Well I have finally reached that point in my life where a long day of house projects and yard work kills my back. That meant it was time to get a back support. I may look like my grandpa in it but I feel like a boss! The snug fit and the adjustable straps keep me moving all day and now the only thing that hurts at the end of the day are my feet instead of my back. I have yet to really break it in on a big project, but it makes a huge difference doing yard work and moving things around up and down the attic ladder. I will not share a picture of me in it. Trust me. I look like a beast in it! I feel bad for my neighbors watching me walk around in it shirtless though.

Getting older and having back issues and still wanting to woodwork and do construction and physical stuff brings me to owning this support belt. Never knew how helpful this item could be. As to this particular support there seems to be three levels. There is the main belt its self that acts like a compression tube . It fastens around you with a large Velcro closure. Then there are little fiber ribs that go vertically up your lower back. They are rigid enough to supply support and flexible enough to be non cumbersome or hinder movement. The third layer , at least for me, adjusts the direct amount of support offered to my lower back. All in all this is a pretty solid helper. I am not to certain as to the life span of this belt as it is stretch material like a compression piece and that's basically elastic.

Great price, works well, but runs a bit small and I hate the suspenders. I got this belt to replace my decade old Nichols back support belt. The Husky is a close match and the price was right ($15 at the time of this review). I am a skinny carpenter with a waist of 30”, so I was surprised that the medium belt fit me (32-38 waist). So I would say size up one higher than you are used to. The support is good and construction looks like it will last. But what was a big miss for me is that the suspenders are not detachable. I’m not fond of the suspenders they pull the belt up over time (skinny guy problem). My old belt has loops to remove the elastic shoulder straps. The husky’s are sewn to the belt so I had to cut them off. Overall it’s a good price but average functionality since I had to modify….so a C+.

This is an excellent back support belt, possibly the best in the market. I really like the suspenders which help me maintain good posture while lifting. I wear it whenever I need to do some heavy lifting as it provides me with both physical support and mental peace of mind I wear size 34 jeans and I find the medium size fits me perfectly. Since back pain can be so debilitating, I believe this is something everyone should have in their garage and use regularly to protect their backs.

This back support really works! I got it on a lark before my big spring yard clean up, including spreading 20 bales of pine straw, figured ‘couldn’t hurt, might help.’ In the days after my big weekend of yard work, my back isn’t sore at all! Big change from previous years, so gotta give credit to this back support. My waist it is a couple inches smaller the recommended sizing for a Medium (I’m 5’6” female), but the generous amount of velcro made it no problem to attach snugly and it stayed put. I velcro’d it on, pulled the suspenders up, and went to work. Wore it two days in a row for about 6 hrs active yard work time each day - It remained comfortable throughout the day, and didn’t cause any noticeable limitations in my crawling over/under/around the plants/deck/etc to grab and spread the pine straw, and clearly kept me in better lifting form than usual. Wish I’d gotten one years ago :)

Husky made a great and affection back support. The combination of great quality materials like polyester makes the belt durable and lightweight. It’s well designed to take off the stress out of your back and gives you confidence to keep work for longer time. The media size can fits waist sizes from 32” to 38”. The suspenders are great and can be adjusted too. Completely washable when needed.

The HUSKY EXTRA LARGE BLACK BACK SUPPORT BELT is a great product that is designed to reduce stress on your lower back and prevent injury when used properly. I don't do alot of heavy lifting but occasionally it is required when doing some yard work so i got this for those times and it definitely helps me from over working my back. The back support is easy to use because it's fully adjustable for waists from 46 inches to 56 inches and the suspenders are adjustable too. This back support is washable too incase you get it dirty or sweaty. There is a 3 year warranty. If you dona lot of heavy lifting i would definitely suggest and recommend this product, its a cheap price for a little bit of added protection.

I ordered the Husky Black Back Support in a size extra-large. I have ordered other back supports, but this one is excellent in comparison. When putting on the support, you put your arms through the suspender straps and the support around your stomach fastens by velcros. What is awesome about this support brace is that it has two ways of making the support tighter or looser. One support overlays the other support. In the back, there are sewn in supports that go up and down your lower back too.See pictures for details.

I recently hurt my back from all the lifting, carrying and dropping off and due to my poor acting back, it finally gave away. The amount of pressure that my back had absorbed into my L6 nerve. These nerves control alot of the upper leg muscles I was able to receive this item thru the home depot web site. Shipping was free.? The back support is easy to wipe clean and adjustable. Lots of room to make adjustments. This back support saved me when I was busy from work and needed back support

This back support is well made and the shoulder straps are a great help. The hook and loop parts make it super easy to adjust, put on and take off with ease. While Im working in the shop I don't like to keep it on all the time but the shoulder straps are handy to keep the belt hanging loos until I need it and don't have to go looking for it. The material seems to breath well and overall is comfortable.

