The box that I picked up was not in the best of conditions and had a couple of gouges in the cardboard. I noticed that on both back legs of the chair there were minior gouges in the wood. Small enough that I was able to sand them unoticeable.
Instructions were alright and all of the hardware was in the package. The list of hardware was especially helpful because everything was numbered.
Assembly took me longer because I used wood glue (not included) and clamped some of the pieces together to dry. Everything fit well. One of the screws just spineed and did not bite the wood in the pre-drilled hole. I made my own hardwood shim and glued it and put it into the screw hole and then the srew worked. I sanded it before staining which was easy because it was already smooth.
I think this is a very good solid chair for the money. I wish they made the arm rests about 1 inch talleras others have also noted. The construction feels solid.

Well milled solid wood was easy to assemble. All pieces were presanded and needed just light sanding before polyurethane. No missing parts. Clear instructions. Matches my other armless chairs I bought years ago. Very pleased.

Love it. For my older parents that’s a very good acquisition. They are strong and have arms for they to stand up without using the dinner table. We gave it a very nice color which match with the rest of the furniture.
