There was a bit of a glue smell to it...
There was a bit of a glue smell to it when it arrived, but aside from that, this is just what we wanted. It also had the added bonus of being well sanded, so I only had to brush it off before applying the finish.

Very heavy and well made! Perfect for a busy family...
Very heavy and well made! Perfect for a busy family that regularly seats 9 at the dinner table. It came unfinished which I did on purpose so I could match it to our table and the other chairs, but I like the color so much I'm going to match everything else to it!
