We purchased 2 of these to build 30” pocket doors for our daughters’ rooms in our tiny house. Our space is limited and one of the rooms is in a loft with a pitched ceiling, so pocket doors seemed the best fit. Johnson also sells frame and trim kits that look very nice but since both of our applications required custom solutions we opted for just the hardware set. The instructions and measurements were clear and easy to follow, and both doors turned out perfectly.

We like this much better than the EverBilt hardware that Home Depot used to sell. This one seemed to be of more robust construction and it rolls much more smoothly than does the EverBilt. Sometimes HD makes me crazy when it changes brands for no apparent reason, but this was a good move. After installing one between a bedroom and a hallway we bought another one to replace an EverBilt set that we recently installed between our new kitchen and another front room. Thankfully we haven't trimmed everything out yet, so it will be an easy swap. The EverBilt will get installed on a less-used closet I'm building in the workshop. The Johnson instructions are more graphic than written, but that's OK because they are pretty self explanatory. We've hung a pretty heavy French door on this hardware, but it moves with a one-finger push. It's now waiting for final trim out. In this case the bracket was secured underneath some lumber screwed into the wall studs and door header. We'll trim out the top and side with stained pine boards.

Very easy to install. The previous system I had was horrible. The three roller (x2) system allows the door to glide smoothly across the rail. Wish I would have found this many years earlier.

I am thrilled to report that this pocket door hardware exceeded my expectations in replacing the old broken hardware. The installation process was incredibly easy and the results are impressive - my pocket door now feels brand new again!

Replacing my old track was easy. The new product is very smooth. I'm very happy with it.

We use this as a replacement track and it was simple to cut, install, and works SOOO much better than the original one that came with our house (likely 40+ years ago). My only regret is that we did not do this sooner.

Needs more instructions difficult to read actual instructions.

Johnson Hardware makes the best pocket door tracks, hands down. Their stuff is durable and it lasts a long time. I had to get this set to replace some other brand that a builder used in our house 13 years ago. The other three Johnson tracks I've got are still going great. Their installation instructions could be a little better, but they have more detail on their website.

High quality and easy installation.

A big improvement over the original hanging”J” style rail. Cut to fit my 48” needs and really a perfect fit. The rail is just under 2” wide, more modern doors are framed out wider and some rails are too wide to fit. This kit was perfect.

Missing one of the trolly attachment plates. Would have been more disappointed if I hadn’t used the soft close kit with it that had all the parts needed.

Good product no rail mounting instructions

Very nice package to replace the hardware in and existing pocket door. The track is easy to install and includes keyed holes for the pocket frame so the track can be removed without cutting drywall if needed in the future. The door hardware was simple to install with clear instructions. The triple roller mechanism is so much quiet than the prior single roller. My only comment is there were no instructions or guidelines to installing the track, other than done dimensions. I noticed the keyed screw holes and realized they were to go inside the frame. I should also have cut the frame a little shorter so the rollers could be replaced without removing the track. But overall I am very satisfied.

Not a bad kit, way better than the Everbilt stuff. Would be better if it came with the ball bearing rollers that can be purchased separately, but not in store. The nylon rollers it comes with aren’t nearly as nice.

The only way to go. You don't want to have to do this replacement twice. Great quality.

Saw someone repairing a pocket door on you tube. I paused the video to read the name of the product he was using. The video installation seemed so easy and strait forward, I figured I had to try it myself. I went to Home Depot and purchased this rail system and installed it the same day. Besides cutting the rail a little to fit my doorway and having to do a little sheetrock work and touchup paint thereafter, this was a breeze and the project turned out perfect!
