This fan was installed in our family room a couple of months ago, and it's been a great addition. It's very, very quiet, and really circulates the air around the entire room. It looks great, and does the job, without a huge price tag attached. I would recommend this fan to anyone.

This fan's size and color w/light was the only match in the price point we were targeting for 2 rooms of the house. I've installed several ceiling fans over the course of our home renovations - all have some flaws, but this is the worst of the bunch. Wiring installation diagram does not match product. Diagram shows 4 wires coming from the fan unit, there are 3 (ground wire is not there, it is in the ceiling plate instead). Connected ground wire from ceiling plate to bare ground from house. One fan didn't have an end clip on one of the pull chains. As a result, the small pull chain receded into the assembly and could not be pulled thru the opening. I had to disassemble/reassemble the part with the lights to get access to pull it through. The fan doesn't use a traditional ball and hanger mounting. Wire access was not long enough and more difficult than it should have been with the hinged mount. Mounting the light assembly requires fishing through a rats-nest of wires upside-down to to attach to the main unit There is no helpful slot or alignment to ensure the fan blades are in good position; it's trial an error and is frustrating as again this task is being performed from under the hanged unit. Would have been better to install 3 or 4 fan blades before hanging. The unit's operation can only be checked after all above frustrating steps have completed (the harness plug that you pull thru the rats-nest and connect is what distributes power). Say a prayer that it works. Unless you are tolerant of frustration I wouldn't recommend this product.

Great size fan for a 14x14 room. Motor is silent. Install fairly simple. Happy with the product at the moment.

Pros: clean looks. Cons: complicated assembly process, not as quiet as expected. I purchased this fan for it's clean looks and Hunter reputation. With a mechanical-engineering background, I have to say the assembly process is unnecessarily complicated. There's also an unnecessary gap between the blades and the housing. The 2-layer rim trim is annoying. The crowded wiring makes lighting kit installation difficult. Air movement is just okay. Overall, this is a good-looking fan but with room for improvement.

Fan looks great and works well. It is very quiet. Purchased four of these.

My husband installed so I’m not sure how that went, but I love the look of the fan, the brightness of the light is perfect and functions well.

The last fan we bought from HD was quite disappointing. Very difficult to install and within a month it developed a scratching noise that has never gone away. After some hesitation we decided to buy from HD again. Took a shot at this Hunter fan and we've been blown away! (sorry... couldn't resist). Location: This was for our nursery. It's a smaller 10x11 room. The fan is perfectly sized for this room. Installation: It was about as easy as I could ask for. Instructions weren't perfect and it was a little time consuming but overall, very pleased. It came with two "wood screws" for anchoring to the ceiling (they stripped immediately), throw those away and get something with a torx head. Other than that, it was straight forward. Performance: This fan is stellar. On high it will send your loose paper flying and low is just enough to just stir up the air. Medium will give a nice reasonable breeze. It mounts to the ceiling and doesn't budge. It's also very quiet. Came with a balancing kit but that was not needed. Quality: It is well engineered. The parts that matter were metal and strong. The rest was budget friendly but well done. It looks great and doesn't feel "cheap". The pull chords are solid metal and are a nice touch over the cheap plastic ones other fans have. Very pleased with quality. Looks: It looks great! Very clean, no exposed screws. Two fan blade colors (light wood and dark wood) to chose from. We opted for the light wood with a grayish tint. It's perfect. Recommended: Yes, absolutely. Best for smaller sized rooms but enough power to probably fight up a class or two.

Nice looking fan, relatively quiet. Light output is fine for a bedroom. Make sure you check the fan housing where the the blades go in, mine had only 4 holes for blades. Hunter sent a new one quickly. Easy to install if you are familiar with ceiling fans. Blue wire is for light, Black is for the fan. Instructions weren't clear on that

Redecorated our guest room and wanted to replace the fan. Purchased this and could not be happier with how quiet it is. It is not a large room so any little noise was distracting especially when trying to sleep. It is a great looking fan and is VERY quiet. Very happy with the purchase!

Easy to install. Makes no noise at all, even on high. Will always buy a Hunter.

Got 2 of these fans and both are very nice. The 2 led 60watt each are not enough light so put in 2 100watt bulbs. Great fan.

I was doing a small renovation on my kitchen and since everything else looked new I had to replace my old fan. I opted for this fan since the lights are enclosed and it came with a remote also. You can adjust the speed of the fan with the remote, instead of the old fans, high, medium or low. You have a choice of either a grey or a brown colored blade, it’s reversible. It comes with everything you need 2 LED bulbs and a battery for the remote. But sorry no electrician, that you have to supply. It took my electrician about 15 minutes to replace the old one and put up the new one. I liked this one so much I got one for my bedroom as well.

Installed this fan in my bedroom last week and it is a life changer. Whisper quiet and easy install. Labor time about 2 hours for me and my sister ( we're both over 60 ). Definitely met all my expectations. Sleeping better than ever.

