Other reviews noted that the remote receiver is a tight fit into the bracket, and it is. That's why I installed it NEXT to the bracket. The fan looks far better than the one I removed and flows air without effort. On the lowest setting, it really feels as if there's a breeze blowing through the living room and the dimmable light is a welcome addition.

Tidal Breeze Ceiling Fan is aerodynamically designed to quietly move air at near supersonic speeds of over 5700 cubic feet per minute. The three fan blades are each slightly tilted upward and resemble none other than an airline propeller. It looks absolutely gorgeous in the silver finish. To top it all off, an integrated 14-Watt LED light is included. There is no better light source than an LED. It gives such a clean, bright light than is superbly energy efficient and lasts almost forever. The ceiling fan is remotely controlled, so it's placement is very versatile. It's modern and sleek. The entire unit is made from high quality materials with expert craftmanship. I expect it to last a lifetime. The instructions were straightforward and simple to follow. Assembling the fan was easy. There was a real installation challenge with the supplied bracket, however. Perhaps a more standard bracket could be included for us novices to use.

You'll need a large junction box for this ceiling fan. This was not easy to install. Ceiling fans do sometimes require a larger than normal electrical box, but this one in particular is a special case. You also will have to find room to accommodate the large receiver for the remote control. This ceiling fan is very quiet and nearly silent on the low and medium settings. I have it installed in my master bedroom and find these two settings more than adequate. The high setting makes a quiet helicopter like noise. It is not too loud, but still noticeable. The high setting really really moves the air though. Enough to blow papers and hair around. The light is also very, very bright. The ceiling fan is controlled by remote control only and does not have pull chains. You should be able to buy universal remotes to have more than one remote though. The only thing not controlled on the remote is the direction that the blades move. The fan by default comes in "winter" mode with the blades turning opposite direction. You must manually flip the switch under one of the white cover plates.

Let me start by saying that This fan is not only one of the most beautiful fans that I have ever owned, it was by far the easiest fa I have ever installed. Lets talk about appearance first: Its seamless and looks so smooth with how its made. The white really pops, and looks fresh and new. I can tell you that this will look great in any room as they have many different colors for this fan. Everything about this fan screams elegance, and is really an eye catcher when you walk into the room. Installation: I have never installed a fan that was so easy ever! The directions were extremely easy to follow, and the pieces went together perfectly. Even the wiring was a breeze (pun intended). This only took me 30 minute to install out of the box, and that is a big plus. Even with the remote receiver, I found this to be a great engineered fan that takes no time at all to assemble and hang. The remote: One of my favorite features about this fan is the remote. Its large enough that you wont need to worry about losing it, and it very easy to use. With a push of the button, you can adjust fan speed and the lighting. I also love that they give you a remote wall hanger to place on the wall for easy access. Instead of using your light switch, you can use the remote instead. Noise level: This fan is extremely quiet as you hear nothing but air movement. I never had a fan that was this quiet, and even on high, there is no motor noise. This allows me to put this on in my two year olds bedroom without waking and/or keeping her up. Build quality: this fan is built very well, but not heavy at all. This is great when you are trying to hang it. You would think that something this light would easily damage, but I actually found my son (6 year old) trying to use pliers on the fan blades when I wasn't looking. Never even left a scratch, even with the sharp teeth of the tool. Why did I only give this 4 stars instead of 5? There was a few reasons that I dropped a star from my rating. The first was that for the price, this fan only offers you the fan speed and light control buttons on the remote. Others fans in this price range allow you dim dim the light, revers blade motion, have fluctuating (automatic) fan speeds, and a few other options all on the remote, but this does not. Its actually very basic when it comes to functionality. Other than that, I absolutely love this fan. I wish the remote was more advanced, but its extremely quiet, and the breeze that this gives off is awesome. I love the smooth, simplistic look of it, and think the LED (not bulb replacement) is soft and warm. The light it's self will last year after year after without needing replaced/fixed. I definitely recommend this fan!

This is a sleek looking and smooth running fan with a dimmable LED light. Both fan and light are controlled by a remote and there are no manual switches or controls for them. I replaced the ceiling fan in my younger son's bedroom and this one is so much better looking and quieter than the old one. Installation was easy. I purchased a 2 foot down rod as the 4" one that came with the fan was too short for our high ceilings. The fan came with a balancing kit but it was not needed; the fan runs quiet and smooth with absolutely no wobble. One minor thing; I did not see where the fan direction can be reversed but I don't think that is a big deal as we usually keep our ceiling fans blowing downward anyway. Great looking and operating fan! My son loves the remote!

