Plastic/rubber compound that this is made of felt like it was pretty low quality. I went against my better judgement and installed it anyway. It was easy to install. We started the dishwasher this morning and water was hemorrhaging from the bottom of the dishwasher. The coupling had ripped in half and the dishwasher was discharging water all over our white oak floors. So disappointing, I would look elsewhere for a quality product if your taking the time to redo the drain line on your dishwasher.

Our old starter disposal locked up and started backing up from the dishwasher. I looked at a bunch of different options but this one had an excellent price than others with the same power. It wasn’t exactly apples to apples, but had more power and came with power cord installed for the same price as those with less power. I purchased this a couple of months ago and installed it shortly after I picked it up. (Quick delivery to store and easy pickup). I didn’t end up needing the connector but the disposal went in easily - just had to work around a terrible pipe job done by the contractor when our house was built, which left less room to work than should have been. Again though, the disposal itself and hook-up were pretty easy to install. It’s a little loud like many others have mentioned but much better than the old disposal. Runs really smooth with good power. I highly recommend it!!

Plumber hooked both up, both leaked. He says brand is known to produce bad batches.

Product is great. I was replacing another In-sinkerator, so installing the new one was pretty simple, even for a 71 year old man like me. Old one lasted nearly 20 years, so I got my money's worth. When I turned it on, everything was purring like it should.

It was apparently very easy to install. It did not take very long and seems to be working fine.

I purchased this product to help switch out an old garbage disposal for a new, stronger, insinkerator model. The instructions on the back of the packaging are teriible and confusing. There are also no additional resources for the product online. I could not find a video or picture of an installed one. Please provide additional installation support and references. With better references and directions, I'd probably give this product 5/5 stars.

Make sure you get the largest opening because not all disposals have the same outlet

I ordered the connector and a garbage disposer. As of today the garbage disposer still has not arrived and I have had no updates from Home Depot as to the shipping status. I was originally told that it would arrive 2/18, then 2/21 then 2/26 then 2/28 and lastly 3/5 but NADA.

Didn’t need. Not required said the plumber. Returning
