It leaks down overnight

I am on my 3rd Compressor now. My first one leaked out the Regulator as soon as I hooked it up. Took it back to Home Depot and was sent another 2 weeks later. The second one just went out, blowing oil out the front of the Compressor. I took it back to Home Depot and they swapped it out. I'm getting ready to unbox this one and see if I can get more than a few uses out of it. I only use a compressor once in awhile. I would expect better when you pay $699.00 for a product.

Unit arrived on time and in good condition. But the shroud over the compressor was loose. Which was actually good because as I was putting it back on I saw the bolt on the flywheel was loose. And, no lock washer to hold it in place. Not good. All easily fixable but it shouldn’t have had to have been. As an FYI the motor is easily convertible to 240VAC, which I did (they tend to run cooler than needing a 20A 120V circuit). I’ve used it only a couple of times but I have had no issues since the original setup.

Bought a new 30 gal husky compressor to replace my 23 year old 30 gal that was starting to get pin holes in bottom of the tank. New compressor seems to be well built like my old husky. Only problem, it leaked air out of a few fittings. Had to take apart add Teflon tape to some of the fittings. Apparently they have no quality control at the factory . Other then that it seems to be fine. Only time will tell how good the compressor will hold up.

Unit I received has a problem with the pump/flywheel where the flywheel keeps coming loose and throwing the belt. I really liked the specs of this model but it is currently unusable without a replacement pump/flywheel.

Wife and Daughters purchased this for me to replace a 40yo Craftsman 2hp 20gal compressor to which I’ve painted cars and boats and whole assortment of air tools. Sanders and impacts and stuff. Quality control must be and issue for husky. Not checking anything and getting them out the door. Every air fitting/connection leaked air. Had to remove, reseal and reassemble ALL THE AIR CONNECTIONS as they ALL leaked big time. Sure looked good though just sitting there all assembled and pretty. The only feature on the Husky that is better is that it’s 30 not 20 gallons. Hope it’s lasts without any more repairs.

I did a lot of research before purchasing this compressor. It seems that most companies are pushing toward the "Oil Less" configuration at the 30 gallon size, I have always been an old school person and want a long lasting and quieter oil lubed unit. This unit replaced a 60 gallon with a 5 horse motor that supplied air to my garage and basement shop. I was surprised and pleased that the Husky seems to fill faster, run quieter, and maintain pressure as good as the 60 gallon unit. I was very pleased with Home Depot store and staff. They had two in stock, quick check out and they found four guys to help me load it on my SUV rear carrier. Set up was a breeze. Remove from box, air up tires, check over for missing parts (none found), plug it in and run the break in procedure. Very happy that I bought from Home Depot and Husky.

After opening the cardboard box, I found that the compressor had oil leaks, the flywheel was warped, and the compressor had a metal knocking noise and there were several air leaks. I returned it and received my payment back.

I've only had it a few weeks so tough to tell how it will hold up long term, but first impressions are great. It is quite an improvement in the noise department compared to the craftsman oil-less it replaced. Fill time and recovery time is great, and it does everything I can throw at it with ease. I mostly use it in my garage as a weekend mechanic, and to keep tires and pool toys inflated.

Good buy for the home DIY. Good for a variety of air power tools. A little noisy and about a six to seven minute build up.

I have only had the compressor for two weeks. I am pleased so far with the performance. I like how quiet this compressor is.

Much louder than described.

First one i got kept blowing the breaker. The second one i got after returning the first one came with no break in oil, the sight glass and drain were loose. But the box it came with was dry which means it came like that from the manufacturer. Besides that the belt was not even on the pulley electric motor was set to the loosest belt tension. After fixing all of that so far it works great. If you buy one just make sure to inspect the compressor. And get the extended warranty.

I bought one less than two years ago and the bracket holding the brushes which is made of plastic got broken. The only way to replace the bracket is by buying the whole pump which is $469 tax plus shipping. Just to replace a single piece that cost $9.00 dollars

Well built, solid. Sufficient run time for small air tools on small projects. I would like it even better if the oil did leak out all over the floor. After about 20 uses this problem arose. Now it's a useless boat anchor till it gets fixed or blown up. Think I'll upgrade to something more respectable.

Works great very quiet

Air leak where the main line connects to the top of the tank. Took it apart and applied teflon tape to the threads and it still leaked. Took it apart again and cleaned the threads and applied triple the amount of tape and still leaked. Took it apart for the third time, cleaned it and applied pipe dope. Let it set for a week before trying it and guess what... Still leaked. Will be returning for a different brand.

Looked at several different roll-around air compressors and decided on the Husky 30 gallon upright. Like the fact that you can switch the motor to 240V. This Husky is replacing my 45 year old Montgomery Ward 20 gallon horizontal roll-around. (It finally bit the dust!)

Took it out of the box, plugged it in and the manifold leaks. Very disappointing. Got it ready to go back. Trying to get help returning it has been a nightmare.