    Very nice
Finally got here by FedEx today so is rain on and off so good time to install the fan. Nice set of instructions only thing I don't agree with is installing the blades as step two. I have install 100's of fans in my 30 years as an finish electrician (mainly, also rough but like finish best) an have always installed fan blades after the motor is installed, 1. makes fan much easier to handle and wire as blades not I the way, 2 big change of damaging the blades while trying to work around them and in between them, bump into them, lean on them etc. So anyway finish instruction and put up mounting bracket, hang fan in bracket, install remote and wire, put on fan blades install light (LED) fan is installed. But battery in remote and mount the holder and is all good to go. (blade direction switch is behind the couping cover) turn on light is very bright and dimmable, fan has three speeds all works great. Great air movement so am happy, is very well balanced with no wobble really really happy.

Fan was pretty simple to install minus the fact that one of the steps was in the wrong sequence. The light is brighter than I expected so I'm glad that you can dim it. The only thing I worry about is the light not working because it's not like you can just go an grab a new bulb.

    Tropical look. Awesome!
Great looking. Well made with quality materials and design. It took about an hour with one person taking down old fan and putting up this one. The remote is preset so nothing to do there. The light is very bright and we dimmed for our needs. It is very quiet with great air flow. It comes with slanted and regular down rod which shows the company has thought out individual needs of the consumer. The 52" fan will cool a large room with no problems. It is a amazing fan and should last a long time.

    Great fan
This fan is really great, and I was a little hesitant about the fan only having 3 blades but it definitely gives a good air flow, the span of the fan blades is very large, 56 inches which is longer then your standard span for many fans we looked at on line. This is great for a large Florida room, which needs a big strong fan to cool it. The light is an LED so it's really bright. It's pretty flush on the fan also which makes it look pretty modern.

    Modern look, moves air well
This fan a modern looking silver color fan, although the description indicates the color is white. It has three airplane style ABS plastic blades, which frankly look plastic, but look OK when matched to the silver motor unit. The unit comes with both a 4.5 and 6 inch down rods. To install, mount the hanging bracket to the ceiling junction box, which should be a fan rated box. You then install the remote module if you plan on using it, install the blades, and hang the unit to complete the electrical connections and install the LED light module. You can chose to use the remote module or your existing fan control switches. The remote control unit is fairly large, and controls both the light on/off/dim and the fan speed, on/off. The light is a 14 watt LED single bulb unit, and throws off plenty of white. It’s more a bright white color than warm. It’s a 56 inch fan and moves plenty of air on high. The fan runs smoothly and quietly, and the motor has a lifetime warranty.

    Excellent!
I put this in a 20x20 master bedroom. I wanted a fan to circulate air because all the vents on the ceiling on the far wall. This fan works very well! INSTALLATION: Very quick! Take your old light/fan off. Screw on the anchor piece, put together the blades and hang it up. Once up you can do all the wiring without having to hold it up. The wires are self explanatory and the remote works easily enough. I decided to go without the remote and hardwire in to my ceiling. I had preinstalled a red and black wire with two switches on the wall so it was ready to do that. I called customer service to see how that would work and they said it was fine (red to blue and black to black.) LOOK: The silver color looks plasticy up close, but on the ceiling it looks fantastic. I would have liked it to be a little more metallic looking. But the large fan blades and the included embedded light look great. The remote is ugly and large (also why I didn't use it.) It is old PC yellow grey colored and fat, thick and tall. This is the weakest part of this great fan. OVERALL: Once up and running, without the remote, this is a great fan. I'd have liked the ability to change out the color of the light (5000k is what it comes with but I prefer warmer 2700k) and a WiFi or ZWave connection rather than a remote based on decades old technology. But I'm very happy with this even with the flaws.

First motor was DOA, very nice looking fan though
First, let me say the fan itself looks wonderful. The wood look all the way up to the ceiling cap is very good, and the LED provides nice bright, even light throughout the bedroom. Installation was simple, but be aware that the remote receiver unit is a VERY tight squeeze into the mount. You will need to be meticulous with wire management while you're connecting the wires to the supply or you won't be able to fit the receiver into the mount, which is between the fan post and the ceiling electrical box. Once assembled, the fan has sleek, clean lines and curves from the bottom to the top. You'll receive many compliments, to be sure. Unfortunately, the fan motor on the unit I initially received was dead on arrival. The light worked and dimmed wonderfully, but the motor just clicked and hummed without actually turning the blades at any speed setting. That said, support was very friendly and well-spoken. I am confident the replacement will be fully functional when it arrives. Otherwise, I would rate this a 5-star fan.

This is the 3rd Minka Aire ceiling fan installed in our residence. We love it! Minka Aire is only brand of ceiling fan I will purchase. As others are replaced, Minka Aire gets put in. These fans are efficient, quiet, attractive and reasonably priced for the high quality received. On this particular one, since it is in a large pitched ceiling great room, the 36" downrod was used. I love the LED light. it is bright when placed on high output. It does not hang down, but instead is molded into the motor housing. Looks great.