Extra Large Black Support belt This Back Support Belt more than met my expectations it is a very good quality belt made of polyester, the stitching looks very good, the first time I put it on it fit perfect (after adjustment), this belt is easy to put on with hook and loop waist strap and is very easy to adjust, 46” to 56” waist adjustment and the elastic suspenders are also adjustable it is black in color and is machine washable this is a very comfortable back support belt and it is exactly as described and I highly recommend it.

I bought the Extra Large Size, but I am really a large size (34” waist, 6’ tall) This says it is for a 46”-56” waist, but as you can see from the pictures it seems to fit me just fine. It has a main Velcro closure, but also has a left and right Velcro closure to tighten around your back. It has four plastic ribs in the back to provide additional support. It fits well and is comfortable. The suspender straps are not removable.

The support belt came quickly, was well packaged and was not damaged. It came at just the right time. I am packing up my house to move. I have a bad back and the belt has been a life saver when lifting the heavy packing boxes. It has almost eliminated the severe pain I have been experiencing when stressing my back. I recommend this belt to anyone that wants to relieve back pain while working or wants to prevent back injury!

This is a well constructed back support with adjustable suspender straps but has sone shortcomings. 1) complaint is the sizes run very small. I have a 34” waist. The medium belt is for sizes 32” to 38”. I was barely able to get the velcro to close at the waist. 2) There is no secondary closure strap like many belts have. (In case the velcro lets loose). Sorry folks, I cannot recommend this belt. 3 Stars

Having one of these back support belts is real nice especially if you have some back problems or just want some extra support when lifting heavy objects. This support belt seems well made and is pretty easy to adjust and put on. I chose the extra large as I am somewhat of a full-figured men, and figured this would be the best size. While it does fit it would have been nice just to have a few more inches of belt to work with. I’m happy I got this though, and it will be very useful to have around my shop when I need some extra support for my back.

This HUSKY MEDIUM BLACK BACK SUPPORT BELT fits me great! So the waist sizing they put on their packaging is spot on! I have a 36" waist so I got a medium, which says it will fit from a waist size of 32" up to a waist size of 38". Once the belt is on, it also fits the contours of my waist/hip area so it doesn't dig into my hip bones like some support belts do. The straps are adjustable as well, which is another great feature. I will be using it tis weekend as I help a friend move.

The HUSKY EXTRA LARGE BLACK BACK SUPPORT BELT is actually extra large. It fits around my extra large body and is quite comfortable to wear. This back support belt has attached adjustable suspenders. The support belt cinches with Velcro and has an extra right and left support belt that cinches with Velcro. I have worn support belts before, but this one is large enough to be comfortable and for the Velcro to stay attached. I do recommend this product.

This medium back support belt is nice. I do a lot of work outside in my yard and I have a bad back. My old brace does not have the shoulder support like this. when putting this one on and using the shoulder support the suspenders it is comfortable to wear. At first I did not think i would like it much but I do. it is fully adjustable and has elastic so it stretches easily when bending over. it also has a out layer adjustment as well as a enter layer adjustment on the back support itself. Husky has made a nice back support that does not slide down when bending over because of the shoulder supports. Nice support belt for sure

Just got this extra large back support belt and it is very comfortable. The belt is nice and wide, with a full-width hook and loop fastener at the front. In addition, there are two compression belts, one on either side, that let you adjust the amount of compression. That lets you customize the compression you feel, and adds greatly to the support felt. Any time I'm doing lots of back-related work, I like to use one of these as it really cuts down on the recovery and pain.

This extra large back support belt is perfect to wear all day to help my posture and to support my back. I have been experiencing back pain for the last year and now that I wear this belt I feel much less discomfort at the end of the work day. I bought one at a local pharmacy but it was too thick and very uncomfortable. With this Husky back support belt I can bend down, sit, reach up and twist as needed to do regular type work on the jobsite with ease and comfort while protecting and support my back. I plan to buy a couple more to rotate them during the hot summer months while I wash them. Definitely will be part of my uniform and PPE.

As someone with already existing back issues due to an accident, avoiding aggravating my back is a high priority. Albeit not the end-all-be-all solution to back problems, I found this product to be a noteworthy supplemental item in prevention. The support belt was easy to put on and take off when necessary. Though I didn’t engage in any significant strenuous activity, I did find that the belt offer some support in lifting activities by tightening the core. The only significant negative, causing loss of points for me, is the California cancer/reproductive harm/birth defects warning. I do wish the manufacturer chose a better material or manufacturing process to omit this unnecessary exposure to end users. If this is not something that is a dealbreaker for you, then this product is definitely functional and not a bad investment.

