This is the tool set I always wanted. Almost 50 years ago I bought my first socket tool set. It was a Craftsman which served me well over the years. I was into drag racing and would take my tools with me on race days. Try as I did, I could never come up with a good way to organize my tools effectively. This tool set does that and I love it. I don't race anymore but I still need an easily transportable tool set when working on my children's cars. I feel very comfortable recommending this tool set to you. The quality is good and it will handle almost every job most DIY'er will come across.

I'm not even sure where do I start on reviewing this tool set, as there are so many pieces and applications they can be used on. This set is an upgrade to an old 20 plus year set I have been using. You know old sets, missing pieces and ratchets that need lubrication to work. Husky makes a pretty decent tool from my personal experience. This set is the perfect portable size at a fair price for better tool quality. It has it all. The tool case is a heavy plastic with four quick snaps for security. Comfortable handle. The tool etchings are very large and easily readable for these old eyes and the storage area is also marked with larger than normal markings for easy location. The included assortment of sockets, ratchets and bits will cover most any task. It's a very nice package for the price. Highly recommend shopping this set.

If you are looking for a tool set that is easy to take with you and has just about anything you would need on the go, then this is the one I would suggest. The tools are high quality and they come in a convenient case that keeps them organized and handy. All of the tools are clearly etched with there size and are very easy to see. The set has just about any size socket you would normally need in three different size drives and just about any small fastener drive bit you can think of. The only thing I can think of is it would be nice to have a good size pair of channel lock pliers also. I work for a marine repair service and this set has been very handy to have with me on service calls.

Impressive assortment! This tool set has a wide variety of tools, probably in every size we would ever need for everyday use. They arrived nicely packaged in a sturdy carrying case, with each piece snuggly fit into a molded section specifically designed for that piece. My husband was particularly impressed with the nut drivers, as the selection was more expansive than any other set he has owned. We would definitely recommend this product to all.

This is a great set. Very comprehensive as it has almost anything you would ever need. I really like the way they put the allen wrenches in a pouch all by themselves instead of in a plastic block. I feel like its easier to work with. I also like that fact that when I got the set, after it has been shipped, all the sockets and pieces, big and small, were exactly where they were supposed to be. Nothing had shifted which means the case is perfect!!! Love this set.

This is a great mechanics tool set. It comes with three different sized sockets and driver bits. Both the wrenches and ratchet have a great feel in your hand. The weight is perfect and all of the tools have a high quality of feeling. The tools wipe clean easily, which is very important for me. I try to keep all of my tools in the best of shape. The tools will last for ever. Great Set. I would strongly recommend to everyone who uses these types of tools.

This is one extremely impressive tool set. The tool set comes with just about any type of socket or wrench that the average person would ever use! This set has replaced at least three different tool sets that I previously owned. Having such a variety has made getting jobs done much easier. I only have to grab this set and I am confident that it will have the tool / driver that is needed. Great Product! I would strongly recommend!!

This is a great set. This is a set that I keep in the garage to take care of any situation that pops up. I can work on anything that comes into the garage that needs a complete set of wrenches and sockets weather Metric or Standard. The open ended wrenches are great and cover the common sizes, anything else you need to purchase a complete set of open needed wrenches in Metric or SAE. This is a very nice looking functional wrench and sockets. The gears on the drivers will easily handle anything that is thrown at it. It has a set of allen wrenches which make this an all inclusive set. The different sizes of drivers allows you to go from light duty to heavy duty without digging around in the tool box for a different size. The deep sockets cover the main sizes but anything more will require an additional full set. This all in all is a great set for a starter outer! It meets the needs I have at this point in time. I would recommend it heartily.

This set includes the following: 3 ratchets, 8 wrenches, a bit driver, 3 drive adapters, 12 nut driver bits, 10 screwdriver bits, 4 extension bars, 14 hex keys, and 94 various sockets (both US and metric.) It comes in a durable Husky hard plastic case which is excellent for storage as well as for carrying in you car or boat to job sites. The case, when filled, is fairly heavy. It contains the types of tools that we need around the house and more. It's always really nice to have the tool that you need, when you need it rather than having to pick them up one by one.

The Husky 211 piece Tool Set is a complete set of tools one would ever need. Comes in a sturdy case and all the tools sit inside securely - not bouncing around once you close the cover. I like the different size sockets as well as long sockets for almost all tasks. Includes Torx as well as complete set of Allen wrenches. I used it for 3 minor furniture assembly already and found it very convenient to have everything all in one. The only hesitation I would have is that it's heavy to carry around. Set it in one place then it's very nice. The quality of tools is premium as well. Beautiful chrome finish.

This is a great set. It includes most of the tools that a home mechanic might need to be able to work on cars or household items. There are only 8-wrenches (4-SAE and 4-Metric) s that makes this somewhat of an incomplete set. That said, the socket sets are extensive. There are ¼”, 3/8” and ½” drive and extensions for each. There are nut drivers and hex wrenches in both SAE and metric. The only other thing I see that’s missing is a spark plug socket. Overall, I think any do it yourselfer or even a pro would be happy with this set. These come with a lifetime warranty.

