This underlayment did everything I could’ve asked for! We used it under our hardwood floors and it was very easy to use. It helped with all of the minor imperfections with our subfloor (texture and small knicks). It’ really helped with keeping it quiet when you’re walking and there’s 0 squeaks. I would highly recommend this especially as a first timer putting in flooring.

We've laid wood floor from 2 manufacturers in 4 rooms using 3 different underlays and this was the best of all for ease of fitting. The room we used it in had the most obviously imperfect floor. With some subfloor boards being obviously out of line. This covered the imperfections brilliantly and the floor went down so quick. We used nail down 2-1/4 and managed ~150sqft in about 17 hours. I just wish we'd used this from the start. Will be buying again as we replace the remaining floors.

This doesn't seem to have much thermal insulation value. The goal was for both acoustic and thermal insulation. This seems more lik thin carpet pad than insulation. But it will help in decoupling for expansion differential concerns.

This is a very nice product, and was easy to install and work with. My hardwood flooring manufacturer (3/4 inch oak hardwood nail down) specified a felt type underlayment that "does not" have a vapor barrier and this product fits that category. It gives some sound proofing qualities and a little cushion to the floor, it's very nice to walk on the finished floor. We have had it down for just a few weeks now and we are real pleased with the results. I ordered 6 rolls of this product from the home depot website (its not a regular stocked item in the stores) on a Monday and it was at the store and ready for pickup on wed. morning! Product is good. Delivery is okay, but the big issue is I placed and paid 4 orders, , only sent 1 order. I had to called them to get the refund. They didn’t trust me until I sent them the delivery pictures from fedex. So I reordered 3 of it. Only sent 1 again. This time, they refused to refund me 2 orders. I was so mad.

A great quality product at a very affordable price. Easily comparable to much more expensive underpayments. I highly recommend.

It’s not the same thickness as the 3’ rolls I started the flooring with but says it’s the same thing. Much thinner!!

This product is supposed to be compression resistant, but please consider what you are installing. Although it says not to use with hardwood under 3 inches, I am using 3.6 inch boards and finding that it is difficult to install subsequent boards. This is due to the fact that when I nail into the tongue of the first board, it is compressing into the underlayment. Also, this product is quite dirty and easy to rip as you are moving around on it. The soundproofing seems to be pretty good. I hope I don’t have any problems after the install.

Wanted to try something other than rosin paper and settled on this. Used with 3/4 in hickory hardwood & 2 inch staples. This underlayment worked well, easy to work with.

Insulayment provided a good underlayment for wood flooring.

This material was recommended in the H-D website as one of the best hardwood under layments. The installers said they could not use it. A real waste.

We were pleased to find an underlayment that would breathe. It is surprisingly thick, and should provide some acoustic as well as thermal barrier, and perhaps also help with leveling any inconsistencies from the joists/subfloor below.

It went down easily and worked well for sound reduction. Won’t know about it’s insulating properties until it gets cold again, but, overall I like it

I'm a professional tile installer and the porcelain installation that I did with this underlayment came out to be a failure. I didn't feel confident to use it but the contractor told me to go ahead. The tiles started to come loose and the grout cracked in less than a month. The underlayment is flexible so while it may be okay for a laminate job, is problematic for ceramic tile because ceramic installation requires a solid surface and not a sponge feel failure like this.

Good material for to take care of sound reduction when Tiles are installed.