I decided to try this back support after my original one became too small for me. I find it to be supportive as well as comfortable to wear while working. It is definitely helping with my backpain. The size, an XL, is a good size for me for it allows me to wear it comfortably over heavier clothing in the winter, like a sweater, sweatshirt or otherwise. It is very adjustable since it has 3 main Velcro fasteners, the first being the main one that secures it around your waist, then there are 2 additional ones, one on each side to tighten or add more support by stretching them and then locking the Velcro. You also have suspender like straps that go over your shoulders to control the height. Very good product.

This is a well made back support belt. The stitches are strong and well sewn. It fits well and is comfortable to wear. It doesn't pinch or cut into your skin. It has 4 stiff support bars across the back which gives a comfortable support when lifting heavy items. It also provides comfort if your back is already sore and aching. I would definitely purchase this item again.

Overall I would have to say that I am disappointed by this back support. I do a lot of DIY and have always suffered from a sore back. While the support is easy to work out how to put on, there are no clear instructions on how best to configure the elasticated Velcro straps to get the best support. I ended up giving myself a stomach ache as it seemed to work more as a corset than a back support. I tried positioning the support in several different areas and none of them really felt like they were assisting my back. I still had a back ache after using it!

The back support belt is an excellent buy. I needed something to support my back while working around my yard and this belt did the trick. Prior to getting the belt my back would ache after mowing and working around the yard. When I used the belt while working it provided sufficient support. It is easy to adjust for the best comfort. I hardly knew that I had it on while working. Once I took it off my back was no longer aching. I didn't thing that these things worked, but I was pleasantly supprised. I would highly recommend this back support belt.

This Support Belt looks and feels substantial. The suspenders are adjustable and should fit most. The issue I had was I could not put the belt on to wear it. I wear size 44 pants and thought "XL" should fit, maybe even with a little slack. They did not. I could not even fasten the velcro enough to wear it. Very disappointing, especially when the package clearly says if fits sizes 46-54. Husky needs to revise their sizing and make it appropriate to actual men's pant sizes.

I am 5'8, 135 lbs. I bought this medium sized back support and it fits perfect. It is adjustable so if you are a little bigger or a little small this will work for you. It was just about perfect right in the middle for me. My job is unloading trucks by hand and stacking things on pallets. I unload mostly frozen seafood which can be very heavy sometimes. My buddy that I work with always wears a back support and I would joke with him and tease him for wearing it. I guess the joke was on me because my back would be sore after a long day and he would be fine. I ended up grabbing this back support because the guy I work with let me try his one day and it really helped. It is very comfortable and lightweight. You barely notice its there until you try to lift wrong with your back and it reminds you to use your legs. The support sticks built into this brace are flexible but firm. Since I have been using this back brace my back has been feeling much better after a day of lumping trucks. I have a better form and it helps me lift with my knees instead of my back. If you are doing alot of heavy lifting and your back is always aching then go ahead and give this a try. You can thank me later. I hope I was able to help someone today.

Husky Back Support Belt Black Medium item # 668607 for waist size 32-38 inches. Because of the current epidemic contact precautions, I have been forced to do many repetitive lifts of heavy construction supplies by myself. The strain from lifting and twisting of my back under these loads has been taxing and leaving me with a sore back on numerous days. I want to avoid suffering from a repetitive injury and sought some support devise. I selected a back support belt based on sizing chart. The item runs true-to-size with adjustable elastic suspenders and hook and loop waist straps to provide a custom-like individual fit. There are support ribs spaced along the waistband. Once adjusted to my body dimensions, it was rather comfortable to wear and did not interfere with mobility. Wore it for several hours on job site while lifting heavy objects or remaining in a crouched like position without incurring that nagging low back ache at the end of the day. I would recommend this type of appliance to anyone who might be required to perform labor where the risk of a back strain or injury could occur. Husky offers a 3 year replacement warranty for defective workmanship or material defects. Laundry directions not included. Manufactured in China.

Husky Back Support Belt With Adjustable suspenders. Support belt is easy to adjust and easy to put on. Size says 32 inch waist to 38 inch. I am a 34 and it fits OK. But I don't think it would make a 38 inch waist without a lot of squeezing in.... :) I like the suspenders , as once you have it set up correctly to fit you it helps maintaion that position. There is a velcro tab to connect right in front - and then two elastic band parts that connect to the sides to tighten up the fit. My back feels supported and when lifting , i feel less stress upon my back - and full support. I keep one in my shop and one in my truck.

I'm a big boy (56" waist) and this support belt has felt good on me. The only real problem is due to my anatomy. I have a basketball belly (a really big one). After bending over a few times the belt always rides up to my breast level and I have to reposition it. A crotch strap would be the one perfect addition. But as to what it is for, helping distribute the strain when lifting and maintaining posture, it is a good belt.