This Husky mechanics tool set includes a variety of SAE and Metric deep and shallow sockets in 1/2, 3/8 and 1/4 inch drive, wrenches, 1/4 inch bits with a manual handle and hex wrenches. I like the multiple drive sizes in a single kit. However, the 1/2 drive sockets are 12 point while the 1/4 and 3/8 drive sockets are six point. I would rather have 6 point in the 1/2 drive for strength and durability. The ratchets feature a 5 degree arc (72 teeth) which is fairly good. I have seen higher in other products. The manual handle for 1/4 drive bits is not ratcheting which was disappointing. My other disappointment was the blow mold case. The sockets fall out of their positions when the case is moved which leads to a mess upon opening. In addition, while the case features decent hinges and front latches, the side latches are not hinged and will break off after repeated use. Etchings on the sockets are easy to read. The lifetime warranty ups the value of this set. I tested the socket wrenches under stress by putting a bolt into a vice and cranking down the nut as hard as I could. The socket wrenches did not fail. Instead the nut stripped on the bolt.

Husky has done it once again. I love this Husky Mechanics Tool Set (211-Piece)! The socket sets cover just about any socket you would ever need. And coming in 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" is a huge plus. All sockets come in SAE and METRIC. This tool set also comes with Star (Torx) bits, hex keys, screwdriver bits, adapters to say use a 1/4' socket in a 3/8' ratchet, or a 38" socket in the 1/2' ratchet. The ratchets are made with 72-teeth and a handy button on top to release a socket. There are also 12 wrenches. The only downside to them is they come in 12 point and not the better 6-point. A 12-point will round a a nut or bolt head much easier than the 6-point. However, that does not take away anything for this tool set. It is an outstanding tool set from Husky. All sockets and other attachments are made with large, hard-stamped size markings. I have many Husky tools and they are all great and have a Lifetime Warranty.

I am very impressed with this tool set. All of the sockets are made of good material and hold up against heavy torque. The sockets are also accurate in their sizes and size label (they are not loose when you have the correct size socket on a bolt). As for the bits: wow, it has everything. It even has security torx bits. The ratchets are of good and strong quality too. In the past I have broken husky ratchets (bearing or something went out) But I have not had a problem with these. It is a completely different design and it seems to be working. When I originally looked at this I noticed there was no case in the picture, however, it comes with a well organized case! Way awesome set. I would recommend.

This is a review of the Husky Mechanics Tool Set (211-Piece). This set has almost everything. I am super impressed. You get lots of Torx and Hex pieces, both for a ratchet and in a quarter inch drive format. You also get phillips and regular screw driver ratchet items. It even has security Torx bits. Pretty incredible. The case is pretty decent, but really not super rugged. I had to add a second piece of foam to stick in the case to keep the pieces from moving around. The screw driver has a magnet to keep bits in place, which is super handy. The sockets have really easy to read labels. The ratchets themselves are average, but this is a home gamer set, so they should last a long time. This is a great first set of tools for any one, and the no questions lifetime guarantee is pretty sweet too.

Wow. This Husky mechanics tool set is literally everything you need. The case is strong plastic with 4 clamps to keep it closed. once you open it, there may be small pieces that fall out if they are clamped in tightly. You could have a huge mess on your hands if more than 1 or 2 pieces fall out. 211 pieces is more than enough to work with and the quality is top notch. i like it. oh and its heavy

First time homeowners need first time tools as well. This is a perfect set to begin with as your initial purchase of tools or as a gift to someone who could use more tools, and who doesn't. They do have a lifetime no questions asked warranty from Home Depot so they could last your lifetime under average homeowner and light mechanic jobs. The fit on attachments seems fine but here and there the finish of the tool have minor pitting and the markings that are lightly etched on them have been so light they cannot be seen on a few of them in the set. The weakest link in the entire set is the hinges on the case that the tools come in. With use the plastic hinges on itself and will wear through. Includes 3 ratchets, 108 sockets, 12 wrenches, 88 accessories. The screwdriver handle with multiple tips is a real space saver over having the entire handled tool of each of those tips. It's actually pretty big bang for the buck!

This is one of the most complete tool sets I have ever seen. From the three different size ratchets and extensive offering of sockets, to the extensions, adapters, bits, hex keys, wrenches, etc., this set contains everything that a beginning mechanic or an avid DIYer like me will need. The case has four (4) latches to hold it closed because of it's large size and weight. There are two red latches on the front and two black latches on the sides. There are even eyelets beneath the handle for a small lock to keep someone from "borrowing" something without permission. An important feature of this set is that it is all in one case for you to take with you to the job or project. And a great thing about the set is that it is a Husky, meaning it has a lifetime guarantee; no questions asked and no receipt needed. Just take the broken/damaged item to your Husky store (Home Depot) and exchange it. For the rest of your life! I have seen smaller sets of ratchets and sockets costing almost as much as this complete set. That alone makes this set a great value. Highly recommended.

