Love the look of this fan but I bought two hunter fans and they both dim without warning and the one flashes on intermittently without pressing the on button. I love the look of both of them but am very frustrated. We reached out to hunter and they haven’t responded. The 44inch one dims frequently and has flashed on overnight while my son (21 months) is sleeping. Really didn’t want to have to return but I’m feeling like I have no choice. We paid someone to install and they’ve redone the installation to ensure the wiring was correct. Such a waste of money on a brand we thought was trustworthy.

The fan works as advertised and is reasonably quiet, however I wish I had seen or paid attention to the reviews indicating 'flickering' caused by the remote control. When the fan and light are 'ON', both will momentarily stop. When the fan is on but the light is off, it will momentarily flicker 'ON'. This seems to happen every 5-20 minutes randomly. Given the difficulty of where and how these fans are installed, this type of quality issue is really unacceptable. The remote design / materials seem cheap and not at all in line with the other materials used in the fan. I have had it installed for 1 week and the issue started almost immediately. It seems I'll have to give Hunter a warranty call and see what happens. NOTE: The remote assembly is made in China

Very good fan. Looks really nice when up. The remote screws on the light switch so there is no need to attach it to the wall.

First the good, the fan is a nice, sleek, low-profile design. The fan motor is very quiet, and the light fixture is adequately bright. Now for the bad, the remote control transmitter / receiver seems to have some inherent issues. The light in the initial unit I purchased would just turn off and then come right back on every 3-6 minutes. I contacted the company and they asked the color of the receiver & quickly sent a replacement receiver (thought this would be the end of it). The new receiver works fine with the light, but only lets you turn on the highest fan setting. The low and mid settings just turn the fan completely off. This is still a work in-progress and Hunter has been pretty responsive so far. Honestly I'm surprised that the quality of Hunter products seems to have dropped off. If you don't want a science fair project, I'd recommend avoiding this product.

Simple and easy installation. You can always count on Hunter for their innovation.

Easy to install, and a nice modern look. Fan functions well. But both this fan and the smaller version we installed in our daughter’s room, the lights flicker and turn on/off by themselves. The hum is louder than expected too.

This fan does not do a very good job of moving air. I can light a lighter underneath it on high and it cant blow it out

We had this fan installed by a master electrician. But the remote has NEVER worked correctly, sometimes it would turn on immediately and sometimes only after repeated pressing the button. And sometimes not at all. Today when I finally got it to turn on, there was a loud buzzing, and then a burning ozone smell. We immediately turned off the power, and upon inspection of the remote reciever box, found a burnt-out resistor on the circuit board. We're going to go to the manufacturer and see what they can do, but we would not recommend this model.

First the good - the fan looks very stylish and nice. Even on high setting it is very quiet, which is important as it is installed in master bedroom. Now for the not so good - it appears there are known issues with this particular model having flickering light problems. Had this professionally wired and installed by an electrician, flickering started pretty quickly after that. After googling - saw many people had this same issue so contacted Hunter directly. They said most likely the receiver is bad and will send me out another one when it is in stock - about 3 months out!!! Disappointing as I spent a lot of money on a brand new fan and professional installation to have a known problem start up ASAP. Now I'll have to wait several months for a part, then get help replacing the receiver if/when it does come in.

Great quality and price. We selected this fan for its modern look and low profile.

A lot of assembly but well worth it! Very quiet and solid!!

LOVE this ceiling fan! Simple, clean lines with the Hunter quality that you’d expect. The remote makes everything effortless. Perfect for our family room. Love it so much, considering getting another just like it for the master bedroom.

Blades are odd to assemble but the fan moves a lot of air and is quiet. A good looking well made fan overall

Installation was straightforward, the light bulbs provided are kind of dim, so I’ll be changing them, and there is a slight hum when the fan is on.

Looks and works great. Bought 4 units and they all work perfectly. Very pleased with the purchase.

Color of blades darker than expected

Within a few months after installing, remote receiver broke. Don't have the original box or receipt. Now I have to pay $50 for a replacement plus installation. HD doesn't carry that part by the way. I have a high ceiling so it's not like I could uninstall to return. Very disappointed.

Fan looks great! A replacement because of a failed remote receiver. This one works fine. I question the need for remotes on fans.

Great fan really quiet easy to assemble. Light is super bright led. Only issue is I would prefer to have light on a switch and instruction say not to do that. The light kit is high quality and glass is really thick. Very well made. Would be nice if light had dimmer capability on the remote since you can't wire to switch.

The Hunter Dempsey is a nice simplistic fan. Very quiet, attractive. Did I say quiet, 0 sound. Easy to use remote. The only negative is Hunter doesn't make a matching 12" downrod; the suggested color to use is much darker than the fan.
