Bought two of these for our Hunter fans. We prefer a wall control to remotes or chains. These work great. I am pretty picky and was concerned that the lights would buzz with the dimmer switch. No worries! Very quiet. Very happy with these switches.

Nice product. I was looking for a controller with a separate switch for the light and fan but this one is better than adjusting the light and fan speed with the sliders every time.

Lousy switch knobs
Fans are great but the switch knobs are easily broken and can only be replaced by purchasing a new $40+ switch. Not recommended

Very Practical switches
The Hunter slide switches are attractive an practical since they add a fourth speed of ceiling fan operation. they are however a bit more flimsy than I had expected. Time and long term use will tell how well they hold up.

yup, knobs break easy
The fan knob broke off within a year. It truly is a very weak design and wonder how something like this gets approved and worse yet, not fixed.
Everything else about this works well and I really need the low speed for the work we do in the room with the fan on.

Poor Design
This switch has a high rate of failure due to the knobs coming off and the knobs are not sold separately. I have not experienced this problem as of yet but the switch has tiny knobs and they are hard to move - I can see how the knob would fail. I would have chosen another switch but I couldn't find one that would work with my fan
I love The Home Depot but I hope they read this response and review the quality of of the product they choose to have in their stores. I would think that if a product has a problem where the knobs break and come off they would at least offer replacement knobs.

Hunter 4 speed fan control wall switch
I replaced two existing 3 speed Hunter fan switches, because the fan control levers broke off from switch. The 4 speed switch has similar flimsy fan control levers, plus a robust on/off switch at the bottom. Once I set the speed to the desired setting, I use the on/off switch to control the fan. I minimize my need to touch the speed control lever, so these switches should last longer. If either fails, I will replace with another brand that is more robust. I am surprised Hunter puts out these flimsy products.

Plastic Knobs
We have about 6 of these in the home when we bought it. ALL of the plastic knobs have fallen off and there are no replacements. I sent Hunter an email and they said, sorry we don't offer them. Well now I have to replace all those switches with a different brand. This is very bad product design and support.

Excellent purchase
The dual fan and light control was really easy to install and control the fan speed and lighting very well. Controls must be operated carefully but they function well.

Love the control.
Great for use with ceiling fan. Can dim/brighten lights and control fan speed from a good looking switch. Eliminates reaching over bed to pull chains. Love it.

Cheap knobs break easily
I had 3 of these switches installed in a remodel project. The knobs are broken on 2 of the 3. I will see if Hunter will provide replacement knobs. I cannot find any online.

Happy with purchase
Works great and looks good on wall.In order to work on fan and light it needs a third wire that needs to be installed by an electrician.

a bit overpriced but works well
Was a little skeptical on purchasing this item. We were replacing one that had basically fried inside the electrical box but we couldnt find one that would serve the same purpose. I couldnt believe the cost... a little overpriced. Was fairly easy to install. so far everything is still working well.

Probably flimsy but still classy
We stripped our house of polished brass, including hinges, faucets, lights, door handles. We are selling our house. We installed Hunter 46" Stonington fans in what are likely the child bedrooms. Important points: (1) these dual-slide controls are much cheaper (about $23) in the store than they are at any of the cheapest online "pro" lighting sites, (2) there are three buttons, one for on/off and two for lights and speed, (3) once you have the flimsy light/speed sliders set like you want, you never have to touch them again, just hit the on/off button, (4) Hunter fans come with free CFLs, but I upgraded by buying the much more expensive dimmable CFLs at HD (I never tested the standard CFLs to see how they would work with this switch, but somehow that seems like a bad idea to dim a non-dimmable bulb). My installer had some problems with the Hunter wiring diagrams and got the setup wrong on the first try (his light switch controlled the speed), but the control worked perfectly with the hot wires switched. Since this control is the size of a soft-touch switch, we bought a new 2-hole cover plate plus a soft-touch switch. The wall plate looks fabulous with the joint Hunter control for the fan and a soft-touch for the other switch. My installer says this combination makes for a very crowded outlet box. In summary: this switch is cheap at Home Depot, it only requires the on/off button once you set the light/speed sliders as desired, and it looks fabulous when complemented with a soft-touch switch in the wall plate.

Great Fans--horrible switches
I have Hunter Ceiling fans in every room. They are quiet and dependable. The switches that I purchased for the fans to control lighting and speed are absolute junk. Two switches no longer control speed except low and full power. All the switches have lost the slider control knobs. The knobs were very thin plastic and easily broke.
I would NOT recommend this switch.

Cheap, not inexpensive
The plastic caps on both slide levers broke off within two days of use. I think the sliding mechanisms were to tight or something because the levers were hard to move. Since the levers are made of plastic, it didn't take but a few uses before for the first one broke off. The second broke the same afternoon. I actually spent more time installing this than using it. I bought a more expensive but better made product to replace this one. Please don't waste your money on this product!