AWESOME! Love the wood ... blends well with our dressers
We had our electrician install this fan in our bedroom yesterday. He asked where we find such beautiful, unique and quality fans. I was happy to say Home Depot. We installed a Hampton Bay wall switch with the remote that came with the fan. Only caution is to set any fans in your home at DIFFERENT frequencies. Otherwise the remote may activate the wrong fan. This fan brings excellent air movement. The light is VERY BRIGHT ... and we couldn't get a dimmer to work. The remote stays on our bed between the pillows. Easy to get air movement without getting up. This unit is gorgeous and very functional. A little tough to install ... tight quarters for getting the screws in place.

    nice......but
This is a great looking fan, with a bright (non dim able) light. It includes everything needed for installation (except detailed instructions). The instructions are more like 1 picture that shows where the pieces go. That's about it. You are supposed to put it together completely AND THEN INSTALL IT. Not and easy feat when working by yourself. I installed the motor first and put the blades on after it was hung. The control box for the remote slides into where the hanging bracket is, the problem there is the wires are in the way, but they can be moved enough for it to fit. The remote is rather big, but that way it doesn't get lost. The fan is quiet, which is nice, and moves a lot of air. I would recommend this fan if you are having someone else install it, or have a second set of hands helping, but not if you are planning on doing it by yourself.

    High quality ceiling fan
This ceiling fan was easy to install and came with all needed hardware. Tools are required and not included. A basic understanding of electrical may be needed but not required. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. The fan itself looks very classy and works amazingly. It has three diffenert speeds. There is a LED light that is bright and lights up a room. The ceiling fan comes with a remote control and a holder to attack to the wall. Great ceiling fan!

Quiet, Efficient, Well made, Easy to Install
The fan when it arrives comes in a small box, easy to carry and well organized. The instructions can use some improvement since they weren't too clear but it was an easy installation anyway. I had my 20 year old install the fan while I was supervising of course and he thought it was easy to do. The design is modern and it is very quiet when operating. I really like that the light can be set at my desired brightness. It is just awesome not to have those two chains hanging from the fan anymore. Welcome to the new way of Led light and remote control fan. The light is warm and is super bright at a 100 percent brightness.

    High Powered Modern Ceiling Fan
TIDAL BREEZE 56 IN. LED INDOOR SILVER CEILING FAN High Powered Modern Ceiling Fan I love the look of the TIDAL BREEZE CEILING FAN. And when it's running all you hear is the sound of the blades slicing through the air. Even more impressive is the rock solid stability of the fan, it never wobbles even on high. It comes with a very modern looking remote control that allows you to control both the fan and light from anywhere in your house. (see picture) The remote transmitter and receiver have dip switches which allow you to pick a code that won't interfere with other devices in your home that use RF (see picture). The remote gives you 3 fan speeds and the light control allows you to vary the light from bright to a soft low light. A bracket is included making it easy to mount the remote to a wall. The LED light has a clip to connect the light to the fan and just twists into place. (see picture) The fan comes with two down rods, one is 6 inches and the other is 8 inches. There is enough wire that if you want, you can purchase a longer down rod to suspend the fan up to 3 feet from the ceiling. You can tell that the fan is designed for speed and power. There are four screws per blade to insure they are stable. (see picture) A few installation tips: Be sure to read the instruction all the way through and don't skip a step. In particular you will need to pay close attention to how you thread the Coupling cover, Canopy cover, Canopy and the Hanger ball on the down rod. Special NOTE: If you choose the shortest down rod you will have to remove the hanger ball in order to install the down rod to the fan housing (see picture).

    Silent, excellent light and efficient.
The most important criteria of a working ceiling bedroom fan other than the appearance, is that it is as silent as possible and produces efficient air displacement. This 3 blade 56 in LED Distressed Koa Ceiling Fan is extremely quiet and is wobble-free. The 3 ABS blades are perfectly shaped and the appearance of being made of wood is astoundingly believable. Although the instruction booklet could, in my mind have been better laid out with more precise drawings of the way the pieces fit together. Yes I know how it all goes together, but not everyone has assembled one before. The LED illumination is dimmer controllable from a low 25W to a high equivalent 100W incandescent bulb and is excellent and set on high lights up our 400square foot bedroom easily and along with the 3 speed fan is adjusted via remote control. Dual-mount design for standard or slope ceiling installation is also an excellent option as is the two optional sized down rods. With an affordable price, this ceiling fan is an exceptional addition to the home.

