This 65 year old female purchaser was delighted with the ease of use of my project. The project involved painting three six-foot Metal garden bridges. This product was used with a Home Depot purchased Husky gravity fed spray Gun. I was surprised how quiet the compressor was when running. I had no hesitation starting it up at 8 AM on a weekend day. The compressor provided an unending supply of air at the exact pressure I wanted. I can't imagine trying to do this job applying both a primer and final enamel color with a paintbrush. Love this tool! While the photo submited it does not have the product next to it, I believe from the photo you can see the intricacy of the project and the work to demand to complete three of these bridges in record time. Looking forward to using it on other projects.

I replaced a 25 year old Ingersoll Rand Charge Air Pro. First noise, this compressor is substantially quieter than the old one. Though I didn't test the old one, I used a smart phone app to check the db and discovered the number listed in the specs had to have been taken with the compressor sitting outside, not inside a shop. I probably didn't need one with this large a tank, but I'm glad I bought it. I can now use air tools that I previously couldn't use and that ended up sitting in my air tools bin. I rotated my tires using an impact driver and the unit never cycled on. Build quality is amazing. I've had this for 4 months now and it does not bleed any pressure off when not in use. This is a good thing as it take quite a long time to bring it up to presssure It kept 150 psig for over a month with no use. When I brought it home from the store, you could tell by the dust it had been there a while yet it still had air pressure in the tank from the factory testing. I love it when I find an excellent tool, and that is certainly the case with this one. The only downside is the tank drain is a pain to get to and I will probably plumb something different.

this review is having only possessed the compressor for 2 weeks...and maybe turning it on 2-3 times... so far so good. What I like: 1. The compressor gives enough CFM's that I can finally use the tools I need. 2. The compressor is shorter than it appears in the pics, but it still a decent size. 3. Two ports are much better than one, as I can have a 3/8 line for high flow tools, and 1/4 line for everything else. 4. Large volume means it doesn't have to run much. what I don't like: 1. The dials have really small writing making it hard to read or setting a specific pressure 2. the installed quick connects are 1/4 inch. For a high performance compressor, it shouldn't come with the lowest flowing connections 3. two ports are too close to each other. 4. it's loud...as to be expected. So as with most of the reviews I've read for almost any compressor, the issue comes after a year or so of use...the question will always be how long this lasts. Hopefully, I never have to update this review.

I just recently purchased this compressor to replace my old one. I just want to mention that when I first ran it, it omitted some black material on to the white walls of my garage. Apparently, some paint or other material is burning off, nothing to worry about. Each time it runs the less it omits this material. Overall, this is a great unit and it has enough reserve pressure to prevent the unit from running all the time. This machine was built in the USA! By the way, I use the cover for a round BBQ grill to keep my unit covered when not in use.

I wanted to replace a 40 year old Craftsman compressor and decided to go air-free and vertical, so I bought 3 to compare them side by side - a Sanborn 15 gallon 225PSI, a Sanborn 30 gallon 155psi and this Husky 30 gallon 175 psi. I wanted one that was compact, quiet but with enough umph to blow out my sprinklers in the fall. This meant that 'volume of air' was important. I found this Husky to be the best one. First, it was the least expensive (over $50 less than the other two). Second, it had the highest volume of air (30 gallons at 175 psi). It also had a reasonable noise level, acceptable dimensions, good portability, DUAL air quick-connectors and a well-placed regulator adjuster. Fill times were a little longer than the other two I bought, with this one doing: 1 1/2 minutes to 50psi, 3 3/4 minutes to 100, 6 1/2 minutes to 150 and 8 1/2 minutes to 175psi. But it was still the best one for me. If compactness is important, the Sanborn 15 gallon would be a good choice. It was the quietest and filled to 225psi in 7 1/2 minutes.

Ok I have had this compressor for about 3 months. I have used it with impact gun which worked great. I've used it with grinder also worked great. As I'm writing this review I am blowing out my sprinkler lines. I have 12 zones and was tired of paying $140 to blow them out. It takes about 10 mins to have the pump get to full pressure. So this is taking me about 2 hours to complete this job. Annoying but pump is paying for itself as long at it lasts 2 years. I'm just finding small jobs to do around the house while I wait for pump to pressurize example writing this review! I would recommend this pump but don't expect to great everything the expensive one might offer.

Just unboxed it and its in great shape. Nice build quality and only slight scuffing from the packaging. Fine for a shop tool. It is quieter than my pancake compressor, so that is a huge plus. First charge is fairly long, I did not time it, but probably longer than 5 minutes. Shut off right at 175-180 range. Bled it off with an air hose and it kicked back on at 130. Time to shut off was right at 2.5 minutes. Seems reasonable. Will try the irrigation purge next weekend. I have a big system with some long runs, so it could take a while. We will see.

First time buyer of a compressor
Works as advertised. Does not reach full pressure (175lbs) but comes close. Had to partially disassemble to correct hose leak. Otherwise no issues to date.

            A must have air compressor!!
This is probably the most quiet air compressor that I have ever seen. The capacity is awesome! The mobility of the compressor is another great compliment to this unit. It is very easily moved with the solid rubber wheels. The compressor itself has a high quality feel and appearance. The compressor has enough capacity that it doesn't need to kick on continually like a lot of the smaller sized compressor. It has more than enough power to use just about any sized mechanics tools. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a larger quality air compressor!!

