Excellent product. Works miracles on your butcher block.

I started making cutting boards, but was not sure what I needed to use for a sealent. I had a few people tell me about other products, but nothing gave it that nice shine that you see on the store purchased boards. I seen this being sold everywhere I went, so I picked up a bottle of this and the wax and figu I would give it a shot. As soon as I put this on the board, the maple, walnut and cherry wood came to life. It was super easy to apply, and was cool to see it soak into the wood like it did. I gave the board about three coats, then let it dry over night. I the hit it once with a dry towel, then went over it with the wax. Was a super easy process, and absolutely no smell. I ac8 had fun applying this to the board. Can't thank you enough for such a great product!

I am a woodworker and have built dozens of butcher blocks for family and friends. I use this product on all my blocks. To apply, I use a wet/dry sandpaper and sand in the finish to 400 grit. This creates a nice slurry and fills any open pours. After about 15 minutes, I wipe the surface dry. Once the block gets seasoned, I apply this finish annually as a maintenance. Might have to do more frequently depending on where you live. I'm in San Diego - perfect climate. I actually carry a bottle, rag and some sandpaper in my car so when we are visiting people that I have made a block for, I can do a quick rub and the block looks perfect again. Highly recommend this product as it is super easy to use, almost impossible to screw up and is non-toxic. Not recommended for outdoor use.

I have used the Cutting Board Oil now for several years on a cutting board I bought 15 yrs ago! It keeps the wood hydrated and looking like the day I bought it (almost…there are cut marks here and there!)

Did great on a charcuterie board I made. Did what the directions suggested - applied one coat, waited over night, applied second coat. Not greasy.

Howard usually sets the standard with their oil stain products, but this one sucks. Should have bought tung oil instead. Will be returning this for a full refund. Five coats of heavy oil over an only slightly-faded butcher block counter, and it still fades. Only three more coats to go? I hardly think so. I'm a former painting contractor and know my stuff. This product SUCKS. It should be pulled from store shelves.

I recently went shelling while on vacation. So after cleaning and letting them dry. I used the oil on them to bring to bring out th color. Also will be using on my cutting board. Great product at a reasonable price. 100% Loved this product!

Works really well. A little bit goes a long way. I have boards that my son made many, many years ago. It didn't make them look new of course but they look a lot better. Big difference!