I like the fan and I bought 3 of these fans but on 1 of the three fans the motor stopped working. I had to pay to have a new fan installed. I hope that this doesn't happen on the other 2 fans that I bought. Even if you get the fan exchanged for free you'd still have to pay to get the old one down and install the new fan. What a pain and extra cost. The electrical looks like it shorted out where they have the 2 pieces snap together. I've enclosed a picture

It looks nice with either color of fan blade. Low medium and high fan settings with or without the light. It didn't come with a remote control which I was a little bit disappointed in. Installation was difficult with the instructions provided. Bolts and parts weren't identified well and instructions were a bit difficult to decipher. Most all ceiling fans are difficult to assemble, however, so I still give it 4 stars. We have had the ceiling fan for about 2 weeks, and enjoy the cooling of the fan blades. We haven't leveled the blades yet, so there's a slight wobble in the fan circuit, but it doesn't affect the rest of the unit.

I purchased two of these Hunter fans to replace two very outdated fans in the living room of the home I purchased in 2017. Installation for both took less than an hour. These fans are not exactly ceiling huggers but are still perfect for 8 foot ceilings. I'm happy with the light and air output. They also look very nice for the price.

Beautiful fan, quiet, nice overall design. Explicit instructions made it easy to follow directions & install. I did have one issue with the installation of light feature: there are 2 small openings to line up with 2 screws & it's almost impossible to see the screw placement to line up the heavy base. I thought that could have been designed differently. I'm a 64 yr old female, & have installed many fans over the years, this one was the most time consuming. If I bought again, I'd get it without the light fixture.

This fan fits the bill for what we needed. It cools us off and is not loud at even the highest setting. The pulls are labeled with a picture of a light and fan so you know which controls which, which is convenient. The fan has a nice appearance. We went for the lighter side of the fan blade showing and it is a nice option for a room that doesn’t have a lot of warm brown wood tones. I prefer the warm glow of incandescent lights and the LED bulbs this fan came with are definitely not giving off that warm lighting, but they’re not totally gray/blue either so I can live with it as long as I have other lamps in the room. Since they're standard bulbs, they can be replaced if you really hate them. Our only real complaint is there is a small rattling sound for when you turn the fan on, but it eventually goes away. It sounds like there is something loose in the motor but it eventually settles in somewhere and the noise stops. Installation was exactly what you’d expect for a fan. Connect the wiring using the included wire connectors, then just follow the directions. It was the first fan I’ve ever installed and I had no problems. I’ll reiterate, just follow the directions! Installation probably took me about an hour.

It fits the room just as I expected, it was easy to assemble, sturdy, and gives good wind. Great price and very satisfied.

Looks absolutely phenomenal! I love the style of the globe and the finish is great quality. The finish didn't even retain fingerprints from the installation. It's modern look will work with many décor styles, but it goes especially well with my rustic/industrial décor fixtures in my adjoining, open-space kitchen. The reversible blade colors also go great with my pecan wood-tone laminate floors. Installation is pretty easy, but a little time consuming. Set aside an hour or two to complete the task, depending on your experience level. Instructions are well written and include graphics, with the exception of which screws are to be used at specific stages of assembly (still fairly self-evident). This fan is not extremely heavy but does require additional wood screws (included) be installed through the ceiling support structure/fixture. Wiring instructions are included for both single switch and dual switch set-ups. Two 60W equivalent LED bulbs are included with the kit, so the amount of overhead light is moderate. The fan motor runs smoothly and quietly. I haven't experienced any wobble, even on 'high', but there is a leveling kit included in case it runs off balance. I've had great luck with Hunter. I've had four Hunter fans and zero issues, one of which I even brought from my last home. It's over 10 years old, still looks timeless and still runs like a champ. I sense that same quality in this fan. The only thing that would make it even better is a remote. A few of tips to make your installation easier: 1) Use a magnetic-ended Philips screwdriver  2) Tape the light and fan chains to the side of the housing until your installation is complete so they don't fall back through the holes into the housing. 3) Enjoy! 

Not sure what has gone wrong with the fan electronics, but after three months the fan control no longer operates. May have a lose connection within the electrical internals. I can't find anything wrong mechanically with the pull cord connector, so I'm lead to believe it is a manufacturing defect or cheap out component dying too soon.

Wry quiet fan. Had trouble installing fan blades as the screw holes were difficult to access. Need to have the screw holes outside of the motor to allow easier attachment

Not hard to install but it’s the noisiest fan I have ever seen.

Remember the wiring when you take the old one down, remember, being a flush mount; you don’t get a nice cradle to hold the fan body in place while you work diligently. Don’t try to pull one of the cords before snapping on the handles: it will recoil back into the body of the fan housing and will require a combination of dexterity and dental floss to retrieve. The design of the blade mounts is clever; they will rest in place while you screw them in. Everything is fairly easy to reach, and it works very well. I am pleased with my fan. Oh, and to gently mock some reviewers: I am a 40 year old man and managed it in many minutes.