Quiet Compressor With A Large Tank
First of all I can not get over how quiet this compressor is at only 78dBA. I have owned compressors that are belt driven and the compressor had oil in it which needed servicing at times but this compressor does not use oil so there is no service needed. The pump shuts off at a 175 psi and you can adjust the regulator so you can run your tools. The unit has a good center of gravity plus the handle is a good length so it can be moved around easily. This will easily blow out my sprinkler system plus handle my air tools.

            Unbelievable capacity
This 30 gallon unit is replacing an older 8 gallon unit that served me well for a decade. One of my main complaints with the old 8g unit was how frequently it would cycle on (ex: every other wheel during the summer/winter wheel swap). This 30 gallon unit has mind numbing capacity. I let it fill to capacity then wheeled it out behind the barn to repair some fencing. I had the nailer set at 90 PSI and was able to run 250+ nails and the pressure in the tank was still 150+. It probably had a thousand nails worth of capacity off a full tank. Very impressive. I LOVE the quick releases they preinstalled (oh, BTW, it has TWO quick releases preinstalled for hoses). The QRs are solid, and lock / unlock real smooth. The wheels are big and easy rolling. The rear supports are nice wide steel plates - plenty of support. The handle has a rubberized grip and was comfortable to use (both height placement and grip). The compressor is oil free (nice!) and "quiet"... although quiet is a bit of a stretch. It sounds like a medium sized shop vac when it's running. Not outrageous, but not quiet either. There was literally ZERO setup required. Just plug it in, flip the switch, and you're running. Not even a bolt or a screw to turn.

            best of all
Fast shipping plunged in and pumped quite cannot expect better compressor. So far this air compressor has met all of my expectations. It is definitely quieter when filling the air then my old one; it is a great product by HUSKY. It fills at a steady rate (at the first time it take little longer than I anticipate but it is 30 gallons, it can easily keep up with more than three tools), and easy adjustable to whatever PSI your tool requires and best of all you do not have to have tool connected to drop the PSI. Easy to setup, and instructions are clear. I wish it came with a flexible hose. It came with two quick connectors, and a safety valve. Bleeder valve makes for quick air release on the bottom of compressor. Overall, I feel this product is well built. And the compressor is oil less so no mess in the shop. It does have more power than I expected, especially for the price. Thanks again for the VALUE vs price that I get with HUSKY products.

A Far Better Compressor Than My Old One!
I have another compressor, made by a competitor that I paid a pretty fair price for new. I needed it at the time to frame out some walls while building my son's house. It worked, but overall, I was not real happy with it. It had a 20 gallon tank, and would hold up to 200 psi. My framing nailer would empty the tank fairly quick, then I'd have to wait for quite a while for the motor to refill it. Add to that, even being unused, it would bleed out air from the tank gradually, so it seemed to always need refilling. Worse still, the motor was horribly loud! You could hear that thing from a long ways off, and up close, it was deafening! This Husky 30 Gal. 175 psi High Performance Quiet Portable Electric Air Compressor has more tank capacity than my old one. While the old one touted itself as running 200 psi, my tools generally only needed 90 psi, so it isn't as much about the pressure, as it is the volume of air available. Husky markets this compressor as being quieter than others. I call that a big understatement that you don't appreciate until you've heard this one and can compare it to one such as my old one. This Husky compressor is maybe 6 times quieter than my old one, and certainly quieter than our vacuum cleaner! I filled it up two days ago, and its still holding air very nicely, and the motor has not kicked on once to refill it yet! All in all, I love this Husky compressor! I've been a big fan of their tools and other products for years, but I am here to tell you that this is one very well-made compressor! I would most certainly highly recommend this compressor to my friends and anyone else! Thanks Husky, and Home Depot!

This is a very nice unit with very little assembly required and the performance is great. Doesn't run loud and pumps up the 30 gal tank quite well in a short period of time. The price for the quality and features can't be beat as I tried in comparing other brands but returned to make this purchase.

                  Long Term Quality Issues
Purchased in 2017; used infrequently since then. Lately, the compressor motor shuts when tank pressure reaches 100 psi (NOT 175 psi). Can still use for filling tires, but not much else. Very disappointed. Not what I expected from this product.

                    So far so good!!
So far this compressor has done everything I have asked of it. I frequently use my impact wrench, air ratchet, and air hammer. As long as you have reasonable expectations you will not be disappointed. I am a hobbyist DIYer and the only time I have ran this compressor out of air is using a cut-off tool or die grinder for extended periods of time, but that is to be expected with a compressor this small. I can still zip off a bolt with the cut-off wheel or do some quick clean-up with the die grinder. If you are new to the world of air compressors it is best to familiarize yourself with the difference between static and working air pressure as it is necessary to get the fullest potential of any air compressor. In summary, If you need a compressor and don't have access to 220V, like myself, this will make a decent compressor for the average DIYer.

The product did what I expected. My primary use is to blow out the yard irrigation system for winter prep. The volume was perfect for my system. The unit did work when attached to an extension cord as stated in the product description. I also really like the valve design used to blow water out of the air tank.
