Fabulous product, I can’t rave enough about this product. Extra easy to install beautifully built and it puts out cold cold cold. It’s keeping a 12 x 14 area very very cool. In the past I bought a Black & Decker and it was the OK product but this one is over-the-top excellent.

I have been using the unit for 2 days now in a small room (120 sq ft - 12x10 Ft), set the temperature to 71, it never went below 74. The unit is bulky and noise level way higher than advertised. Supposed to be up to 53 db. It is between 68 and 74 Db for my unit. Way too loud.

Arrived in two days. Securely packaged. Easy to install. Like the features, especially the water evaporation. I am handicapped and if I had to empty, it would be very challenging. I put a duct sleeve on hose because I read that was a good idea since hose gets hot and that reflects back into room. That was a little challenging, but is working. Next year, I may order Cool aide sleeve. It looks a lot easier to work with. I put my temperature at 74 and it is very comfortable for me. Have not tried the timer yet, so cannot comment on that. About only problem I have had is the remote came with batteries and they had to be replaced in only a few days. Also, it seems you cannot be more than 5 ft away in order to use the remote, but I am hoping that as I use it more l will solve that problem. All in all I am very pleased with this air conditioner.

It’s much more efficient than the window a/c I had and it’s cools my entire studio apartment.

This AC has some serious design flaws. 1- The window attachment bracket for hung windows when used with the provided extension ends up with uneven top . When you close the window there is huge gap on the extension side side which you will have to use foam and other stuff to fill. 2- The outlet tube has no screen so lizards, birds, ants, and other critters can easily make a home in the exhaust tube. I had to glue a screen mesh to the exhaust outlet to stop the critters. I have no idea what the designer was smoking when he designed this AC. Overall the window exhaust assembly has been made cheaply and without proper planning.

After only 2 weeks in use, it seems to be adequate. Because we have casement rather than sash windows, it cost a more than two hundred dollars more to create proper venting for the exhaust hose, and it is noisier than we would have hoped. Since we will need to use it less than 30 days per year, we are marginally satisfied with the unit's performance. Home Depot's pricing and service was excellent.

Great product! Recommended by a friend...wished I had bought it years ago! Works well...had it for about a month...and price is reasonable, about 350.00.

Fantastic find as a recent "special buy", which influenced my choice of this particular unit. Setup was quick and easy, and this 10,000 BTU unit cools my 450 sf office quickly and well. I bought this during a 100°+ hot spell, and the AC was up to the job! Noise level is probably typical, and compares to a similar Sharp unit we bought a few years ago. Simple functions and a simple remote, which I like. You can also set the AC from the front panel in case you misplace the remote. It serves as a dehumidifier for those who need it (in California, I do not). If used as a dehumidifier, you apparently must occasionally drain the unit via a plug on the back. As with my other AC, since I only use the unit as an AC there is no need to drain anything. The air filter slides out easily for quick cleaning (in water, then dry it off). The air vents on top close down when you aren't using the AC or for storage. The overall size seems slightly smaller than I expected, but I like that (it's a bit more compact that the Sharp 10,000 BTU one I have). The window attachment is easy to set up. It works for either a horizontal up-down type window or alternately with a side opening window. There is an additional window piece you can add on for wider or higher than usual windows. Everything is very nicely made, of good quality. It's worth mentioning that Home Depot's online ordering and shipping is superb...the AC arrived only 2 days after ordering, and shipping was free! Very pleased.

Now I can sleep during this extended heatwave. I want to thank the PRO reviewer that suggested foam insulation tape, cause u need it. I did need to cut about 1/4 inch of the pvc mounting end (But that was simple with my hack saw) that goes into the window for the exhaust. My window is narrow at about 20" wide. I have vinyl double pane windows. I installed the unit in my bedroom. Starts to cool instantly.

this portable ac has been a lifesaver! I have a 2 story condo and the upstairs is extremely hot in the summer in nashville, tn. this ac combined with some darkening curtains has worked great for me! love it and would highly recommend

The air conditioner is easy to use and set up and cools a small room rapidly. with a remote control you do not have to get up to change the settings. May get another one for a different room!

The air conditioner was extremely easy to install. I had it working within minutes from taking it out of the packaging. The only issue I have is that I have it in my home office and it is a 10x10 bedroom with a vaulted ceiling. When the temps got above 100 degrees outside, this little guy could not cool the room down below 78 degrees. While that was enough when I had the fan blowing directly at me, I don't know if it will be enough to keep my computers cool if I get more servers. Thankfully, it does not get that hot in my area that often.

This unit was easy to unpack (though somewhat hefty) and to connect to the window space. The remote control is straightforward as long as you realize that when you push a button and the temperature starts blinking, it indicates the temperature you're setting. You can then change it by pressing the arrow up or down buttons. Then it stops flashing and displays in solid numbers the actual temperature. This a/c is cooling a room about 13 x 15' with a high ceiling, with warm air exiting a skylight with a ceiling fan. Some cool air "sinks" out of the room, down a short corridor into other rooms, and a small oscillating fan does a good job helping cool one secondary room using some of the cooled air. Given what we've read, it's a good idea to turn off this unit after a number of hours so that it doesn't become overtaxed.

This air conditioner performs as stated. Packaging was amazing. It WAS quick to un-box and install. It has a much shorter "standing" period required prior to turning the unit on - 20 min. It is truly portable since it does not screw into the window & casing. The casters are perfect to move this unit easily across carpeting. The unit is lightweight for it's size. Cools well enough for a small bedroom which is what I intended it to be used for. Although the EER was quite high - which should be good - I gasped when my electric bill came in for a month of heavy use. This is the only reason I did not give it 5 stars. I still love this unit, the way it operates and do not regret it's purchase - even with the electric bill. VERY important - it does not drip any water and I still have not had to empty it once.

It worked ok last year. Not the greatest. But it did work. This year it won't even blow anything out. Took the back of the machine off, cleaned the whole inside, cleaned both filters in the back. And yet it still won't blow anything out the top. Beyond frustrated. Especially in this heat wave.

I used it about 6 times last summer. This week when I turned it on for the first time it won’t work.

Rating of 350 sq ft is a lie! It cant even bring temperature below 80 F in a 300 sq ft, sealed, brick garage at night in April. I gave it 2 hours, several nights. it just cant pull it off. Keep it real before you buy, knock about 25% sq ft off any rating you see for any brand because they likely all overrate that much. That said this one might do okay in 250 sq ft or less Everything else was okay.

Convenient and easy to install. However, when the Ac cycles on and off to maintain the temp, it is so loud it’s startling and wakes us from our sleep...that I’d rather turn it off after the room has cooled down and hope I don’t wake up sweating later. I wish I could exchange it for another brand

My mother is using this and is very happy with it. There was some kind of noise the first night, but after an adjustment it went away.

Easy to install and cools very well.

Well this just sucks, when I purchased this on line it shows photos of this air conditioner in the sliding glass door. Now when it arrives today the plastic that goes in the door is too short. So I call Home Depot and there isn't anyone there that knows anything. I must have talk to 10 different people. The last one says oh they don't sell that because of safety reasons, you have to use the short door coverage. Then why do they sell it showing it can go in the sliding class door. No more home depot for me! this really sucks big time. Unhappy customer!
