My house was built in 1950 and has small bedrooms, ceilings have the old wire boxes and cloth covered wire. It was no matter because the fan was still easy to install. The instructions made sense and easy to follow. Also, The fan size is perfect for my smaller bedrooms and that is why I decided to buy two a couple weeks ago.

Great Fan. Quiet and attractive. Installation is definitely a 2 person job. Instruction sequence is important. Magnetic screwdriver will come in handy for weaving through the cabling with tiny screws.
