This is a massive compressor. It stands almost 6 feet tall and weighs in at about 480 pounds. The two cylinder pump has a high volume cylinder and a high pressure cylinder. One feeds the next, on this cast iron compressor head. It also has a massive cast iron flywheel and fan that’s driven by a 220 volt motor thru a single V belt. It's definitely one for high volume or high pressure needs. This compressor supplies all the air I need for any and all of my shop tools. From a small drill to a large 7" high speed grinder. Unless I am running a big grinder constantly there is now enough air to run more than one tool at a time. Since this compressor runs up to 175 PSI it has plenty of reserve pressure to quickly pump up 90 PSI truck tires. Smaller compressors have a hard time quickly filling anything high pressure since the pump cuts out in the 100 to 120 PSI range. This compressor is designed to supply air to a shop, it will need a shut off valve and all piping to distribute air to all areas of your shop. It's not shipped with any tools or hoses; it's just the compressor with a 3/4" outlet. Since this is a 220 volt compressor it will need its own circuit and wiring. I won't go into the specifics of how to wire this for obvious reasons but if you are comfortable wiring your new compressor its straight forward. If you have any doubts contact a qualified electrician. Since this is a tall and narrow compressor that’s top heavy it must be bolted to the floor. I used 4 - 5/16" x 2 1/2" lag bolts into lead molly's to mount it to my shops concrete floor. I hoped that this compressor would be quiet enough to talk over when it's running and it is. It makes the most noise then the compressor comes up to pressure and dumps pressure out of the compressor head. One note; this compressor will need to be run for a minimum of 20 minutes without building any pressure. Just free running to break in the cast iron compressor head.

Much Quieter than I expected. Machine has been working perfectly so far. Heavy use facility and this compressor has not stumbled once or let us down.