This fan looks great, installation was fairly easy and it operates very quietly in my opinion. The only complaint my husband had was that tucking the wires in at the end was very tight and a bit of a pain but he did that part in just a few minutes regardless. We were installing it in an existing ceiling fan location which had 2 wall switches, one each for the fan function and the light function. We had to choose which switch we were going to "lose" i.e. it would no longer function (that wire you cap). We chose to lose the light switch and have to keep the fan switch in the on position at all times and just use the remote to turn on the fan and light. I love that you can dim the light to a very low setting (and it will remember that and come on at the same setting) and the low speed setting of the fan is perfect, much lower than our previous fan. That said, the high speed is plenty robust enough for our living room. This fan looks modern and elegant, I couldn't be happier!

    Looks great, functional
Installation is straightforward, no surprises. There's an option to mount it flush to the ceiling if you attach it to a standard 8' ceiling. Overall quality is very good. Blades are ABS plastic, but at normal distance they look like wood. I installed it in a 400+ sq ft bedroom, and it gives good air flow. The motor is super quiet, which is important in a bedroom, because you hear everything at night. There's no noticeable hum or other weird noises at normal distance. All the controls are run through the remote, including the light dimmer and speed control. It's really handy in the bedroom, you can control it without getting up, turn off the light, etc. The remote itself is thin and compact. The light is an integrated LED, and is has a nice warm color. It's about 3000K, which is about the same as an old-school light bulb. At full brightness it's about like a 100W bulb; on full dim I would say it's like a 25W bulb. So it has a good range. It's nice to know that you probably won't ever have to change it either. Overall really pleased with this fan, and would definitely recommended it if this is your style.

Look Ma! No pull chains! No reverse switch either :(
One look at the Tidal Breeze ceiling fan and you can see that it is designed for a contemporary decor. We have a spare bedroom which we keep all of our computer equipment in so it fits right in there. I've installed maybe a half a dozen ceiling fans in the past, this one is fairly easy. The instructions, however, start off with installing the fan blades. Never have I ever installed a ceiling fan wherein I installed the fan blades first and I would not recommend doing so. Aside from that, the main installation involves 6 easy-to-follow steps, plus wiring and installing the 14.5 watt LED. The LED looks to be proprietary to the fan. I doubt that you would find a replacement at the neighborhood hardware store. With the life expectancy of LED's being what it is, hopefully, it will not be an issue. 4.5 and 6 inch downtube lengths are provided. The motor comes with roughly 7 feet of lead wire. Presumably, for those installing to a vaulted ceiling. The wiring from the motor as well as the remote receiver module are all labeled. I usually install flush mount fans due to past experiences with wobble. This fan comes with blades that are weight-matched together and as you can see in the video, there is zero wobble. This fan with it's 3 - 28" long blades resembles that of a propeller rather than a fan but I confess, I like it. Power to the LED is controlled by the remote. The LED is dimmable through the remote and can be illuminated with or without the fan in operation. There is a memory feature that restores the light to whatever setting that was used last. 16 possible frequency settings can be set in case of interference between the remote and the receiver. Finally, the remote comes with a small cradle that can be mounted to the wall. The one main issue that I have with the fan is that the packaging, as well as the instructions, state that the fan is reversible for Summer or Winter operation. I have found no such setting on the remote to reverse the fan's rotation.

    Very elegant ceiling fan
This is a very elegant ceiling fan. The design of the fan is both contemporary and discreet, with its light silver color finish. It is also quite a sophisticated object to contemplate with its minimalistic propeller-like look. It is neither "fake old" nor "overcomplicated modern" and fits nicely in my Arts and Craft house. It also operates perfectly, as expected, moving the air quietly and the LED is super bright and can be dimmed. The installation is pretty straightforward, although the instructions were, at times a bit limited. A step-by-step video would have made things a bit easier. The last two screws holding the canopy were particularly challenging as they kept fallings into the blades, setting up a laborious operation to rescue them out. In the end, and it was my first ceiling fan installation, I managed to do it without having to call an electrician. So, any average DIYer should be able to tackle the instillation without too many hiccups. The remote control, although useful and perfectly operational, does not project the same level of sophistication as the ceiling fan itself: its dated logo, design, and cheap feeling plastics seem to come from the previous century. In the end, I highly recommend this ceiling fan, mostly for its unique, elegant and attractive design.

    LED lights go out quickly
The fan itself works great and we get awesome airflow. However the LED light goes out so quick! Our home has 6 of these fans so it’s extremely frustrating to have to replace that many lights after just over a year. And to add to the frustration you can’t buy the lights from regular Home Depot store or the manufacturer. You need to call the Home Depot special order department and go from there. They are about 35 dollars to replace IF the manufacturer has them in stock.

The remote control is poorly engineered. it intermittently works. since we have had the fan, there have been times we can’t get it to turn on, nor the light when we need it. Then like magic, it may come on the next day. an electrician installed it, and he even made a comment about the remote being less than it should be.
