I replaced my Hampton bay ceiling fan , it was easy to assemble and since bought on deal it was a good price for ceiling fan with remote and LED light . It was tricky to get the remote control unit put in the limited space , need to again remove the wires and arrange them differently to achieve this . Over all great fan with great price.

Looks great. Clean modern finish. LED light is super bright which is what I needed in this room but could be too bright for a bedroom, depends on what you need. It has a low hum but nothing to complain about. Bottom line, I would buy it again.

Don’t buy. Unless you don’t mind this breaking down on you 6 years later. Like the other reviewers have pointed out the LED light will all of sudden start flickering all the time while on. It’s flick on and off intensely fast nonstop. It’s startling. What a waste of money this was.

To put it simply: Buy another fan. The fan looks cute and is cheaper than other alternatives. BUT the humming noise it makes is REALLY LOUD. We can hear it from the other side of the house and much worse in the room and near rooms. It is not worth it. We've spent hours trying to fix it, the wiring, the remote, and just read the reviews... I should have done this earlier. Everyone complains about the same thing... Loud humming noise. Just choose another fan.

Love it and it was perfect for our large bedroom!

Worked good for awhile and then the light started to flicker. Sometimes the light would come on by itself in the middle of the night. The module in the fan says "incandescent only" (see photo) this will not work properly with an LED light. Do not buy!!!

Bought one of these a few months ago. The LED light flickers and sometimes turns on by itself in the middle of the night. I took the remote module out (see photos) and see that these modules are for incandescent lights only! No wonder there are so many problems with these fans. Anyone who bought one of these should be able to get a full refund no matter how old they are. Thanks Hone Depot. Maybe a class action lawsuit is in the future.

I like the fans appearance and functions but the light kit began to flicker when adjusted to max illumination, very annoying rapid flicker. I called for tech support, they said the light kit was out of stock and advised me to return the fan. It's a lot of work to install and uninstall a ceiling fan. Very disappointed.

I reviewed almost every fan offered by Home depot and saved three for my wife to select. We wanted a fan that incorporated LED lighting and no pull chains. This fan has beautiful styling lines and all the items included that we were looking for. We purchased two fans and I installed them myself. The instructions were excellent and easy to follow. I have light switches for both functions so I can turn on the lights and fans separately. We love the look and the functionality of these fans and I would highly recommend them for purchase.

I love the look of the fan but it is annoyingly loud. I initially tried Museum Gel to try silence the metal canopy from striking the motor housing. That didn’t work in the Texas heat- it would melt. Next I used furniture floor protection pads around the bottom of the canopy and that did not consistently work. For now we have stuffed socks all around the canopy with varying success. Overall, I am greatly disappointed. We delayed installing the fan and it is too late to return. I have never had such a loud ceiling fan- it keeps us from sleeping it is so loud. Aside from the noise, I would be happy with it, but at this point it is a deal breaker. I wish I could submit a video to demonstrate the problem.

Love the profile of this fan, and the remote is a great bonus!

The fan is very pretty, gets very bright and pretty dim, and the 3 speeds are perfect for our needs. We got them in white, and the gaps in the housing unit appear larger in person. My mom has this fan in bronze, and the gaps are much much less noticeable. I didn't want dramatic ceiling fans, was looking for something that kinda blended in with the ceiling, and these are perfect! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT GREAT. I was missing the screws for the remote control hanger, so instead of buying more fans, taking the missing parts from the new boxes, and returning the new boxes like I am inclined to do, I called the number on the manual for missing parts. After two phone calls with home decorators, both AT LEAST AN HOUR long for stupid screws, I still have not received them after 2 weeks. Not sure if I ever will, the last phone call was disconnected and I'm not going to do the wait again. I've tried using other screws to hang the remotes but they scratch up the back of the remotes. Remotes tend to get lost easily in our house so I'm trying my best to keep track 'til I have a home for them!

Wow! Looks great and great price! The light is quite bright for an LED and is dimmable! That was a nice surprise.

I love this ceiling fan. It works great, it’s quiet and it gives me more than enough cool air to sleep through the night. My fiancé installed it. The only issue he had was figuring how to place the remote sensor (I think that’s what it’s called) when installing. I plan to purchase more for the other rooms in my house.

Have 3 of these fans, installed about 4 years ago. They look nice and the low profile LED light was really what I was looking for. The motor noise is higher than I'd like but tolerable. The LED fixture started flickering on one of the units a month ago. Trying to find a replacement unit is nearly impossible unless you are willing to call Hampton Bay/Home Depot or whoever actually services this line. And I hear prices of $60! I assume that is for the entire dome/mount/heatsink/LED module assembly. I was able to find just the electronic LED board for $20 + $5 shipping at an electronics parts catalog site DigiKey.com If you can desolder and re-solder the two power leads of the quick connector from the old board to the new board, you can save quite a few dollars over an entire light assembly. Part # is: SMJD-2V16W2P3-HA Manufacturer: Seoul Semiconductor Inc. Description: LED MOD HB 120V WHT Remove the light assembly by twisting counter-clockwise. Unclip the power supply quick-connector. Using a thin flat-blade screwdriver and a squeezing motion on the dome cover, pry up the cover and remove. Make a note of the orientation of the key-hole of the mounting plate in relation to the LED board (take a picture). There are 3 clear plastic phillips screws holding the LED board to the dome connection plate and heatsink/mount. Remove 2 and leave the third just loose enough to slide the board out. Be careful to not strip the screw heads. I'm guessing they used plastic screws to avoid the potential to inadvertently ground the metal plate to the LED board. The metal mounting adapter will also flop around a bit. Use an electronics soldering iron to desolder the black (hot) and white (neutral) wires from the old LED board. Re-solder to the new board. Be sure to observe the same polarity. Re-attach the new LED board to the heatsink/mount/connection plate and carefully tighten plastic screws. The power supply quick connector should go through the hole on the LED board, through the connection plate and out the back side. Snap the plastic dome back onto the plate. Re-connect the quick connector to the mate in the fan motor base and reattach the light assembly by turning clockwise.

