Good for most homeowners. If you are a commercial user or use it 3-10+ times a year, get the heavy duty one from another manufacture. If you use it a couple times a year at most, get this one. For 1/5th the price of the commercial grade one, it comes with lifetime warranty. I'm glad HD is making their own auger. I'm sure it's the same manufacture makes it, but by labeling it Husky, it comes with a lifetime warranty. Just bring it back to HD. I had the other brand one and got this for light use. I also have another one that is extremely heavy duty. It's also about 5x heavier than this and can extend to 6 feet if you need it. For most, it will be a paper towel, a sock, etc. This can get the job done most of the time. I wish the end of it was made of rubber since it'd absorb the shock. By having a plastic head, it can crack off. Again, it is Husky so it is lifetime.

The Husky Home Owner Toilet Auger is another well made and design tool. The three foot toilet auger is make of high-carbon spring wire that resist rust. I love the safety guide sleeve along with the non-slip comfort handle. Makes a tough job a lot easier. When not in use you can use the hand clip to secure the spring and store for the next time you may need it. Of course its a Husky tool so it has a LIFETIME warranty.

It works good but is a little clunky to set up. Unravelling the auger from the case is sort of a pain but once you run it through the handle it really is very easy to use and does a good job honing the pipes in a circular motion. There's a wing nut that can be tightened and loosened to feed the auger even deeper. The head of the auger is small but can clear 1 1/2" - 3" drains (sinks, toilets, tubs for example). It's a bit messy to put away but it does work good.

Bigplumbing projects need a big auger. This is a big auger. When you unwrap this tool it immediately hits you that you have a frind on your side to beat your drain problem. the first thing to do is put the handle in place. If you don't have an idea where the clog is push the un clogging end in until you feel resistence. then pull the handle toward the pipe entry point. tighten the handle and start working ir around. losen, - tighten, loosen etc until you are free flowing. Run water gently and make sure the clog is gone before you wash the tool off and put it away. i use a simple set of pliers to tighten and loosen the handle and bungee cords to store it.

This product worked great for moving the clog in my toilet from 2.5 feet away to 3.1 feet down the line. If you have a teenager flushing paper towels down the toilet I would recommend a longer toilet snake.

The toilet auger is very easy to use. I had never used one before- but it was super simple and the clog cleared on the first try! I highly recommend!

This did the job when the plunger failed. Bear in mind that this thing pushes, but it has a small hook. So I would recommend gentle clockwise turns to extend and retract the coil if there is a solid object that you need to remove.