This tool kit has a LOT of what you might need, in a handy easy to carry tote box for on-the-go action. One very nice feature of the plastic tote box is that is has METAL hinge pins, making me believe these hinges are going to last a lot longer than many of the other tool and tote boxes I've used. The latches are all plastic, though, and might fail with use. All of the wrenches and sockets are well labeled and fit in the spaces mostly snug. Of the tools inside, only the bit driver seems inadequate. I would have hoped that in a set like this, it would have ratchet action. But the bit driver is strictly manual. The whole kit weighs in at almost exactly 20 pounds.

We needed a compact set of tools for my wife's SUV for those emergency/super of the moment needs for tools. This set was a perfect set for our needs. comes with several different sockets, wrenches, hex keys, screw driver body with several different bits. These tools are durable and easy to use. I have been using Husky Tool sets for many years now and have never been disappointed by their performance, durability and usefulness. My aim has been to keep a Husky socket and ratchet set in each of our vehicles so I'll always have a way to make minor repairs while on the road. This Husky 149-piece mechanic's tool set fills the bill for a set that fits in a fairly compact, well-organized carry case and includes 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 ratchets, sockets, open-end wrenches, hex wrenches, screwdriver bits and hex-nut driver bits in both SAE and metric sizes. This set has almost everything that you might need for routine mechanical work. Of course anyone who does mechanical work knows that there will always be that something that you need in some cases like a swivel-extension or a longer extension or other stuff that just pops up out of the blue that isn't included. This set's sockets are high-polish chrome and have the sizes boldly stamped in large numbers on each. The ratchets are also high-polish chrome have quick-disconnect buttons and are of the professional tear-drop style that I prefer. I have only two small gripes. One is that the magnetic screwdriver handle didn't include an adapter (1/4 hex to 1/4 square drive) so I could use the 1/4 in. sockets with the screwdriver. And two, the smaller sockets fall out of their spaces in the carry case when it is closed and turned over for normal carrying. I believe that I can cut a thin plastic sheet to size that will act as a divider and hold the errant sockets in place. However I am very impressed by this Husky 149 Piece Mechanic's Tool Set. It is of the highest quality and it has a lifetime guarantee that is honored by the Home Depot. Overall excellent and highly recommended.

Great little automotive kit! I have been stocking up on these for our work vans, so my guys have a complete set of sockets and wrenches that's easy to store. Just used my own kit the other day to replace the stop valves in a shower control that was recessed too far into a tiled wall. Case latches securely, and the overall form factor is relatively small. Doesn't take up much shelving space in a van. I do recommend cutting a piece of thicker cardboard to fit inside and act as a packer to hold everything in place if you're going to be bouncing this around on jobsites; the included foam spacer deteriorates quickly and doesn't do much to keep everything in place. Cardboard lasts longer and is easily replaced when needed.

This is totally comprehensive set of sockets for the DIY weekend warrior. You can loosen or tighten just about anything your heart desires with this set. The 1/4" drive lets you attack the smallest of the small fasteners in tight quarters and the 1/2" drive lets you tackle the heavy duty jobs. Husky tools are always quality and these are up to speed with the Husky name. Every DIY'er has socket sets and wrenches. The issue is getting them from point A to B and keeping track of everything. All the parts are held in place when the lid is shut and your carrying it around. You plop it down and open it up and EVERYTHING is where it should be. All of it is packed into an amazingly small and easy to transport package. I have had kits similar to this before, but the parts that stored in the lid would NEVER stay, and when you opened it you would have part everywhere. Each spot in the case is marked with the specific size wrench or socket that goes there. I have a Ford 4000 tractor, riding mower, disc, brush hog and other equipment at my house and farm that this will make maintaining a breeze. This tool set will get a lot of miles on it.

This is a very comprehensive tool set. It has a very good selection of sockets, going all the way down to 5mm (including 5.5mm!). It has both six-point and twelve-point sockets, a good assortment of deep sockets, two sets of hex keys, and three ratchets - 1/2 inch, 3/8 inch, and 1/4 inch. The case is okay. The foam liner that is meant to hold all of the sockets and wrenches in place is too thin to do the job adequately if you carry it around. For just sitting flat, it works fine. The wrenches that live in the lid seem to stay in their slots when you open it.

Good quality, very comprehensive collection of tools for the DIY mechanic, or even just the DIYer. I am particularly pleased because this will allow me to declutter my garage, shedding my collection of redundant, piecemeal tools amassed over time. The set includes a wide selection of sockets, Allen wrenches, and screwdriver bits. Excellent workmanship on the tools, and the tools are covered by a lifetime warranty - excluding the case. Gripes: a ratcheting screwdriver base would have been a nice touch - fortunately I already have one. Also, I can see why the warranty excludes the case - it’s not very, well, husky. Husky could have taken some notes from Rigid, here. About 2 weeks in, and one of the latches has come apart. Hopefully I can reattach it. The latches do seem a little flimsy - not sure why Husky cut a corner there. Overall, pleased with the set but I have to deduct points for the case.

This entire set is phenomenal and well worth it! We had old (no, really, old) set of tools that was worn and no longer usable. I ordered this to replace the old set and I am very impressed! I took a couple pictures and hope they come through. Although the photos do not do justice for the weight of the entire tool set (and very well packaged, I must say), I cannot wait to use the new tools and have enough jobs to use them on!
