I tried three different sizes of these magnetic socket trays, and they all worked well. The magnets are strong but not so strong as to prevent you from removing the tray from a lined drawer. I did find that the sockets tended to stick magnetically as I removed them, which could dislodge other sockets, but it was a minor annoyance. The trays are fairly large and I found I could put two sets of sockets in some of them!

A convenient way to organize one’s sockets and avoid possible loss or misplacement of sockets, this formed sheet metal tray, provided with a magnet to retain the sockets and secure it to any magnetic surface is easily stored in one’s tool box or brought to the work area. The upper lips of the tray are flared slightly, making it easy to grip and to insert the sockets to be stored. In my case, there was enough space to store both metric and inch socket sets (see photo), which also reduced the volume needed in the tool box. The powder coated finish appears to be durable and the no-mar surface of the magnetic base will protect the finish of the equipment or tool box to which it is attached to.

Husky 6.8 inch long Magnetic 1/4 inch Drive Shallow Socket Tray is what I've been looking for my small socket set. I have a small socket set and the sockets are all over the place. I have tried to find someplace to store them, from plastic baggies to cough drop tins. I thought this tray would be more secure than getting more socket rails that I've been using for my larger size sockets.
Now, I finally have the right solution. This is a sturdy, metal tray that is magnetized so the sockets don't pop out easily. It is a strong magnet that runs along the bottom of the tray. The tray can be picked up to select the correct socket, the sockets are all in order of size, they are held firmly in place and don't move around. I believe the tray was designed for a mechanics cabinet draw, but it works with any metal tool box. It is small, doesn't take much room, will adhere to any metal object. It is an ideal place to store a small size socket set.

Husky 6.8 in. W Magnetic 1/4 in. Drive Shallow Socket Tray. All steel construction with softer backing to help protect finished surfaces and a strong neodymium magnetic base will remain secure on horizontal or vertical steel surfaces.
I really like the way the sockets stay secure so you can take the tray out of your drawer and are very easy to remove from the tray. You do not have to worry about the sockets rolling around or dropping on the floor when you are using multiple sizes.
They arrived by priority mail so you receive the tray very quickly.

I wanted to like this magnetic tray, but didn't. The width of the tray was too narrow to fit my sockets. Not a good design. I ended up returning it. I gave it 2 stars, because it might be satisfactory for a few small sockets, but not for a full set.
