this flooring. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that we had a couple of panels in different boxes that were thicker than the rest of the panels so they would not interlock properly. It does take practice to get the best interlock but once you get it down it is really easy. The picture attached shows how you can lay it right over your existing flooring. If you are looking for a great looking floor at a decent price this is the way to go.

We pulled up 30-year old sheet vinyl in laundry room and replaced it with these planks. Relatively easy to install. Simple to cut by scoring the vinyl and bending it until it snaps. It sweeps up effortlessly and seems to be scratch resistant. I moved a dryer on the floor and it didn't leave any marks. Having a washing machine installed tomorrow which will be the big test. Only ding is at least one board in each box was damaged on one end. Depending on the damage and your layout, you still may be able to cut off the damaged end and use the board.

This product is a great alternative to hardwood and/or engineered planks when you have a limited budget. Would have given it 5 stars, but since I have just installed it into my rental property, it will take some time to discover its durability relative to the price point. One deciding factor is that this material is 4mm giving it the density and strength required for real living.

I installed this in a hall bath. I like this because it is inexpensive and looks really nice. Most people don't notice immediately that it is not a continuation of our hardwood floor and it is a very close color match. Once installed, it is very solid and looks very nice. It has a few drawbacks though. One is that it is impossible to slide pieces once they are locked together. This meant I had to first lock several pieces together, then slide the big slab of planks into place under the door jambs. The pieces unlock easily if they are not held completely flat. And because it is so thin, the interlocking tabs can easily be broken. I was also only able to install the planks in one direction. The tongues must insert down and then lock into the groove. I could not get the groove to insert under the tongue and lock into place without lifting both boards which caused the first board to unlock on the other side. Maybe some more practice? Another is that you have to really watch the patterns so you don't put a repeating pattern next to another. Even though the pattern looks like 3-3/4" boards the planks are 7-1/2" wide. Each plank makes it looks like someone installed two boards of the exact same size next to each other, instead of staggering them like normal hardwood flooring. In spite of those issues, my wife and I are very happy with the product and plan to use more in an upstairs bath. The photo emphasizes the color and gloss mismatch to our hardwood, but in person it is much less noticeable.

Read all the reviews, bought one box to check it out, then ordered enough for our project. Love this product. My husband and I have never laid vinyl plank floor before. We installed in a great room 22 x 20 and adjacent sitting room 12 x 15. A little hard to get started but found a tip, put screws in the first row right next to the wall so it doesn't move while you are joining the next couple rows. Remove screws when finished, the little holes hide under the floor trim board. Set your corners in and slide the plank into the click channel at a low angle, about 10°. Corners are the key to keeping everything flush and square. The planks don't click together per se, but they join tight with a little pressure and the seam is smooth and even. We tapped all of ours in with a rubber mallet at the joining corner and short seam, walked on the long seam. I bought a little hand seam roller but you don't need it and it really doesn't work well. Our floors had some slight dips and bows, floor went down fine. We are very happy, lots of compliments from friends. If one plank does not seem to click in just grab another. We had maybe 5 planks that just didn't sit well, pulled a new plank- smooth as silk. We had 30 boxes delivered to the door, immaculate shipping condition, nothing broken or dented. In my husband's words, we are rank amateurs but this floor looks great!

I love this product. It looks great and real, and I found it easy to install. The available wood trim made it easy to give a "finished" look where the plank transitions into carpet. Only thing I would say is be sure to fit the planks together carefully. It's easy to bend or break if not aligned properly. However, after you do a couple it becomes easier. This is the first vinyl plank floor I have installed, and I've had it down for about a year now. It looks just as good as the day I installed it.

Very nice flooring - foot friendly & a damp mop once a week is all you need to keep it looking new. This was a bathroom with no windows, so a white vinyl material with a light hickory vanity (also from Home Depot), is a perfect match.

This is a great floor there is a little learning curve and the first three rows are slow going but once you get the hang of locking the planks the project becomes easy. I would have a laminate tool kit handy it helps in corners. People that have seen this floor can not believe a 63 year old lady and her 37 year old son put this in. Of course he was on his knees not me. We did the whole house! You will need to cut the door jams we used the Ridged Home Depot multi tool this worked great!

Product was easy to install and really looks great. I did have an issue with 3 of the tiles buckling about a week after installation. I had to remove those planks and replace them with new ones. It looks like those planks were either defective or they may have been damaged in shipment. The edge with the seal flipped up and allowed the planks to unseal and buckle. I am going to watch them for another week or so and then I will return them to Home Depot for credit. Product looks great and I would recommend them to anyone. My installation was on a screen, covered pourch, and really dressed up that area.

            Beautiful!
I love this floor. It is rustic in texture like old wood, but rich in color. My only complaint is that some of the pieces were damaged. But the floor is durable and holds up great! Wonderful for high traffic areas.

We purchased roughtly 600sq ft to redo the main level in our house, thanks to a dog that doesn't always remember that the bathroom is outside, and a toddler who I am sure will spill everything in the coming years. It was a debate between wood/laminate/and vinyl plank. Because real wood doesn't hold up well to water damage (seen this first hand) and laminate tends to swell thanks to water damage, this was the only good option left. Others have said they had a hard time getting this in, but honestly I had an easier time of this then I did getting the Shaw plank installed in the bathroom. The trick, for me, was fitting the long side first, then turning it to a 45 degree angle, and sliding it into the corner of the prior plank. If that made sense. Then laying it down, tap the short seam with a mallet, and then using a block and mallet, watching the long seam disappear as I tapped it into place. Between removing the nasty unknown age carpet, the toddler, putting down an underlayment for extra cushion, and cutting around closet door hardware; the 200ish sq ft front room took three days. It has already survived a dog digging at it, the toddler spilling food/water/juice and the dog testing it out. I love the fact that the texture of this plant means scratches just blend in; although even taking a key to it I haven't scratched it yet. I am very happy, and the look is that of authentic wood. We opened prob 6-8 boxes total for this room, and there's not a ton of repeat. At least not enough that I can spot them during my morning coffee. There are some, but that's to be expected, but def not as much as I would've expected considering I can spot three of the same knots in the 90ft Shaw bathroom upstairs. I will be installing the rest in the house, once I have recovered enough to do so.

The flooring looks great when installed. You just have to be careful when installing that you don't knick the edge of the planks so that the wood look layer stays intact. Have used it in both of our bathrooms and would use it again.

Installed this floor yesterday. Once I figured out that I needed to use a tapping block on each piece, no matter what, it went down quick and easy. The floor has beautiful patterns and feels great under your feet. We put it in the kitchen, hopefully it's durability is as good as it looks. We chose to do a pattern with three different colors. Not sure I completely like the pattern we chose, but it's done so we will live with it!!!