This os my second unit. First unit the lamp failed after 4 months...luckily still under warrwanty and HD gave me a replacemet. Replacement lamp burned out after 5 months. The thing is once the lamp burns out you cant replace it! It is not a bulb, it is an led circuit board. Not wanting to replace mu cwiling lamp every few months I am giving up on this brand (HD brand) and going with something else. Waste of time and money!

Think Twice before buying anything that has a integrated light. Bought 2 for new house build 3 years ago, 1 light started to flicker, spent several hours on the phone with Home Depot and Harbor Breeze to find out our 17W lights was no longer available so we had to buy (2) 14W replacements for a cost of $127.66 for 2 lights otherwise 1 would be dimmer than the other. It is a great fan, moves a lot of air and light is bright but replacement parts cost are way to high. They should have recalled the 17W lights and replaced them all for free since they know they have a problem with them and discontinued them. No more Harbor Breeze anything for me. FOOL ME ONCE!!

Easy to install. Very little wobble when running on high. Love that the light is dimmable from the remote.

This 52 in. LED fan features brushed nickel with five blades that are reversible with dark walnut or medium maple. Instructions are clear and easy to follow along, even for someone who has never put up a ceiling fan before. Included is all the hardware needed to install, along with extra wiring running from the fan motor. The led light is bright, has a homy feel to it. Upon installation, appeared more of a spot light, with a cool day bright color light (slight yellowish). I have to say that this fan is super quite, but once on high, it's a whirlwind inside. :) Highly recommend if you are needing a brushed nickel fan.

If the LED lighting component fails (which it will eventually), you have to order an entire replacement component. You can't just replace a bulb. And it is always on backorder. I've been waiting over two months for a replacement and it is less than a year old.

Contrary to what "ryan" from China says, this unit can only be connected to ONE wall switch! You cannot have the fan on one switch and the light on the other. Light dimming and fan speed are adjusted only from the controller. When the wall switch is turned on and off, the fan and light resume where they were last set. Fan comes well balanced and I did not need to install the balancing hardware. If unit could be controlled by two wall switches, which I was led to believe by the questions and answers, I would have given this product five stars.

Really nice design and quiet. When we installed it we came to find the transmitter in the unit was not working. We called and the company agreed that was problem and they would replace it. Received a new transmitter within 4 days. Works great.

We liked this fan in our old home so much that we bought two more for our new home. We've had the fans installed for four months and they work perfectly at all 3 speeds - move lots of air, are reasonably quiet, and provide a very good light on the highest setting. Our only complaint is that the light intensity is hard to control; you can't tell when you've reached the high or low end of the range and it's easy to overshoot the setting you want. Still a very good buy in spite of this annoyance.

I wish I read the reviews of this fan in more detail. We have an 8 foot ceiling so we needed a low profile fan for our master bedroom. We were replacing a Hunter fan that did not have a light kit and our room was too big to rely on lamps. We chose this Petersford fan because of its low profile and beautiful design. The install took longer than expected and initially, we could not get the fan to work but admittedly, the old fan was installed to a dimmer (although it did not actually work) and the instructions clearly state that it should not be installed with a dimmer. It was easy enough to buy a new switch for a few bucks but when we finally got the fan to work, we were blinded by the light! During the daytime, it was not as evident but at night, it was not only bright white but concentrated and did not light up the entire room. Therefore, it casted creepy shadows on the walls. Someone mentioned it was like being in a dentist office or an operating room and I think that's pretty accurate. You can see it in the review photos but I figured it was just bad cameras but it's not! Furthermore, since we have it in our master bedroom, it is very harsh on the eyes when we are laying in bed. The light can be dimmed by holding down the light button on the remote control but even at the dimmest setting, the light is too bright to look towards. The light kit is custom/proprietary as far as I can tell so there does not seem to be an option to change the temperature of the bulb. If we turn on our lamps, which have warm light, it seems to dampen the harshness but the whole reason we wanted to replace the fan was so that we could have ceiling light. We now regret buying the ceiling fan but unfortunately, we bought it awhile ago and did not get around to installing it for months and we are stuck with it! As far as the fan function, it is quiet and moves air well. Again, it is beautiful but the light kit is a huge disappointment.

This fan is perfect for our Living room. Has the perfect airflow and dimmable light is Awesome! Very sleek and stylish. Absolutely love this fan and we Love Home Depot! Thank you.

I’ve installed a lot of fans. This one I put in my kids rooms. Moves good amount of air. Looks nice and quiet. Has good amount of lighting. I’m very pleased with these fans

This fan is beautiful. This fan seems convenient because of the remote and light. But there’s a HUGE issue with the installation: the sensor for the remote is too big for the piece it is supposed to fit in flush against the ceiling. We were able to attach the top part successfully without the sensor (and even then it took a lot of effort) but there is no conceivable way to fit the remote sensor without cutting into the ceiling. And you can’t omit it because it’s the only way to control the fan and light. After several hours of trials and failures, we looked up a YouTube video to try to help us and found tons of content about the huge design issue with this fan, all encouraging to just return it and purchase a different fan. That’s what I’ll be doing. Incredibly disappointed.
