This is for the model 59268 Anslee bronze fan. Installing the fan body was a piece of cake. Installing the light kit was a pain. You have to thread the screws thru a jungle of wires a seen in the photos. If you install this yourself just beware.

I love the fan but the remote is a nightmare. Save yourself the hassle and just get the fan. If you install the remote, you can only use the remote and the light switch is then useless.

Quality is not as good with this fan as the Hunter fan we replaced it with. One of the metal light support bars is bent so one light sits crooked. Overall fit, finish and appearance is just not up to what I expect from a Hunter fan. It’s an OK fan but I can buy another brand and get an OK fan.

I bought 5 of this ceiling fan, for our new home and they look beautiful and perform well for the size of the bedrooms. However the light covers are amber tone and I wanted them white. I will have to replace them.

The fan is very quiet and the remote works for the fan speed but not for dimming the lights. The fan would not spin freely after installation but the installer was able to find the problem. Overall very nice and the LED lights are nice and bright. Hunter needs to stop using Styrofoam for packaging though.

This remote came in a bundle. It is a universal remote, very easy to install just above the motor. No need to run any extra wires. Perfect for my lanai because I was able to wire my new fan to an outdoor outlet and just use this remote to turn on the fan, adjust the fan speeds. My fan does not have a light attached so I cannot comment on the light function on the remote.

This remote was already paired with it's receiver. That is so helpful. The little LED lights let you know the batteries work which was super helpful during installation (is the problem with the remote, the switch being turned off, the wiring, etc.?). It doesn't feel super lightweight compared to the other one I have. If you're adding to the wall, make sure it's level to the other switches.

This fan is beautiful . Very quiet and puts out a good breeze.

This is a great looking fan it looks very expensive and classy for my kitchen it blends well with my other stainless steel accessories

Easy to install (according to my contractor) and it looks phenomenal!

I usually prefer to have a fan and light switch on the wall wired with the appropriate romex for the extra wire for the fan, however in our master bedroom it wasn’t possible to fish new wire to the ceiling fan due to attic access issues. This switch will give you the ability to control your fan and lights separately without the use of the pull chains, and since it uses a wireless remote you can place the remote cradle wherever you wish or move the remote around the room with you if desired. Install – Install was very easy. After turning off the breaker, simply remove the ceiling box cover and wire the controller in following the wiring chart included. Our Hunter fan had a black wire with a white stripe instead of a blue wire for the fan, but other than that it was very straight forward. I also have to commend Hunter for including wire nuts in the packaging as I always find it annoying when they are not included. The controller is small enough to fit under the dome or even in the ceiling box if it’s standard size. You will also need a small Phillips screwdriver to install the button battery in the remote and then decide where to mount the remote cradle. You can either install it with screws or command release (included). We installed ours on the switch cover right next to the switch as we prefer to leave it in the cradle as to not lose it. Setup - There isn’t much to setup as the remote will most likely work right out of the box. Just be sure your switch and pull chains are on before starting, being sure the fan is set to high. Dimming did not work right away and the reference card for the remote had to be referenced to enable dimming. Being able to disable dimming can be very helpful when you are using LED or CFL bulbs without dimming capability, especially somewhat expensive LED candelabra bulbs. Impressions – I was very happy with the easy install and the small size of the remote. My only complaint with this unit is the somewhat lacking instruction card for the use of the remote. Setting the dimming mode and some of the other operations aren’t exactly clear, and better instructions would have been very helpful, and should have also been included on the main instruction sheet as there were absolutely no remote instruction on the main instructions. Overall I am very happy with this remote and would gladly buy a second when the need arises.

I have 4 ceiling fans, three indoors and one outside under a canopy. All the inside ceiling fans are controlled by switches that let me control the fan speed and lights (dimmer), but the outside could only be controlled by the pull chains since there is no good place to install switches and it would be a wiring mess. Low and behold I see this, it answers all my ceiling fan and light prayers (well almost). This installs like most other fan/light controls (the ceiling module looks like the ceiling module from a name brand switch manufacturer). Turn off the power to the circuit that your fan is on (unless you like getting zapped or like to temp fate). Remove the trim ring from the fan and make 4 wire nut connection (light, fan, power and neutral). Install the trim ring and turn on the power if you turned it off. Install the battery in the remote and you are done, unless you want to read the manual. Now I don't need to stand up and reach over the patio table and yank on chains to control the fan speed or the light brightness. Also as a bonus with none of the my other fan/light control can do it now I can dim LED and CFL bulbs in the ceiling fan if they are dimmable. It's nice on the outside so you can create some ambiance. All you need to remember is to keep the remote handy and not loose it. I don't think it is weather proof. As for answering all my ceiling fan/light prayers, if it were able to be connected to or controlled by a smart home product that would have been the cou degra. Then all I would need is a smartphone. Still I am very happy with it. Now I just need to wait till it warms up so be able to use it.

