Bought this product a year ago and, my fault, never used it. I had another chainsaw. Opened it up today and went over everything and all was good. Started easy and worked fine for 15 minutes then the chain jumped the bar and 2 blades merged never to be parted. There is no number to call for customer service. Very Bad! Not happy with Jonsered or whoever owns them!
This is a nice saw for moderate to heavy work - light and powerful. Starts easily. Not sure why it comes with a 20" bar and chain as opposed to a 16". The latter would be more than adequate for most uses and weigh a little less.
Got this saw after owning the (equivalent?) model saw in a Stihl farm boss. In my opinion this saw is more professionally built and hands down easier to start. It also smokes my old stihl when it comes down to cutting no contest. its good on gas and the low emissions is nice for our environment too.
I bought this saw to replace my aging Husqvarna 55. The 2255 is nearly the same saw and appears to share many of the same parts. The saw has plenty of power to fell and cut up large trees and starts much easier than my old 55 ever did. The only minor irritation I have with the 2255 is that the kill switch is easily bumped into the off position.
I bought this saw to replace a Farmboss that was always fighting me and never wanted to start. The 2255 has been great, I bought the 20" bar model and it fired right up out of the box and one or two pulls ever since. This weekend I dropped 7 trees clearing a new piece of property. This saw made all that cutting easy. The Farmboss is going up for sale at the next garage sale.
I purchased my CS2255 at Tractor Supply early spring of 2017 and this saw has performed flawlessly for me. It easily starts every time and I only use the True Fuel 50-1 2 cycle canned gas. The cutting power is phenomenal and will cut through a tree quickly. I could not find a Jonsered 20" bar at the Tractor Supply store but I have the Oregon bar and a Jonsered chain for a replacement. I have probably 15 hours on this saw. I dont know if it has the electronic carburetor like the other person who had troubles with theirs starting but this one is great. Compression relief valve works well.
