  • Great purchase... quality product for the price

Have purchased many Hunter fans in the past, and this one is up to the same quality as the rest. Excellent finish, easy installation. Comes with a blade balancing kit, but I have never needed to use one of these with a Hunter fan. Only complaints are that the light kit uses candelabra bulbs, and that the motor vent areas have the fine black mesh on the inside (which I always see on cheaper fans). Curious if this is to catch filings or debris that are produced over time. For the price, couldn't do better. Wife was extremely happy with the finished look, which is a real bonus.

Pretty easy install. Than again not the first fan I ever did. Instructions were good. Balancing kit was good and a few spare parts in a bag was good too. Looks nice and cools off the room. Just what my wife ordered. Needed to buy 3 Candelabra Socket Extenders because fan came with Chandelier Bulbs and I wanted CFL bulbs. Obvious....Cooler, less expensive, and much more light. Was worth an extra $2.75 x 3 or $8.25 for a $100 fan.

  • Worst ceiling fan we've ever bought
  • June 16, 2015

My wife and I bought a Hunter fan for our bedroom to replace the fan that we previously had there. We've had the fan for about a year now and didn't use it much during the fall or winter, and have been using it a good bit now that hot weather has arrived. The high speed on it is like the low speed on several other ceiling fans we have in our house. We had the switch on so that it would pull air up because it is in an upstairs room and we wanted to pull the cool air from the baseboard central air conditioner vents. When the fan ran so slow, we tried reversing the motor with the switch and the sorry piece of junk would not even run AT ALL to blow air down. So, it's not even reversible because it's a total lemon.

Cons doesn't work except on one slooow speed, won't reverse

Very attractive. One Globe was cracked but Hunter sent a replacement quickly. Had someone install the fan. He was pretty fast. I was actually interested in the lights because there is minimal light in the fairly large living room area. The lights were pretty bright. No remote with this for the price. Very happy with the ceiling fan. .

Pros Looks Great, Very Bright, High Quality of Material Cons no remote included

I have had Harbor Breeze and Hunter. The Hunters are always quieter with a better fit and finish. Am going to remove a HB from the bedroom because the noise. This Hunter is so quiet. I put it in the media room where we watch TV. I use hearing aids and this fan moves a lot of air and is whisper quiet.

Pros Easy to Assemble, High Quality of Material, Functional, Well Made, Quiet

Wife and I ordered 2 of these and couldn't be any happier. They were super easy to install and absolutely gorgeous. We loved the fact that there were 2 different shades of wood on the blades so we were able to choose which shade matched the color of our wood floors. Would definitely recomend this fan to others.

Pros Easy to Assemble, Looks Great, very affordable

This is our 2nd Hunter fan installed this year. Both fans are identical except this one has the light kit. A friend of mine who is an Electrician, did the installation. The Hunter runs perfect. The 2 chains used to control the fan speed and the lights are almost motionless even on the highest speed. Sound - The only sound emitted is the whoosh of the blades as they cut through the air. Output - Specs claim 5045 CFM. I'll just say, unless you want a hurricane blowing down on you, you won't be disappointed. It's DOES move the air very well. Appearance - Looks just like the above photo. Do you like the photo? If you say yes, then you'll like it. The lights - I put 3, GE 60w LED daylight Candelabra bulbs in it on day one. They really put out the light, almost no heat and should last for a long, long time. Home Depot, shipping I'm a fan of Hunter fans. I wouldn't have anything else.

This is a great fan It is attractive piece, efficient, and adds a certain charm to what ever room it will be installed in. But the price is outrageous. I found the same fan with the same equipment, same model for almost half the price on the internet at a company that starts with A-----..

Pros Well Made, Looks Great, Nice Design

  • Good Value and Performance in a Ceiling Fan
  • October 03, 2014
  • Recommended Product

I purchased and installed two of these fans today. They are large bedrooms and required at least a 52 inch fan. These fans install like many of the other hunter fans which is quite easy. Take some time and preassemble the blades. Installing the downtube to the fan body, trimming the wiring to approximately 15 inches, stripping one inch of insulation off each of the four wire, and removing the shipping stops on the fan motor will help to speed up the installation. Follow the easy to follow installation instructions. After preassembly, each fan takes about 15 minutes to install with minimal tools and at least a six foot step ladder. The fan bracket provided is easily attached to a fan rated box and allows the fan body housing with downtube to slip into it so that wiring can be safely performed with breaker off and no holding a heavy fan motor in the air. Fan performs as expected on high and medium with no noise. Low speed is too slow to provide noticable air movement. I am very please in the price and performance of this fan.

Pros Easy to Assemble, Functional, Very Bright, Good Size & Weight, Nice Design Cons low speed is useless