I recently installed a fan/light over the workbench in our outdoor workshop and was getting fed up with hitting my head on the on/off chain so I was very happy to discover this fan remote control. It was very easy to install with my existing fan and the remote provides a good range of fan control features including fan/light on/off, fan speed and even dims the lights if your fan has dimmable bulbs. The remote comes with a specially designed bracket which can be attached to the wall so you never lose the remote. Installing the receiver/controller box in the fan was very straightforward using the included instructions. The design allows the control box to be hidden inside the top canopy cover that normally covers the fan mounting bracket and wires. It is very easy to wire up and the kit even includes new wire nuts. Once installed it is completely hidden from view which makes for a very tidy installation. The remote control has a specially designed bracket that can be used to store the remote when not in use. The kit comes with a couple of screws or a double sided sticky pad to attach it to the wall. The remote has a range of up to 75' and the included battery will last up to 5 years according to the info on the packaging. Installing the battery in the remote will require a smaller Phillips screwdriver and even with the screw removed, the cover takes a bit of force to pry it off to fit the battery. The remote provides a good range of control over the fan/light including: Fan on/off Light on/off Fan speed Light dimming (if dimmable bulbs are fitted to the fan light) It comes with a 12 month warranty and can be used indoors our outside since the remote control is rated for use in damp environments.

This ceiling fan looks fantastic in our high-ceiling living room and does a great job of circulating the air in the room! We chose this particular fan because the vertical orientation of the lights stood out to us. The light bulbs the fan comes with are very bright and at the fastest speed this fan really cools us off! The assembly and installation took me and my friend about two hours. It was not very difficult, but would have been difficult for just one person. Great product!

We put this fan up in our dining room. There is a vaulted ceiling and we wanted a little air flow above our dining table. The blades are a bit small but create enough air flow to keep the room fresh and the motor is super quiet. The overall design is beautiful and the installation was super easy. The fan allows for down rod installation, flush and tilted installations. You can also switch blades between dark color and lighter depending on the decor of your room!

The 44 in. Donegan fan works well in a casual setting. The Hunter reputation of quality makes you feel secure in the fan’s performance. We installed the five blades on the distressed oak blades but blades can be reversed to dark walnut. The kit includes 3-light fitter and frosted glass globes, three 9.8 watt LED bulbs are also included. If you don’t need the light kit a cap is included to finish the bottom. You can install standard, flush or angled, the kit comes with 2” and 3” down rods, we used the 3”. The best feature is the WhisperWind® motor so quiet while cooling perfectly. Pull chain for off/on and speed adjustments also included. The brushed nickel finish blends in well with most décor. Hunter also offers a limited lifetime motor warranty.

I used this fan in my home office I had another fan in there which was fine but it only had one light on it. The lighting was horrible I would wear a headlamp at night while on the computer so I could see the keyboard. I installed this and it was like night and day the room has never been so bright with those 3 led bulbs. It's also a very nice looking fan love the brushed nickel finish. The instructions were very easy to follow. Iv'e installed many fans in my day so I didn't really need the instructions but I did look them over and they were very helpful if you were new at this. All around nice product good looking nice light and it moves the air around nicely.

I have purchased 3 of these (2 44in, 1 56in) for my home. Oldest has been installed for over 3 years. The fans are simple, sturdy and functional. The design works for any decor. They move air in a room quietly.

Nice looking and functional

The Hunter Donegan 44" ceiling fan in onyx bengal bronze is extremely quiet and moves the air around well in my bedroom. I love the look of it. It matches the doorknobs and hinges I have on my doors and compliments my decor. The light is very bright. I had a previous ceiling fan that was wired to two wall switches, so I wanted another the same way, instead of having a remote. I had two friends install it for me, one took down my old fan, while the other assembled the new. They were done in less than 2 hours from start to finish. Works beautifully! I would highly recommend purchasing this, and I wasn't compensated for my review in any way.

Easy to install, quiet, no wobbles fan. I'm pleased with the purchase!

IMPORTANT: Be aware that the light fixture has to be attached for the fan to be operational. I tried testing my wiring before attaching the light and after many wiring redo's discovered this requirement. This should have been noted in the instructions to prevent needless extra effort.

We thought this light (in the all-white design) looked great on the website and I am happy to say it looks even better in person. Although we opted for all-white and have the blades with the pure white side down, the fan is still somehow eye catching - maybe it's the beautiful frosted glass light fixtures, or maybe it's the eye-catching design of the motor housing. Either way, the fans are beautiful. Equally important, they work wonderfully - super quiet and with great airflow - and the light fixtures really brighten a room.
