Outdoor rated? Are you sure? Bought 10 fans for a new 5 bedroom home from Hunter. 4 of these outdoor fans for 2 covered decks. Within 3 months the housing is rusting, blade arms are rusting and motor is rusting. Contacted Hunter, they requested pictures. I sent pictures and they agreed should not be rusting. I was willing to buy all the parts to replace but you can't replace the motor. Got an email 3 days later saying the salt content in the air is too high. Really!!! That's your warantee response, like I can control the outdoor salt content in the air....and if so, why doesn't it state not for use in high salt content area. Because motor still turns they will not do anything but offer 30% off another fan. Hunter, do you really think after I spent $800 on 4 of these exact fans all with the same issue within 3 months that I would even consider buying another Hunter fan and giving you more money knowing you will not warantee anything... NEVER AGAIN! How do you even have the audacity to expect me to buy another one of your fans after the customer service you provided on the 4 I already bought.

Easy to install fan put finishing touches on a patio roof installed. Great performance and is very quiet. Creates gentle breeze allowing me to enjoy my addition even on hot Texas days.

Very striking design, and the external material brings a lot of praise, and guest and visitors always ask where I bought it, and the manufacture. I used to say Hunter Fan Company of Memphis Tennessee, and this model is made in Thailand, a country known for excellent craftsmen.

They are perfect. I wanted something that did not stand out as a focal point but had blades that were not plain white or wood color. These are exactly what I was looking for. Very quiet and not wobbly.

We are very pleased with the fan. And as we have seen with all of the other Hunter fans we have purchased over the years, it was balanced so we didn’t have to worry about any wobble.

Assembly was not the easiest, screws similar size, but not fitting screw holes, but once installed, it's fine.

Easy to use and beautiful product. Always choose this brand due to the extended life of this product. Always a fantastic value.

We’ve had a previous positive experience with the Bayview when living in Hawaii. It’s simple to install and the downward air movement and quiet operation are superior to comparable fans with higher prices. The leaf pattern blades are perfect for outdoor screened porches.

The fans fit well on our porch. But they did need to be balanced to get them to stop shaking

Was easy to install. Love the look. Runs quite.

The fans are beautiful and exactly what we were looking for for our outdoor area by the pool. We had an electrician install them, but the installation was quick and easy. One fan does have a slight wobble but we expect to be able to correct this easily by balancing it. Overall we are very happy.

The Hunter Bayview fan is excellent for our outdoor space. I thought it may be too large for our small porch but it fits perfectly and gives a really beachy breeze. We love it!

A friend installed it; looks great compared to 10 yr old rusted previous fan. Brand name has a good reputation and we have had good experience previously with Hunter products. For that reason we purchased Hunter at a few $ higher cost than an alternative product at a competitor's store.

Was skeptical at first with the different blade shape, but love it now. Will be getting two more like it.

Had to return it. Bad electrical housing...started burning/electrical components inside base. I PAID A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN TO INSTALL. Even paid extra for shilping...live on second floor and couldn't carry it upstairs. My electricians put it back in box and car. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

We love our new fans!!! Not only do they look amazing on our redesigned linai, they give off plenty of air to help keep us cool on a hot, Florida day.

Replaced a Hunter Outdoor fan with these 2 during remodel so they would match. Similar style but old one had a piece between mount sleeve and motor to prevent birds from perching. Great design but omitted from these. The blades are unimpressive, pulls too short, had to purchase extra.

If you need a cheap fan for a spare room, guest room, etc. this might be okay. I had to replace a similar Bayview fan that was twelve years old due to a malfunction in the wire-harness assembly, I could not find a simple replacement, so had to buy a new fan! This newer fan is cheaply built.
